Well my dear,
You have left us with not only a piece of your family in history, but a piece of you.
How beautiful you let us share this moment of love!
You have honored George, and the children today. You have let the rest of the world know who they were, and they are not to be forgotten.
I’ll send a note later, but right now am a bit emotional...
You see on our honeymoon, we went cross country from California to New York, honoring all the military cemeteries we could find.
Stopping at each one.
9002 miles in three months.
You gave us a chance to add this one to our list of beautiful memories, more importantly beautiful, dedicated people who saved our countries from destruction and gave us all a future.
Thank you my dear.
Truly, you are a man among men.
Be well, be proud, and live free!
Joyce and Brian
Matt that is a beautiful thing that you did.
Please don't be sorry for getting upset matt and crying, because it does not make you any less of a man, this proves you have an heart of gold and feel for your family very much, and this is fantastic. George was having fun in his own way and sadly it went wrong and the accident happened. who knows what tomorrow brings, we can only wait till tomorrow. God Bless George, r.i.p.. God Bless you too matt and all your loving family. Thanks for this awesome video of your beloved Uncle. Love you too bro. Respect.
So when i first tuned in to the video i thought, do i want to sit through this video..am I glad i did. That was one of the best Ive seen in ages. What a lovely Great Nephew you are and probably the only family member to visit him in all those years..He was definitly giving you a sign with the thunder and the rain..thank you for that Matt xx
Those coins of your grandad's was just like a kiss of forgiveness and hugs of reconciliation. We love you Matt! God speed! Never leave an argument never let the sun go down on your anger! You are 100% correct! I know I was more than humbled & elated to take this journey with you to say hello & goodbye to grand uncle George!
Well done Matt, you are one in a million people who care about family values. I can now understand where you got your demeanour from and your reckless abandonment xx. Bless you and your family. Much love from Australia
Oh Matt, that was beautiful, and never be sorry for showing your feelings to us, your Beeper Family.
❤
Matt it is so amazing to me that you made this journey. This video made me cry, smile and for a moment see you as the little boy you pictured. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this community through it's ups and downs and that you have been able to get to go on this trip. It reminds me of when I was around 14 (far older now) and I went on a school trip to France, I had always been told about my "Uncle Tommy" and on this trip I was finally able to find his grave & his name on the wall of honour from the war. Tommy was only 17 when he was to face the war he was in. These wonderful journeys that we go on for members of our family to honour them, remember them, are some of the most important we can do, as well as share the stories on ward never to be forgotten. So much love x
I love the fact that you remember your late uncle so good that you never er forget
What a beautiful way to commemorate his memory & bring closure to the family. To leave flowers for the children is very special. Maybe they will see this video & reach out. You can be very proud of yourself for bringing this piece of history to the forefront. RIP George
This was a lovely but emotional tribute to your great Uncle and the children who sadly lost their lives and hearing more about your family history.
I wish we could live in peace too, free from war and hate.
It's always nice to walk down memory lane Matt thank you for shareing a bit of your family history.
oh Matt, when you turned the camera and had tears just know we all did too....thank you so much for taking us on this beautiful emotional journey of yours and your family. may Georges legacy live on in yourself, your children and generations to come....George a true hero! my great grandads legacy was, he was the first soldier on the front line to have used super glue to hold his organs in after falling on a field mine to save his team, he survived and his story is in the imperial war museum in London....lest we forget!
Thank you for taking us with you on your journey
A lovely tribute
George would be so proud of you 💙
You did a lovely thing for your family something that will last forever.❤️
This is so beautiful, brave Matty. Your family should be so proud of you. What an honor..more people like you in this world, and we'd be a better people ❤
Thank you, Matt for the touching and beautiful tribute to your family. You are so very lucky. I had a family of 9 but everybody scattered. No one wanted to know each other. I never knew my grandparents but to see the love that you have. For your family I'm adopting you your life. It's such a beautiful one. You're so lucky. God bless you and your family Mat.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That what you did there Matt was beautiful. I cried with you.
I think this was the best video you have done i am an emotional wreck thank you for letting us into your family and bless your uncle and the 3 children ❤
This was so special, I'm so happy you finally made it! Thank you for taking us along.
Matt, I give you cyber standing ovation 👏👏👏👏👏. That was magnificent, your best upload ever. The introduction was sublime, the story brilliantly told and the emotion palpable. You should be very very proud of yourself. Fantastic work ❤
Love you Matt. The most touching thing I've seen. Bless you and your family
I was crying alongside you. I agree with all you said at the end of the video, as I’ve said the same over last 45 years. I never knew hugs/cuddles or heard the words I love you, so made sure my children knew how precious and loved they were . No way they were going through life wondering! They also are loving parents and my son said he has copied my parenting. I am blessed.
I believe those were signs from George to let you know that he was aware of what you have done and his thanks xx. Bless you Matt xx
All I can say is it was beautifully done.
Glad you found your Grand Uncle grave.... May he and those that is buried at Kranji War Memorial... Be at peace...
Matt, we all love you. Thank you for sharing such an emotional journey which brought me to tears. I've lost all my birth family, Mum, Dad, two sisters and a brother and I always told them I loved them. I still tell my children and granddaughter the same. May your great uncle and grandad be together again and are resting in peace and may the three little children be playing in Heaven. 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤❤💐💐
No need to apologize Matt mate, we all knew it was going to be emotional. Thank you for taking us along on this trip of rememberance. We feel like we know your Grandads brother now.. We love you too!!
Looking forward to going on this emotional journey with you
I've watched you for a few years now Matt, you and your Little Pal Andy and i have gotta say that was so Truly Very Touching, you had me welling up and in Tears and your Uncle will be so very proud of you as will those little kid's that lost their lives Tragically, such an honourable thing to do laying those flowers and as for war and the lives lost it's so criminal but i think that is from the powers that be, their is so much Evil amongst us and sadly that will never change, but all we can do is make it as good as we can and Good will always beat evil, you are such an Honourable Guy Matt and i've been wiping away so many tears through this Vlog and the Drone Coverage was beautiful R.I.P Sergeant G.E.Howson , Pamela, Philip and Michael 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
Tears.. this was very special seeing you do this for your Uncle & your family. I do think he was watching. My Grandads younger brother was killed when HMS Glorious was torpedoed. He was 19. I went to the war memorial in Plymouth to pay my respects. I found his name immediately although I had no idea where it was. It was the first name I looked at. I will never forget that. It’s so important to love & remember our loved ones. Thank you for sharing this with us Matt. ❤
This has broken my heart what happened & to see you so emotional. ❤

