They use the pension argument in Ireland too but they had no problem bailing out the world's banks before. €45.7bn would have helped the pension shortfall due to low birthrates until we could address that. That amounts to 100 grand for every pensioner in Ireland. We should have let it all crash and started over.

As a citizen of a former English colony that rose up and rebelled for our freedom, I actually stand with the English people. There's only two outcomes for a foreign colony. They either dissolve, integrating with the native culture or returning to where they came from. Or they violently rebel. The US rebelled against a monarch on another continent. But the foreign enclaves in England won't be rebelling against their countries of origin. It'll be them against the native population, trying to gain power over new territories.
I honestly think that English and American culture actually share quite a few foundational aspects with each other. American culture grew out of the English culture of the time, and still carries a lot of the same values which the English themselves eventually forgot about. One of which, that's unfortunately being suppressed by nefarious actors in both cultures, is patriotism. It's time for the English to remember what it means to be English, and for Americans to refuse to let go of their cultural legacy.

This was a great speech and an important moment.
The natural, instinctive love of England has always been there amongst the indigenous people. However, Carl has done so much reading, work and debating since he first became known that he now gives a really strong but also balanced tone to the effort.

A woman rang LBC radio a few weeks back, trying to explain to the young, left wing presenter, how street signage in an area of east London wasn't in English and how, as an English woman wearing western clothes, she was accosted by a Muslim male, threatening her.
The presenter simply denied this happened, saying he travelled that area and saw no such thing. He basically shut her down, trying to make her sound stupid.

As a veteran, every time I went back to the U.S., I could see the change every 6 to 8 months at a time for 22 yeats..EVERY time I went home from Europe or the country they told us to occupy. Family, friends, and countrymen/women that have NEVER been out of the U.S. ever or for a certain amount of time, are absolutely blind and dumbfounded when asked what the hell is happening in this county, town, state. For the past 30 years, I too have witnessed the nation, my home state, turn into a desolate environment of sadness, emptiness, and loss, and boarded up homes and businesses and closed factories expeditiously after Clinton, Bush Jr., and Hussein Obama.
