Board games bring together so many people around the globe. Thank you so much for making a docu series around CGE’s story ❤🎲
Love how Vlaada said that he wouldn't like to play Mage Knight lol
This game is a masterpiece. I'm looking forward to the next episodes!
Je zážitek, sledovat jak vzniklo CGE a vidět lidi, s čím do toho šli a kam je to celé zavedlo. ❤ Respekt a obdiv. 😎
This is a perfect example of some creative friends coming together putting their enthusiasm into a project that continues to delight me. Thank you so much for putting this documentary online, I highly appreciate having the opportunity to watch and listen and notice the nerdy smirky glow in your eyes when you talk about how it all started out. Lovely. Just lovely!
awwww thank you so so much for this comment 🤗
Wow! Just wow Eleni! You did a great job! And others from CGE too of course. Very nice video 👏 Really looking forward to the next episode.
Profound respect for this company and these people after watching the whole series...
Wow thank you so much ☺️ 🫶
Amazing history!! Congratulation CGE, Vlaada and the all the partners!! Thanks for yours wonderful board games!! I`m Brazilian board gamer colector and entusiast difusor. Since 80 decade I love board games and play with my friends and family!!
Really enjoyed seeing the faces and the history around this one! Great production too :)
Look forward to the Tash-Kalar episode, so everyone can marvel at the story of that one, and then hopefully build up enough enthusiasm to another expansion deck or four! I know Vlaada's got some amazing ideas tucked away there, bring them to us!!
So nice to know a little bit more now about history of one of the favourite board game publisher. Would love to see next episodes!
Fantastic story, well told. Nice to see the Rare eyes on the lead eng’s copy.
TtA remains my favourite board game and still play the digital implementation almost every single day. And I still suck at it.
I love the story on how such a great publisher started!!! My respect and admiration to all the people involved in this project until now! Cheers from a board game enthusiast from Costa Rica that is now actually living in Prague!!
Wow! Thank you so much 🫶
Excellent story. Excellent production. Thank you.
Premieres in 20 hours? But i want it now!
a labor of love! all czech games I bought feels different, now i undestand a little more why i got that feeling!
Ι watched this with smiling throughout! What a story and absolutely lovely narration❤ thank you Vlaada and all the amazing people at CGE for the countless hours of fun you provide with your work!
Wow, even if I have copy of first edition of Through the Ages and I am playing games in Czech Rep. more then 20 years, I never heard history of CBG. What i shame on me. Thanks for this nostalgic memories and mood.
Excellent!
So happy to watch this. All this history for our great hobby. Thanks for taking the effort in making this happen.
Well done!
Looking forward to see Mage Knight episode. :D
Mage Knight episode is not in the schedule as far as this game was designed by Vlaada, but it's not in CGE portfolio. :(
Indeed 😢
Vlaada's games were what made me love boardgaming. My first real game was Agricola, and then I found Through the Ages and Dungeon Lords. They are still among my most favourite games. Dungeon Petz and Space Alert are also fantastic. Most days I play a game or two of Through the Ages on my phone.
Epic, subscribed
A great piece! Well done all!
CGE’s content on this channel has absolute been crushing it. I’m enjoying every upload. Keep up the great work. Love seeing this.
Awesome video! After committing so much time and effort into Through the Ages and other Czech Games... games, I had the chance to learn the whole story behind it! Like, how it begun, how it came to life, plus how in initially worked. Thanks for this, looking forward to the next ones!
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️🙏
Through the Ages has been my top 1 game of all time ever since I had the first play of it. Hundreds of different games played after that first play, it's still my favorite games up to this day. Thank you guys for existing. Greetings from Brazil.
Let's go 😁😁
great docu
Сквозь века - моя любимая настольная игра, и, конечно, ее придумал прекрасный человек, не могло быть иначе. Как хорошо, что в нашем мире есть такие чудесные люди как Влаад и его команда, спасибо им, что родились 🙂
Skvělé!!!
