You are so sweet and caring. I love that you say you want us to be happy and enjoy the sun and nature in the summer. I spend a lot of time hiding from the sun because I don't want my skin to age. I travelled in warm countries exposing my face and body to the sun without taking enough precautions in the past which wasn't good at all. But recently I have felt an urge to be in the sun and to absorb the warmth and nourishing sun rays. I think I'm finding the balance between being in the sun and seeking the shade and always putting on sunscreen of course. Enjoy your holiday! Looking forward to your next video. Aloha
I guess all the years I worked indoors in a climate controlled but humid environment with sunscreen on my face every day was a good thing. I’ll be 58 in August and I get compliments on my skin all the time 😊
Thank you for another informative video Dr. Kappel. I am a student and working in a stuffy lab all summer. I’m sweating under my goggle and essentially sweating everywhere because of my lab coat and other PPE. I tend to develop the little red veins on my cheeks from my goggles, which sucks. I have a propensity towards melasma, dry, thin skin and freckles in addition to being an older student. I literally freckle if I stick my hand in the oven without an oven mitt, and have always been sensitive to heat + sun. That said, I really try and be diligent about using my MDAiRE products + tretinoin and following the protocols you suggest for skin care. But the summer lab conditions and PPE I wear raise my overall internal temperature and are of concern because I am a little older and prone to all the things you talk about regularly. I literally feel like I’m just sweating the products off my face right after I apply them. Any advice that you can offer in next weeks video regarding stuffy summer laboratory conditions and protecting my skin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your informative and educational videos. They are very much appreciated. Loving that you keep it nerdy 😉. Sending you and your family positive vibes for an awesome summer 💕💖💕!
PS. Cute blue nails - so fun!
This is hands down the best looking doctor for helping woman with staying young, look at her then look at the men who make you woman look unnatural. I can't wait till i get these deals done
Glamping Barbie in nature! 💚💕
Thank you Stefani for another great video and information. Glad you're enjoying Kauai with your family 😊
I love your channel and the non-sponsored content!!!
Last one is the best tip. Thank you so much for sharing 'you' with us! All the best and all the love 🕊 🍀 ♥
Thanks Stef! enjoy the rest of your vacation See you soon xx
Thank you!!!
You are awesome! Thank you for explaining the why about skin changes and telling us what to do about it. And thank you for being a good role model for women by proving that you can be beautiful, take time to invest in your appearance and be a successful, brilliant woman and mom. Enjoy your vacay!
I keep some fingerless gloves, knuckle to elbow sleeve thingies, scarf style earloop masks that go to the chest, and wide headbands for my forehead in the car. They're good for days I'm going in and out of buildings. Driving the only exposure days.
Where are you buying them and from which country?
great info, love kauai! and it's good for our skin to be there?! awesome. if you use a humidifer at home while you sleep, which one do you use? love the idea of adding this!
I really enjoy your video! You're so good. Thanks for teaching us 🥰
Hi Dr. Kappel! Thank you for all of this information. I’ve heard that some of the aging appearance has to do with shifting of the bone structure in the face. Can non surgical treatments help with keeping a youthful bone structure or is it mostly genetic for you? What would you recommend most for collagen banking for a 25 year old with a darker skin tone? Also do you recommend any cosmetic dermatologist in NYC? Love you and your page 💖🩵💖
Super video, Dr kappel. Hope you have a wonderful holiday! Blessings to you. I could really do with some help on how to use Tretinoin in the summer months. I feel like I am locked away in the house and not enjoying life going outside with friends and family.
Hi Dr Stefani.
Thanks for the knowledge you've shared again.
Great infirmation!
Can you please advise what treatment you recommend for fading age spots /pigmentayion during winter months?
And also what do you think of fotona treatment for addressing sagging skin esp around jowl area?
Or can you refer me to a relevant previous video ?
Thanks.