Great vlog mate really heart warming, brought tears and memories, I have an uncle who lost his life in the war but is buried in Egypt our family have always wanted to visit his grave but that won’t happen now as most of his brothers and sisters have died now, I never knew him but this has brought his memory back my brother knows his story more than me and often says mom wanted to go and look for her brother’s grave if I was able I’d look into it but had a stroke in2021 and I’m now in a wheelchair and it’s difficult to even find transport just to go to shops, take care Matt a lovely tribute from you for your family ❤

Matt, I think this is the best video you’ve ever done! Really enjoyed watching this, nothing means more than family. Drone footage was excellent, the whole story of your grandfather and George, the way you laid it all out for us, impeccable! 👍
Thank you xx
Matt thankyou for taking us on such a sensitive and personal journey with you. In 1992 I also went to Singapore on behalf of my Step Father who's best mate - after the fall of Singapore to the Japanese - was being held at Changi POW Camp . I promised him I would try to find out what happened to him and where he was buried on Singapore. It was such an emotional charged task and journey, one which I was desperate to fulfil on my Step Dad's behalf the promise made to his best mate's Widow and children who were still alive.
Sadly there would be no grave to lay flowers upon or stand beside head bowed silent tears flowing. He was taken from Changi POW camp by his Japanese captors with hundreds of other allied soldiers and personnel to work and die a terrible death on the Burma Railway. It was a horrible message to pass on and an overwhelming emotional experience.I sincerely empathise with Matts emotional roller coaster ride ❤
This was a Dear sweet video. Thank you. You have a Wonderful family❤

STUNNING!!! Matt, I’m so glad you finished with your third piece of advice 🙏 Do what you love - and, give your all when doing it!! Selfishly, I don’t want a cautious Matt. I want the fearless Matt whom continuously says “I shouldn’t” but does it anyway. The Matt that takes risks, the passionate Matt, and the Matt that inspires me to be curious! I’m so glad you got to do this, - and I’m glad you were able to leave with a renewed vigour for your passion. Cheers, Matt!! ⭐️👌
I am still crying! Thanks to your granddad & your grand uncle for their service! Your journey was amazing stepping in the same footsteps as your grand uncle as if you were being lead down the direct path to say your families goodbyes to George!
You are a true Gentleman & all around good person 💗🥰, you're truly blessed, keep up the great work. A dear fan of yours, Benji,NYC. 💕👍💯😁💙💯

Thank you for this video .
War is pointless . But all should be remembered for generations to come .
Done worry mate had something in my eye when I saw the war graves
❤️❤️ I knew it would mean a lot to certain people! Things are easily forgotten when they are not right under our noses so it’s our job to highlight them
@FINDERSBEEPERS And I personally salute your grandfather for his service and sacrifices he made .
I have mates with lost limbs which is a constant reminder of the trauma.
When men where men
