Yes , U R completely true about the egyptians having more than one home or apartment.....I am egyptian and I can tell U that ... many egyptians most of them are even from the middle calss not the high class have at least two apartments or homes ...my dad has a home in our viliage and apartment in hurghada city...my uncle has two homes and one apartment and there are families even have more...so U can see alot all over all of egypt alot of empty homes and that is mainly because the culture here that the parents try to build homes and apartments for their kids and also as a real estate investment....have fun in egypt ☺️☺️
Yeah, I've been noticing that a lot. Every family has empty houses. And I know a family that lives during the week in one house and during the weekend in another house :)

It would be neat to grow up near a world famous historical site like the pyramids or the coliseum. I can understand how if you grow up next to them they might not seem that special. These places are touchstones and remind us of glorious pasts and nations changes of fortune. They focus our minds beyond our own present existence. Enjoyed the scenic video as well as the interview talking about the city next to the pyramids.
