i didnt mention it, but if anybody is curious...retail was €150.00 with another 15 for shipping. for those of you around here that comes out to about $195.
Nice pickup and great review! I'm a little jealous after the closer look. I like the earth tones and the rugged touches with the laces and burlap material on the toebox and sides. And you are correct about what I previously mentioned regarding sizing on this silhouette. For me, a half size up gives me a pointer finger width in the tip of the toes and allows me to close the split tongue fully and comfortably. And after finally breaking in my first pair of GL-IIIs, I can safely say this approach still works great for my feet slightly on the wider side. Thanks for the shout out (again) as it's much appreciated!
having them close neatly is definitely a factor for me. honestly, id probably go up if it didnt. every now and then im just really picky about things. and of course, thanks for the info...gotta try and cater to all when possible. and yeah, these after looking over them more and more during the post-review photo shoot i am pretty into them.
Thank you for the follow up. Breaking in on going up 1/2 size. Important to know when considering moving up. These sound like they donot stretch out too much. Thanx
Finally someone put some respect on the Gel Lyte III 's. The Gel lyte III model is the most under rated sneaker of all top. Top 5 shoe MODEL of all time.
@@shoesupsleevesdown in a sense of versatility with the design. There has been so many collabs with the Gel Lyte 3 model. There are also hundreds of different colors. Been around for decades and they still releasing fire colors of the shoe. There are very few sneakers that can say the same. The Air Max 1 is one of those shoes also. You can't name many. Maybe you didn't realize the history , versatility and amount of different colors of the Gel Lyte 3. Gel Lyte 3 is a top 5 sneaker of all time.
@@JaeBee1718 i only consider my personal feelings when talking about lists like that. even from a standpoint of most influential or even just for sustained relevance (either of which would be more objective) id still have to think about it and probably still disagree. but to each their own.
@@shoesupsleevesdown oh yeah for sure. Popularity aside was how I justified it. Great name for a channel. Love that it's not just about Jordans & Yeezy.
@@JaeBee1718 much appreciated. there's enough of that everywhere else. i do my share (which is small), but its far from the focal point that's for sure.
i wanted these and backed out of the raffle . not because i didn't want them just have to slow it down. glad to see you picked them up. they look so good on feet .great review ✊🙏
i dont remember how that's relevant, but im always ready to talk about those bands of that era. i still listen to yellowcard and rise against. and have good memories of seeing both multiple times over the years.
@@shoesupsleevesdown dang idk why CZcams deleted my original reply, but sorry for keep you hanging for weeks 😅 i meant to say "you asked about our favorite bands in the beginning of the video"
I really wanted a pair of these ever since you posted this vid. They're unique, and i love shoes thats made with textile materials like burlap or canvas. But the price kept me from getting them. i finally got a pair on ebay for $60! They came today. They're just nice as i expected. But the split tongue section is weird though. Its like they're made of see through plastic bags with trash inside 😅
Hey great review I like the vibe of it too. I'm the same with one of my favourite bands the smashing pumpkins I won't listen to them for weeks then I get this huge urge to listen mainly to th earlier albums like Gish or Siamese , occasionally Mellon collie if I have the stamina , but yeah I get what your saying in regards to that. Nice work mate👍
i forgot about that little bit of rambling in the beginning. the smashing pumpkins came along at a time when i didnt really have access to a lot of music. so, like many other bands in that era, i ended up missing out on them. for whatever reason i never went back later to look into them. i looked up that mellon collie album and definitely see why you mentioned stamina. a lot of my favorites are under 40 minutes so that's the kind of thing that would probably only happen during a long drive or maybe while im cleaning.
Hey do you think going up a full size on this pair will work for those that has a wide foot? considering some part of the shoe is thicker than the rest. I like having the tongue close perfectly
Haha do I like these? Do I not? Not quite sure. I think I prefer the concepts collab that released alongside at the same time pretty much a bit more though.

Thanks for the review. I just saw them online for 85 its an easy cop for me!!
ASICS has been having a great year so far. No complaints here. Nice grab
right on. but to be fair, i didnt start paying attention until december so maybe they've been good for a while.

nothing wrong with that. these boxes add up fast. i shouldve just stuck with wrestling figures...
Real talk but I still pulled the trigger but definitely need to slow it down.
Those are fly, nice touch with the laces.
yeah, man. i definitely came around to them. i thought they were fine but sometimes it just takes a few looks to really get into something.
Waiting for this review. Thanks man you the best !!
im ok, but ive certainly seen better. thanks for watching though.
speaking of alt rock bands from the early 2000s, i used to listen to yellowcard and rise against. great review btw

The way they play with wierd materials to make gorgeous shoes
that was before my time so im just gonna have to believe you on that.

Shoes like gel lytes should exist forever
agreed.
Where were you able to cop them from? Everywhere seemed to have them then pulled them from the website. Dope pickup bro
from a swap meet in compton.

Favourite band is the beetles, maybe I was born in the wrong era?😂
really? i know they're popular, but i just wouldnt expect anybody to say that in modern times.

i think these are one you need to see up close. but i get it.
