I'm curious to why you did all of this with ½ ton axles instead of doing a kingpin 60 and corporate axle swap? They would have been alot stronger especially when it comes to off roading and burnouts.

Guessing you don’t know what a 14 bolt rear diff is? Highly doubt he breaks it at all. If you think he’s going off-road at all in this thing then you have zero common sense tbh.
@@zachedwards5570 a 14 bolt is a corporate but there is several different versions. If he did an SAS with a kingpin 60 (8lug) he would want the back to match. Easiest route would be to use a corporate full float 10.5 (8lug)
I'm sure we have both watched people on CZcams destroy 6 figure trucks. It's not a sense thing. People like to party and when the "new" wears off is when that happens. He literally has videos of him off roading this truck.

I got a 95 chevy w 49 1/2 with about 24 inches of lift and I'm running 5:13s with a Dana 44 rear end and I can honestly say it pulls them better than I expected
Don’t get the junk aftermarket door pins. Go to the junk yard and get the best ones you can find. Rear doors on a suburban are the best. Don’t hammer them in either, use a bolt and socket press setup
I panicked when it pulled out of the shop with the rear end squatted. You were just turning it around to do the rear. Nice work brother

I would powder coat a little more in the rear of the truck to make it more like the front

Looks good. It's definitely not cheaper to straight axle swap one. My duramax is getting built now and I will have around $16k in it without having anything powdercoated. That also doesn't include axles rebuilt and regeared or wheels and tires
I love the way it turned out. I’ve got an 03 1500 ram I’ve been thinking about sas swapping but was also pitching the giant ifs lift because no body does it

It look higher in the front , Im doing some changes on my pick up, but I prefer to be lower in the front wheels to see the front road clear . This days is good to put cameras to see if a small human is on the blind spot .That is a monster pick up, good to travel to lakes and hills and pic nic areas .👍

I'm surprised the 15" lift didn't come with A pinion correction for the rear. Although it is a pavement pounder/mall crawler it should be fine, but you would have thought.
you said "i hope the size of this truck comes across on camera" , sadly it never does, i had a k5 on 24" of lift and 53's, and it just never looked as big in pics as it did in person, regardless... i like your truck, pretty good lookin'! boggers always make a truck look nice!

I have the same rear end (14 bolt semi float) in my 84 k5 i need to change my gear ratio too make sure to make a video when you do yours may help me out

That's starting to look slick good looking chevy. My uncle has a 85 K5 blazer that has a 16inch lift with 44s gumbo monster mudders, has 1ton axels. With original 350 small block, but that has been turned into a crate motor. 3 speed with granny low gear