Absolutely love your channel
Thank you so very very much for all your videos
You look so relaxed on vacation! Well deserved. Question. When using VBeam for overall skin rejuvenation and collagen building, do you use the same settings as you would for redness and blood vessels? Thank you always. You, your videos, and your skin care products are amazing ❤️
Thank you!! We needed that little break. Glad you could tell I was relaxed 😌😌
No the settings and number of passes are a little different. The handpiece used it usually different too. But whenever I do a treatment for redness,I usually just combine the settings to rejuvenate and stimulate collagen as well :)
@@DrStefaniKappel thank you so much and yes I could tell you were relaxed 🥰
Hello Dr. Kappel.. I’m new to your channel and I’m really enjoying your fun and informative videos. I recently moved into high elevation & low humidity area.. my skin has changed drastically.. Super dry and always red from rosacea … can you recommend an affordable humidifier that could help me? Thank you for another great video. Enjoy your time in Hawaii ❤.
Thank you for reminding us it's okay to feel the sun on our face and to swim and surf and enjoy life. I have seen some docs + derms recommend full face masks if you're outside in the summer and swimming in sun body suits...honestly, that is no way to live.
Great tips!! Doctor what is your favorite laser to do as a yearly treatment?
Probably a Fraxel if I had to chose only one
Are you going to make a MDaire sunscreen?
Thanks doc. Great video.
Dr AB’s on CZcams says we don’t need a moisturiser, would love your opinion. Great video.
Loved this video!
Thank you!!!
Dr. Kappel, thank you for your continuous effort to educate all of us. You are a real gem! Could you please comment on Fotona 4D laser, if possible...
I live in Brazil, so this really help me 🥰 thank you
Due to my busy fall/winter schedule I get my laser treatments in the summer. Besides my spf what after care products are a must after a non ablative laser such as a faxel ? Love the nail color by the way 💙
It’s not uncommon to have laser resurfacing in the Summer as many patients have more downtime ☀️ Usually the aftercare will include gentle products that still decrease the recovery time in half. Serums that are devoid of actives yet include pro healing activity like arnica, healing peptides and natural moisturization factors. For my patients I recommend NMF intense or Alastin Nectar but your provider may recommend a specific one just for you. Hope this helps and happy Summer!
Please do a Hawaiian vacation video ❤ I’m going in September for the first time and would love to find out what you loved best!
Will applying a serum (that inhibits melanin production) right before hot yoga help? Thank you for putting out great content
Thank you for the great advice, Dr. Kappel ❤ Can you please make a skincare video for teenagers.
Hey doc what do you think of the intense pulsed light wrinkle reducing instrument which is very trendy theses days for boosting collagen ? Is it dangerous or does it work ?
Last comment is the best - enjoy summer! I totally agree! I am a beach girl into boating and ocean swimming. Happiness is the best thing for skin
What do you think of astaxanthin for skin moisture and elasticity?
I'd love to know what Hawaiin Island you are on. It's gorgeous.
thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to next week's video
Can you go over the best body sunscreens, especially if you’re doing an outdoor workout in the summer?
What would you recommend for protection against ultralong UVA rays that American sunscreens do not cover - I know there is a Laroche per se, one from Europe that does, but it is a chemical sunscreen
Are heavy creams ok in the summer months if we live in a dry, warm /hot climate rather than a humid , hot climate?
Do you have the study that you reder to in mistake 7 about how sunlight in the eyes can trigger malasma? I’m very interested in this!
*Science, facts and happiness!* 💗💗
Doctor Ive been an avid 1% tretinoin user since my 40s will be 60 in December. My skin is bomb lol I also use alto and their moisturizer. I only use your eye serum but thinking of using your products. What should I use from your line, while still using my 1% tretinoin at night. Thank you ❤❤❤
Hi there! I’d definitely try the Vitamin C-FK. Alto doesn’t contain an L-Ascorbic acid Vit C (it’s mainly THD) I think you’ll appreciate a noticeable difference :$ Try it and let me know. Great job on using the Tret! I’m sure your skin looks amazing!!
What about having Pico? I have an appointment for Thursday should I cancel? 🤔
I’m hoping you can help with my question! I have been watching all your content and realized you look much younger now than you did a few years ago, and I was wondering what you think helped? Were there specific things you’ve changed to look younger in the last four years, or do you think it’s just the result of everything you’ve been doing all along? I am wildly impressed with your results. Thank you!! ❤
Amazing info!!! Doctor what are your thoughts on daxxify? What filler or neurotoxins do you recommend for neck lines ? ❤❤❤
I love Daxxify as we are getting amazing results with it and it really lasts a long time. Usually 2-3 month s longer than Botox. For the neck, Skinvive is incredible at improving texture and smoothing neck wrinkles. If you combine it with a neuromodulator or laser it’s even better. But alone Skinvive for the neck is 👌🏼
Doctor- enjoy. Thoughts on Softwave for neck rejuvenation? Please :)
So saunas & exercise both cause vasodialation, right? But I thought these are good for us. Please clarify.