Well put together. Nice to relive some of those moments :) I should come to say hello!
Thanks that was really interesting
Arena was one of my very first board games. It has an amazing combat system. Still waiting for some expansions with new heroes though ;-). Please bring this masterpiece back to life! :-)
Thanks for this great video! Minor nitpick: Around 13:44, you‘re showing „Sid Meier’s Civilization: The Board Game“ from FFG (2010), but I think Vlaada was talking about the one from EGG (2002).
Thank you guys for all of your commitment to this. You've created something very special together. (PS Through the Ages is my favourite game!) 💚
Holy cow! I would pay for a set of those prototype cards for Dungeon Lords! That art is joyful.
...patiently waiting for Ep. 2
Yaaay! Then tune in Tuesday the 8th of August ;)
One of my favorite publishers out there! Vlaada is an incredible designer as well
What struck me after hearing the END of this story was: how weird! TTA was in a way CGE's signature game, known by gamers everywhere, yet in the end, the original was NOT a CGE publication. And although it inspired CGE to begin publishing games, for 5 years they were doing so in a tiny office, presumably without the trappings of success.
If you were making a Hollywood film about the company (say like they did Facebook) this is not how you would expect things to go. It would be an overnight success, as everyone acknowledged TTA's brilliance, and CGE would be catipulted to fame. I think the real story would make a great alternative film. About people who really cared about games, not necessarily about fame and fortune.
thank you so much for this doc.
Wow! Such a great first episode. Loved it and can’t wait to se the whole documentary ❤️
Fascinating! I have a couple of your games [thanks to Eleni's videos!] and I enjoy them. And great work, Eleni, producing the videos. I think my favorite effect was the route from Brno transforming into the way to Mordor.
Fantastic video. All credits to whoever edited this together, brilliant job.
Paul!! It was me (Eleni) and thank you so much for the kind words and of course for being part of it - I don’t only mean the interview but also being part of CGE’s story!
Fantastic! Thank you for producing this! I can’t wait for the next episode
Love the docu very much! Looking forward to the next episode!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. You are an expiration for us which are starting your same path. ❤
🍿🍿
Parádní počin a už se nemůžu dočkat dalšího dílu
@30:05 The TtA box with the Googly Eyes X-D
liked the documentary, would the other capters talk more about the thinking process or development process on how a game was made?
yes :) we don't go into much depth as some episodes feature more than one game, but in certain games, we showcase what was the inspiration or the vision for them, the different prototype versions, as well as issues during the development process, the production and how they were tackled.
So cool ❤
Vlaada pls come back!
Nice job
Nice story.
Fantastic. When's Part 2?
in a few minutes! 😻
Why isn't Vlaada as active in BG designs nowadays?
Are you only doing CGE games or will you do other Vlaada games as well?
For this series we're focusing on games published by CGE, but there's other Vlaada's games mentioned as well from time to time ;)
We love Vlaada! We need new game like Mage Knight pls Vlaada help us!! Mage Knight 2
🤩
This documentary it's so interesting! I hope you'll make several episodes of it. I just really loved the story behind Gce, and everything started. I have truly appreciated all the effort that was put into it. Such an inspirational story. :)

Já deskovky nehrají ale respekt a uznání že nás kvalitní české firmy ukazují v dobrém ve světě
❤ diky👍🏼
I'd buy this game if it had a solo mode
It got an awesome digital version !
@@TheNathonn I don't want to look at a screen. That's the point of board games for me is to get away from the screens
The point of board games is to play with others, solo board games is an oxymoron.
@@AnaIvanovic4ever Yes it is nice to play with other people. When people don't play it's better than nothing! Whatever oxymoron means keep it to yourself and enjoy the way you want to play board games
@@jerryf196 Maybe read a dictionary when you are alone and have no one to play with? Why should I keep my opinions to myself? Solo board games are stupid, dedicated solo games I have nothing against and just ignore, but I am very tired of loners demanding solo versions of real games.
