bond hits a bystander causing life long injury to the victim which then causes the family of the victim to lose their financial capacity, bond spends half his net worth on fighting the case, gets 10 years, govt denies any association. bond gets malaria in jail and loses the use of his wnking hand.

@PAbcentral its not only about the action in skyfall, its the whole thing. action-wise the mission impossible movies (especially 6) are much crazier and more fun, but i prefer skyfall more as a whole. skyfall is the best bond ever in my opinion. the way it slowly builds up after the opening scene, the soundtrack, the amazing shots, the camera-movements, the filters, the fact that james fucking bond shows lack of skills due to taking time off and drinking a lot (love how they made him vulnerable), the fact that they return back to bonds childhood place (may it be nonsense or not, but the landscapes and the story behind bond were so fucking interesting), javier bardem is the best craig villain, bond shows emotion after M dies, and so on.. casino royale is a close second, spectre was probably an 8 out of 10 (amazing camerawork) and i don't even want to talk about quantum of shit. skyfall is so good because you get to know the worlds best known english agent on an emotional and vulnerable level. this movie really is a 10 out of 10 for me, and i am usually not the biggest james bond fan.
@PAbcentral black panther is NOWHERE as good as endgame and infinity war, i really think the movie got hyped so much because of some kind of anti-racism movement and to really show that black actors can have huge movies aswell (which i don't mind, racism is shit).
It is funny how this chase starts at Grand Bazaar (in Istanbul) and after she cuts them off at the bridge they end up in Adana ( 900kms away from Istanbul) Now THAT what I call a chase. They can jump in space/time :D

That perfectly flat paved path is actually there on the rooftop of the grand bazaar in Istanbul. That is not a set-up :)

@@j.criquette3334 The tiles has not historical value and were very old and in bad condition even before this Bond movie. The roof was renovated in 2019. Turkish government is very strict regarding historical places and would most likely never let anyone destroy turkish history - not even James Bond
@@TheOttomanSlap Then consider me impressed with the roofing job. It looked very historic. I guess the movie company paid for another roof and everyone was happy.
3:04 3:07 the roof parts that they're driving on seem a bit off-color, so they might be new. plus, i presume they had to make sure the tiles would hold the bikes and the actors so i guess the production crew prepared these sections for the shots.

I live in Istanbul and after these scenes I realized that I was not actually living. In fact, we did not know that we were in the desert and in Arabia. 🤣
Istanbul is located in Europe but they think it’s in the middle of Saudi Arabia. 🤣🤣 Turkey has a different terrain and weather than to other middle eastern countries. We are in a different latitude. Yet they portray us with a weird yellow filter. We don’t have a single desert in Turkey. 😂

They probably filmed this scene in the oldest part of Istanbul with vehicles from 90s to reduce the production cost. I am Turkish and I hardly believed that this is Istanbul until seeing the Grand Bazaar. I'd still say Skyfall has been the best JB movie.
Nah man, they put them intentionally to make us look like mediocre middle eastern country.
Not to reduce the production cost but to make Istanbul look in a certain way. A few cars is not gonna make a dent in the budget of a James Bond movie. Especially for a multi million dollar stunt scene like this one :)

It's difficult to find good photos/videos of the rooftops of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, as they feature in the story, so this is much appreciated! I haven't seen this movie recently and had forgotten about this fantastic chase scene 😁👍
Well, I wouldn't rely on what is shown here, especially since they went through a major renovation 5 years ago and look much different now. Better google it.
@@o6ina thanks, that part of the story is set a couple of years ago so I'll keep that in mind and have made sure to get reliable and up to date sources as I go. I'd only really just started out with the background research for Istanbul when making the original comment so excuse my lack of knowledge on the history of the grand Bazaar, I very much appreciate your own knowledge and advice 😊
That's crazy I'm writing my own espionage/spy film script prepping myself for future film school. This script I want to put in theaters something like James Bond and Mission Impossible. The first scene starts in Istanbul as well as down to the market before you have your credit introduction. Just wanted to type this have a good day man and best of luck to you.

I just realized now .. this is maybe why Bond didnt think Moneypenny was up for field work, she opened fire numerous times directly towards civilians and her driving like a mad man causing accidents, she clearly cant cope with the pressure.. Not to mention she also shot a fellow agent.
Moneypenny couldn’t keep with the pressure because she start panicking and also in the effort of stopping the chase she shot numerous times in public but I also think that bond wouldn’t care is he destroy public property in a chase, at destroying the train he prove that, the difference is that he sees his surroundings and think what to do, instead moneypenny just acts without think to much, that’s how I see it
If you look there was only one time she shot her weapon and there were no civilians where she was actually shooting at him on the bridge. The main idea is yes she isn't quite ready for fieldwork because she shot bond but bond understands and clearly respects her determination.
Ben Mitchell I’m referring to 4:22 , she shot at least three times as the guy was jumping onto the train (there were people right in front of her, she only missed them by a bit).
@@nurmzn7057 if you look at the shot at 4:09 and 4:10 there are two shots where you can see there is a pretty big gap. It's just the perspective that makes it seem they are close when she shoots.

Good thing collateral damages didn't come outta Moneypenny's check cause she would have been broke for a long long time. In one scene she tore up cabs,trucks,merch stands,landmarks,cars AND pritnear killed a top agent. Much as M moves me she was wrong with the call though.

This is my favorite Bond movie to date. But.......we haven't seen No Time to Die yet. Javier Bardem was great in this movie. And the action was non stop.
Coming off of Quantum of Solace's chaotic editing and shaky cam, this film is therapeutic.
