I think you could get rid of the joystick that appears, the gesture controls by itself seem to be enough. And this kind of UI does look kind of clunky on mobile.
Eventually I'd like to remove it entirely (or make it less visible?). Right now it's still a bit clunky, the player needs to "push" a bit in a certain direction to make Chip (the robot) move. I used to have a fixed joystick in a corner, but that wasn't ideal either. Still looking for solutions ;) I don't really play a lot of mobile games, but it may be useful to see how other games deal with the joystick movement
Is the objective just to collect cookies? If that's the case perhaps changing the environment would make things more interesting and challenging. Stage hazards like tiles that damage/kill the player, walls that create a maze-like arena, basically anything to invite critical thinking on the player's part, would drastically improve player engagement.

@@spacecats3649 I have, now I've added a visible d-pad that you use for the movement. Since it's grid based, it works quite well (way better than before for sure!)