I saw a derm youtube video where he said blood coming to the skin is a good thing for collagen production so anything like a sauna or massage is goos. He also said ice rolling and cold showers help too. Is this bogus? I have red cheeks and have noticed this summer the past 2 weeks that they are cherry red all the time and more broken capillaries. I walk outside daily in a hat and spf but still have them!
Please talk about Nutrakos collagen drink and it's benefit for types 4, 7, and 17? And Elastin?
Do you have a link for the internal sunscreen supplement?❤
I’m not sponsored so I try not to include too many links but here ya go ☀️💛

Is it ok to use tretinoin during summer ? And led ?
Love your content Stefani! I want to go to America just to get you to improve my 43 year old skin. 😱 Enjoy Hawaii 🏄♀️ 🌊 🌞
Awww thank you!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🤗🤗
great info
Hi doctor what if you got to much sun even though you applied . What product would you use post sunburn to repair your skin.
I would double up on hydration (internally and externally) Drink plenty of water and apply hydrating actives that will restore your barrier. The MDAiRE NMF Intense cream would help recovery or if you wanted drug store brand you could look for creams with ceremides and colloidal oatmeal in it. You could also take a colloidal oatmeal bath at tepid water temperature. I hope this helps :)
Ok thank you Dr. Kappel!!! Appreciate you so much and your videos are amazing!
Do u have a resource for B1vitamin recommendation? I know this is a little off-topic, but you are a physician so I feel like I can ask you.
Yes I prefer the methylated vitamin B forms that are sublingual. It’s better bioavailability and better efficacy. I personally take one vit b12 shot a month as well. Hope this helps

Cymbiotika is a great supplement company too:

Thank you so much. I can’t believe that you answered so quickly thank you❤
I’m coming to see you asap.
If I take Nitric Oxide, a vasodilator, will that worsen melasma?
Oh shoot it might. Although NO increases blood flow to the skin, too much blood flow can over excite melanocytes to produce more melanin. If your melasma prone just be aware of that or maybe include an active that will dampen the melanin synthesis pathway.
@@DrStefaniKappel thank you. I have your Vitamin C and RXR Retinol and love them!!
You are fabulous
You too!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🤗🤗
If excess heat is bad for your skin, then are saunas bad for your skin?
Can chemical peels melt fat?
Doctor is your vitamin c like skinbetter alto?
No because Alto does not contain L-Ascorbic acid. Try the MDAiRE Vit C-FK and see the difference within days of use. The vehicle delivery systems are advanced-you’ll see
Hello Doctor, what is your opinion on Renuvion for 1) skin tightening (wand under skin) and 2) resurfacing for acne scars (on top of skin)
I think Renivion is excellent. It’s difficult to find a provider who offers it because the set up and equipment needed to perform the procedure is quite elaborate
@@DrStefaniKappel Would it work for acne scars? Would you ever consider offering it? Thanks again!! 💯
@xKarenWalkerx It wouldn’t be my recommendation for cancer scars are lasers give such great results that nothing compares to that for acne scarring. But for skin tightening it’s a really great treatment. I do not offer it in my office because my office is set up for non-surgical treatments mainly and with Renuvion, it requires sedation and an OR set up, etc. I was thinking of filming a video with one of my plastic surgeon colleagues who does it in his office and he could share his insights if you guys think that would be helpful?
@@DrStefaniKappel that would be super helpful!! And thank you again for your response! Enjoy your vacation!! 👏🏼🧜🏻♂️✊
@@DrStefaniKappelyes that would be helpful 🎉😊
❤❤❤
Hi Dr Kappel. Have you ever met your doppelgänger? You have a beautiful double, Shannon Bream. If you do not know who she is google her. She was our Ms Florida years ago. Enjoy your vacation.

You look 18. I love eating your vids ❤️
Thank you!! I love making them for you 💛
An other thing I painfully learned: Don’t increase the strength of Tretinoin during summer 🥲
