@@Gwenx it might have been the Sisters aligned Knight project. I was interested in both but realizing I can just home brew an awesome fusion of whatever I’m into- or Jenn is into apparently- really opened the flood gates.
Having a Sylvaneth army that transitions from seasons is a really cool idea actually.
I love the colours of autumn, the reds, yellows and oranges. These are amazing.
What a lovely idea - I gotta make a quartet of seasonal characters now! While there are plenty of products for glistening effect, mixing a bit of true metallic paint with the color can sell the idea if you don't have access to effect glues and whatnot.
This is a great idea and not just for individual models, for an army, like a wardrobe. It means your units feel cohesive without all being a single set of colours. More interesting armies without chaos.
Green definitely fits in autumn schemes. Purple is another amazing help.
I haven't done any Sylvaneth, but my Spiderfang Gloomspite Gitz are arctic themed, with lots of blues and whites, but the spiders are painted as animated statues, with glowing green on the joints, eyes, and fangs, and also on the goblins' eyes for cohesion, and then icy bases with a ton of snow effects. Very fun

I often use animals to inspire color choices. There are some really crazy colored animals out there. Of course inspiration comes in many forms.

That painting blended so well into autumn (yes I am an Ozzy) that in the final part of the vid the camoflauge was impressive

I painted a arch revenant but head swapped with a horned skull, painted the soul and weapons red and orange

I love seeing this kind of video. It took a lot of practice and figuring out painting techniques and stuff to learn to do autumn theme for my sylvaneth army. Didn’t help I was going with white trees in a birch tree style. But has been cool for the contrast, and like this for just how it reaffirms my colour theory

Belthanos convinced me to finally get into AoS, he's currently on his way to me and I'm still hunting for a scheme I like. The cherry blossom motif is very popular but I might still do it, it does look amazing.
The two most popular "alternate" themes for Sylvaneth are Cherry Blossom and Forest Fire. Either would look fantastic.
Then, there are more traditional seasonal paintschemes.
My Guard army is autumn. Not in a literal seasonal sense but the colour choices are terracotta, green, splashes of purple. Varies a lot - Krieg uniforms are green whereas Cadian are terracotta with grey camo - but the season makes it come together. It doesn’t have to mean they’re literally in autumn thematically.

Looks amazing, I've got a kill team for Gellerpox coming in the mail soon and I gotta figure out my color scheme. I'm thinking Blue and Purple shadows and some washes at certain spots to simulate diseased skin and bruises? I don't know yet
Hey, been watching you guys since the beginning and I love the work that you guys do, could I perhaps give a bit of C&C on the video editing side, the way that the sentences have been cut make it feel like the narrations are really rushed. Again love what you guys do and looking forward to more. 😊

I'm painting my sylvaneth like the root from remnant from the ashes/ remnant 2. They're perfect for this scheme, the first game even has an insect queen character that has beetle pets

That's so cool. I've tried to find anyone else doing this for some tips and tricks but can't find anything. I'm not doing loads of crazy conversions cos I'm not skilled enough yet but really enjoying making them. I am struggling getting the colours and the glow quite right for the crystals and internal energy... Got any tips? Also need help with any tips?

The Sylvaneth were what convinced me to stop collecting 40k and start collecting AoS. The models are just that good.
My Sylvaneth are, unfortunately for them, from Aqshy and are currently on fire.

How weird is it to do northern seasons like fall and winter while you're in spring going into summer? Also, never knew Sylvaneth were a thing. I only know of Sylvari from Guild Wars
We honestly didn't even think about it, Australia doesn't have these evocative seasons at least where we live, so they're more conceptual.
@@TabletopTime Weird. I didn't realize Australia was close enough to the equator to have very light seasons... At least I think that's the main contributor. We have a strong fall but a very mild winter where I'm located. Always interesting to hear about other places

It's a shame, but those are not wood elves, it's a completely different race, I don't understand how Age of Sigmar changed the races so much, dwarfs that are no longer dwarfs, no elf is like before, wood elf, dark elf and high elves, thank god, they have released old world and we can play what is truly the essence of warhammer
