    A few things I didn’t mention!
    1. Your first 3 selections need to be for your first parkn, you can't split the parks.
    2. Once you use your first reservation, the other parks will open up if you have that option.
    3. You can modify your reservations like you could on genie+

Completely agree, deluxe resort guests should get the added perk of free Disney Genie +/lightning lanes. I believe Universal gives that perk to their top tier resort guests, or at least they did in the past.

They still do! You get it for the day you check in, the days you're staying there, and checkout day. So you can get a lot of express usage! And there express STARTS at $160/person. Disney could EASILY provide their top resort guests with free lightning lane during their stay.

It's great they had your umbrella after all that time! Springs looked empty when you were walking around. I was reading about these changes, not sure how I feel about it until we try them. It doesn't look like they are doing anyone a favor by these changes, with the exception of being allowed to plan ahead a bit. They should make it simple and just offer what Universal does for fast access. Your explanation of the tiers and what is in each one, was great - very helpful. Be well.

It wasn't very busy, but it had just rained a little before we went, and then obviously while we were there haha. So that may have been why?? I appreciate it, it's kind of confusing to understand for most people that read it once, so I tried to really emphasize it. I do think this system will be better than Genie+, giving you 3 rides ahead of time to "guarantee" yourself a ride on is great. Not being able to pick multiple tier 1's is kind of rough, though. And obviously the biggest change being able to do it ahead of time is a great perk. It's kind of close to Fastpass+ but now it's paid for, and a little worse lol.

Have you heard what they are going to do if you have a park hopper?? I know it just came out with the news but i was curious. The example Disney gave says 1 theme park but for example, we will be there during the change and one of the days we are doing Hollywood studios and magic kingdom at night, so are they saying that i would have to buy the multi pass for 4 people for Hollywood studios and then Magic kingdom?? At least with Genie plus i am able to do multi park buy and it works well with planning. Also i feel like its such a money grab to charge for multi pass and then charge to get on guardians or the other big ticket items. depending on prices you are looking upwards of 200 plus extra per day, not taking into account if you are park hopping......Thanks for another great informative video!!!

Hey! Great question, I just pinned a comment answering some of this! So I believe you will purchase a multi park lightning lane multi pass (lots of words lol). Or you would do a single park multi pass lightning lane. But from what I see, your first 3 reservations (your prior visit reservations) all have to do be at your first park, then once you scan in to your first reservation, your park hopping availability reservations should open. And you can again choose any tier, you won't be locked once you scan in to your first reservation. Hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the video 😊

LOL we went to Disney Springs and lasted 30 min; it was so hot and I was done (we were there from June 5th - 16th). We did stop at Pepe by Jose Andres and I was pleasantly surprised. I know it's not a huge menu but the sandwich I had was delicious. I wanted to go to Gideon's but I'll have to try again; my friend did get me the peanut butter cookie (I don't know, I think I need to try again because it was good but I was expecting something out of this world the way people talk about their cookies. Not to mention my trip wasn't going as planned so I could have been a little stressed. I'll give them another chance). The cake looks good; I love frosting too lol (I need ice cream when I eat cake though lol)!
Soooo I wish (unpopular opinion) Disney would come out with express passes like every other park. They can do a 5, 10, or unlimited attraction pass. Give deluxe guest free express like Universal because they're paying a pretty penny to stay on property. Limit how many express passes are sold per day to keep express from being longer than standby. Will it be pricey? I'm sure but it would be cheaper than the $5000 to $8000 VIP tour lol. Now that was my wish but I do like the changes they have made to the current system; at least you can book in advance somewhat.

It's been brutally hot this summer haha. More so than the past few years for sure. When it comes to Pepe, I've seen it a lot but I've never tried it. I'm glad you liked it, we may need to now try it! The cookie and cake were SOOOO good, it literally may be my favorite one! I would suggest having the regular chocolate chip cookie. It's definitely their best cookie, the other ones can be hit or miss, so I don't blame you. Ice cream with cake is always great, sometimes I don't mind just cake (but I feel like I need milk then HAHA).
I think if they're charging for a system, then I'm ok with doing a Universal type Express, where it's much more, but much easier to deal with. I think their current system confuses too many people, and there's a lot of stipulations and they clearly don't like it since they're changing it up over and over. I still wish the old fastpass system that was free came back, I feel like it was such a nice treat for guests to have that freedom to guarantee (for the most part) that they get to do the 3 attractions at the park they're visiting. Now, you're not always guaranteed to ride things because of lines, breakdowns etc. Just crazy they've changed this system already a few times in just a few years. I feel like the old Fastpass was fine for MANY years, but oh well. We can dream lol. Don't even get me started on the VIP tours HAHA! I'd love to do one, but that price is CRAZY!

@@Dillon.Thomas LOL I looked into the VIP tour about a year ago and I was like....I don't even have that many guests to make this price work lol. Off season and if I could find 8 other people who wanted to join maybe so lol. But I agree with you, I don't think they know which way they want the pass to go. Like it was only a matter a time before they snatched the free fastpasses but they really aren't thinking this over very well.

@@lashaysmith7783 I wonder if there's online groups that try and get a full group together to get the cheaper price for everyone haha. I agree, though, I don't know if I'd have enough people to do that LOL. I really wonder how many more iterations of genie, fastpass and lightning lane we will get before we land on something final. I just wonder what they want the end goal to be with it, you know?

    • @lashaysmith7783
      @lashaysmith7783 Před měsícem +1

@@Dillon.Thomas I feel like they're trying so hard not to implement an express system like Universal, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, etc. that they're confusing themselves. I'm not sure they know what their end goal is but I'm guessing they'll probably never return to the regular fastpass. I just want to go and not have to be on my phone. Right now the only way I feel that's possible is to do the after hours events but then I don't get the day time experiences. It's a win lose situation lol.

    • @Dillon.Thomas

@lashaysmith7783 that's true, they don't want to copy the others, and I'm sure they don't want to look "pricey" for their system, but truly it seems like they don't even know what they want right now lol. I guess we will see what changes they make next year again, since I'm sure they will before EPIC opens ha.
