Samuel Metzger, you are a PHENOM! I have never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I am always in awe of your arrangements and organ prowess alike! Thank you for allowing God to use you to inspire others, especially we musicians who sit at your fit to learn (even at a distance). Peace and blessings to you, sir!
There is power in the name of Jesus, Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus I love saying your name.
I infer that that this was a beloved Senior Minister's last Sunday service as Senior Pastor (what else would cause a Presbyterian congregation in the South to applaud during a service (smile)?) -- and it was all beautiful, especially his being joined by his wife for a farewell benediction with exits to a threefold amen and adoration. Very, very well done. Thanks for posting!
Even the Amen at the end is a masterpiece. Little Samuel could take "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and make a masterpiece out of it. Love his style, love his flare. Awesome!
1 All hail the power of Jesus' name! Let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown him Lord of all. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown him Lord of all! 2 O seed of Israel's chosen race now ransomed from the fall, hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him Lord of all. Hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him Lord of all! 3 Let every tongue and every tribe responsive to his call, to him all majesty ascribe, and crown him Lord of all. To him all majesty ascribe, and crown him Lord of all! 4 Oh, that with all the sacred throng we at his feet may fall! We'll join the everlasting song and crown him Lord of all. We'll join the everlasting song and crown him Lord of all.

Wonderful!
Such a soft spoken, humble man but speaks with loud voice through his music. Just marvelous!

Yep, nice high B in the sopranos! :)
I know. I love his Hymn arrangements.
This is the version I prefer. The one we used in Canada growing up in the Canadian Anglican church choir.God bless you all.
There are many different versions to this song.
They should perform this after the National Anthem at football games. I stood up at my computer for the last verse.
Amen..I also sing in our own church choir😊

Who is the lady that the minister invited to come up and stand beside him towards the end of this hymn? Was she being honored for any specific reason?
The pastor's wife. He was retiring after 22 years as senior minister.
what happend there with the old referent and his family?
was it a say good bye service to one of the referents?
Was the minister that gave the benediction retiring?
Yes
Anyone, please, where exactly is this church? I'd like very much to visit the place someday and attend a Sunday service here. God willing.
