- Africa's richest city is for millionaires only and it's so exclusive that reminds me of the Principality of Monaco. It's called El Gouna and it's situated in Egypt and it was built by the billionaire Samih Sawiris in an area on the Red Sea near Hurghada. El Gouna, born like a modern resort, soon became a city and it's a place where only 5% of Egypt can afford to go on a vacation and only the 1% of Egypt (all millionaires) can afford to buy a house and live there.

Built along the shore and on small islands, El Gouna is known for its lagoons, coral reefs and sandy beaches. It has a population of 24,000 and boasts 17 of the region's best hotels, including a six-star one.

El Gouna is so much fun, hope recovery is getting there for you and such scenery and places.I think scenery speaks for itself,sarcasm jokes I truly appreciated.Half Mercedes kinda funny in restaurant,they took driving license that's interesting.
I’m moving back to Kenya to go get some proper medicines and hopefully fix my leg for good. It’s sad that I wasted a month inside a hotel...
@@MichelePonte Oh really,wow i am surprised Ethiopia didnt have right medicine,but anyways hopefully your journey to Kenya would be pleasant.Yes it is a bit of waste,but most importantly at least it is a bit better and also physiotherapy course helped out.I would suggest some decent Deep Tissue massage,but it must be done by proper specialist.Deep tissue because it reaches muscle layers very well out there,also for healing Sports massage is recommended.I am holistic massage therapist and have some certifications from holistic private school in Lithuania,but nowadays everyone is medical massage therapist.So as specialist,i would suggest first deep tissue massage and then sports massage for healing.Yes of course some medicines as well,i wonder if they have homeopathic medicines in Kenya out there.

Yes it's a rich resort where rich owns villas and units, however you don't need to be a millionaire to visit and enjoy El Gouna. There are hotels with different categories that many ppl can afford.

It’s a beautiful place...but looks mostly empty. There’s lots of infrastructure, restaurants and a marina full of boats, there must be people...somewhere. Where is everyone? 🤷🏽

no longer have any desire to travel to El Gouna specifically due to the fact that Camel is butchered and served in the restaurant there.
Please do not. Tourist here who loves the beautiful camel.

Stand on the shore nothing to see in the water.
Grateful that my first visit to Egypt was to Sharm elSheik, much much more character, stand at water edge and see beautiful coloured coral fish and the only camel is very well cared for by owner allowing very short brief ride on camel and for photograph purposes only. I return to Sharm elSheik in a heartbeat.

90% of the Egyptians can't afford to spend a day here, even if you go cheap between hotel and food for a day you'll spend between $50 and $100, which is between 10 and 20% of the average monthly salary in the country.

@@MichelePonte is my meaning about it ;-) appartments from 300k a good boat round about 400k with 2 sleeping rooms and a little kitchen is more affortable as perhaps in Dubai...btw El Guouna started that trend to build this Lagoon 1989 where Dubai was a dessert
