It's actionally relaxing. Not sure if that makes sense. (Not sure if "actionally" is a real word either...)

I was wondering, what trombone do you play on? And what what type of valve does it have?

Here I played on a Yamaha YSL-682B. It's a special trombone, originally designed for Ian Bousfield when he played with the LSO in the Barbican Hall. Really great instrument, I got mine second hand and prefer it over my Bach 42A. Some people say it's similar to a xeno (with the xeno being better, especially for playing softer). I'm not sure about the valve, but I believe it was only used on a few models and doesn't get used any more.

Manuel Nägeli Sounds like a great horn! I personally like my Bach 42AG but Yamaha are also phenomenal horns

In most amateur orchestras around here (Bern, Switzerland), you just sign up for the next project. It depends of course if they need somebody on your instruments (there are often too many flutes for example, but not enough trombones).
In some orchestras (the university orchestra of Bern, for example) you need to do a short audition so they can see if you're good enough for the orchestra. Most orchestras are private, but there are exceptions.
