The absolute best thing about this is dichotomy between their want to go home but their unwillingness to lose.

What solidifies this even more is that even when they tried to end it by letting Gavin win, it ended up changing.
Realized now how much work it must have taken the editor to change perspectives at each play. Congrats editor for the effort

Have a look at hat films uno gameplay where they just each capture their footage, then cut everyone’s cards out and put them facing the camera on one persons perspective so you can see all the cards. Work smarter not harder haha

Gavin wanting to go to 500 Points with those Rules, and then complaining about being stuck at work, is the most Gavin Free-thing ever.
As much as I love this, I realize there can never be a sequel. This biggest part is, if they do another one, they will schedule adequate time for it. The reason it's so funny is because of the stress of knowing they want to just go home, but too stubborn to let someone else win. Another one won't have the same mind-breaking stress that led to the hilarity of this video.
I feel like a wager could help that. Like person who wins gets to go home, and just have the other ah members on standby....until every person has played. Going till it's a 1 on 1. Though that might be too long lol
I mean honestly it would still be entertainng because I've played 7s and 0s with freinds and both of them never want to play uno again after, it is hilarious.

oh I did, I watched the whole video, that's 3 hours of the only life I have spent watching UNO and it was completely worth it (prob do it again at some point)

The incredible thing about this is that it has a film arc! Four friends enter a game of uno and the only way to get out is to win. They don't realise that early on, one of the group has sealed their fate (Gavin chose the points). A fifth person comes by, and becomes a human sacrifice to save one of the group (Ryan leaving and Jack taking his place). There's in fighting, because they all believe that only the winner will win (their freedom but that's getting a little too abstract). Eventually, the purest of the group realises that in order for them to escape, they must work together and sacrifice themselves to help one win, hopefully ensuring their freedom. But this was the key, and that group member ends up freeing them all in a 'Harry Potter only those who want it but don't want to use it may have it' twist. Jeremy is the unlikely saviour of the group. It's a damn horror film and I'm living

I'd say that Ryan is like the antagonist of the film, as he has the chance to end it all over an hour earlier. But doesn't... leaving the group to rot while he leaves them behind.
I'd actually also add that Jeremy also becomes an unnecessary antagonist because then he forces the game to keep going out of a grudge that apparently got born out of nowhere in the movie, due to lazy writing on his part and trying to push an even more dramatic time in the movie.
To this day I still come back and watch this from time to time

RT stated that they would delete any content he was featured previously in, however it would be hard since of how ingrained in the community he was, thus some were left up. I imagine it's because he left halfway through that Uno the movie is still around thankfully

Ignoring the seconds, and leaving room for error, with the credits, that's 10 hours and 56 minutes of footage, that their poor editor had to go through, splicing the different view points.

No wonder their reply to counting every card was a "go fuck yourself" from the poor editor
Remember that long ass round where Gavin near the end told the editor to go back and count how many cards were drawn total that game and editor put “no” followed by “go fuck yourself” and he also put in that jazz music for a few seconds
It’s not too bad with mutli-screen editing. But the little things like the smooth jazz was a nice addition.

It's not really that bad in Adobe Premiere, the program has multi-camera editing so you can basically edit the shots as it plays back in real time. The real pain would be adding the super of their name in the corner for every take... that could be a bit tedious. I think I know how they would probably do it to make it a streamlined process, but it would still be super boring. Even so, its probably all edited in well under a full work day.

-It's over an hour long
-It has characters
-Has various arcs
-Has a defined genre (Drama/Comedy)
-It was made by professional cinematographers (Gavin, Geoff...)
-It's monetized
-And it even has ratings.
All it needs now it's some awards.
