Toofan was like a toddler compared to sarpatta, the cinematography, the artworks, the sound work, - (both live and instrumental) character arc was phenomenal. The movie happens around a time of certain political issues(emergency rule) , which happened in real, and the director uses the real political parties which existed at that time, and their impact during that age, its actually 70s,around that period.U guys will definitely love this film. 👍Its not a commercial movie. As martin scorsese says - it's cinema❤️

Sarpatta was fantastic, an epic sprawling story with well sketched characters and phenomenal performances. The direction is just gorgeous in every way, completely absorbed from beginning to end.

I think nobody could've done justice for music in this movie. If the BGM and the music has been messed up the whole would've been a bad experience. Santhosh Narayanan definitely created a master piece. By far one of the best Indian movie ever made. Proud to be a Thamizhan. #Captainforever

The movie is great! PA Ranjith(the directors) best work to date. - above the movie Madras which imo is his best until this movie.. The film is layered really well. I do not expect you to follow the local subtle Tamil state politics references or the caste/class references. But the movie is layered in a way that if somebody sees it just like a boxing movie, they should still like the movie. This channel has a history of calling many Tamil classics as crap(ahem ahem. Karnan, vada chennai). So fingers crossed. Rick - please focus while watching it.. There are lots of characters! Almost Gangs of Wasseypurish from that standpoint…
