Collection videos are awesome. It's always fun to see what other's have collected even if it's not necessarily what's on my shelf. I appreciate the enthusiasm for a hobby that has an infinite number of possibilities.
Nice seeing all these vintage cars and accessories. I still have a vintage JRX-T from back then, I heard him mention that he had raced in Massachusetts, it’s where I cut my teeth in racing oval back in 89-90.
awesome collection and cool guy for showing us around. too many great RCs to choose but i have to say i really like the still in box farm king @40:15 lol
Oh that xray touring car. I remember those back when they had rc races at a local hobby shop near me that I used to frequent. There’s actually a full kit on eBay for sale. Stock wheels and original unpainted body in box and all. And I had that Tamiya ford lightning before too. It’s a TL01 chassis. Simple and works great for what it is. I actually won a race at my LHS touring races with a TL01 with trf shocks and lightened drive shaft. Entered it just to mess around and won against everyone using Yokomos and hpi’s. I was just lucky and knew how the car drove but was still surprised and I still laugh my butt off till this day about it. The best was when everyone was curious what chassis I was running and I took off my body (lancer evolution 4) and the look on their faces was the greatest 😂.
What motor were you using in the TL01? There was someone who tried to race a TT-01 in a 12T modified class when I used to race rc cars about 15 or so years ago. It couldn't keep up, the chassis was too basic and it bounced thru corners despite having a lot of nice parts thrown at it.
The Tamiya Bruiser is my unicorn. It was on the cover of the first rc car action magazine and it was expensive at the time. I was a kid and the frog was my first rc car. I raced competitively with an RC 10 for many years. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
For the area of the rx540 motors. One of the first upgrade motors was called MABUCHI RS-540SD BLACK MOTOR SPRINT. I still have just the box, sticker price was $33.00 and it was just a faster version of the silver can type. It's a black can with red end cap, fixed springs. Those technituned were race motors. Your going to go make me look at my old stuff
Very cool collection and shelf system. Where can I buy a shelf system like that? Can you tell me the name of those shelves so I can look them up? Thanks.
Man thoughts rc are in such good condition wow that is a sweet collection love them all some of the stories and nostalgia of them when he said a bout one of the cars from the 80 i was like a bout 3 or 4 at the time that was super impressive love the Porsche cars and loved the black one no details but what a fantastic collection he has super sweet collection bro 🤘
Im glade i seen this video remind me of when i was younger a bout 16 standing in beatties model shop loved that place any way i remember standing there looking at all the cars thinking i could never a ford one of these thing 😂😂 i loved wrc from the 90s and the MICHELIN Pilot Cosworth was my favourite now i stand here and think back to that day and its a bit like it but iv only got a bout 36 37 rc but i look at how fare iv come and think a bout the time i yoused to say id never be able to have thes now look 🤣🤣 im gonna be 44 this year mad i know ps MSM love the channel i think your name is awesome just as im a bit of a santa cruz fan funny as iv not long built a santa cruz blur xc carbon one so ya makes it more awesome keep up the awesome content all the best mj 🤘😊👍
Yes, IKEA. I have the exact same setup :) it’s about 8-9 feet high and mine is set up to hold about 60-65 cars. Love them. Easy to tear down and move too.
The Merc race car at the 4 minute mark is only 114 AUD in Japan. Tamiya is super cheap and parts I got the Candy green Grasshopper for 65 AUD just a few weeks ago at Suoer Rajikon in Tokyo.
Best CZcams video of all time! I need that poster and a Technigold motor. I just restored my original Fox from 1985 or 1986. What number is the Fox on that poster?
Pretty sure he is referring to Bullet rc10/jrx2 kit. It used the RC10 front end and the JRX2 gearbox and drive shafts but had their own trailing arm rear suspension.. But I remember A/L and Rayborn were also doing similar things so I could be wrong. The original JRX2's had really fragile front ends and no option parts for caster blocks like the RC10 had.
Same, still have my old Airtronics radios and receivers from the late 80’s early 90’s when I was a young girl to teenager. All my original Losi cars and trucks and my Predator Lynx LTO pan car. Along with my Custom Works Intimidator, Enforcer, and Dominator.
I spy my second RC car the Tamiya TA-03 RS Porsche 911 Mobil 1 my first was a kyosho Arie Luyendyk target Scotch Indy car I'm literally drooling over the Tamiya F102 kits no wonder I can't find any F102 chassis kits for sale he scooped them all up if your ever looking to sell one let me know lol
Man, I was gifted an original, Tamiya Blackfoot, unassembled, unopened, in the original box, with the original dated receipt... No idea what to do with it..
I've had many R/C cars over the past 40 years. I've never seen anyone so organized about their R/Cs.
Your home is like a R/C museum!
This man has one of the coolest collections I have ever seen! Thank you for sharing with us
Collection videos are awesome. It's always fun to see what other's have collected even if it's not necessarily what's on my shelf. I appreciate the enthusiasm for a hobby that has an infinite number of possibilities.
That’s awesome. Nice collection doug
This was great, Doug reminds me of the Bearded Wonder from Pawn Stars, but for the RC world!
what a collection! I really wish I had kept all my Tamiya mini 4wd cars I raced back in the 90s and put them on a shelf like this.
I have that Taisan Starcard 911 from the beginning. This guys collection is incredible
Nice seeing all these vintage cars and accessories. I still have a vintage JRX-T from back then, I heard him mention that he had raced in Massachusetts, it’s where I cut my teeth in racing oval back in 89-90.
That ford pickup is a TL-01 chassis. Predecessor to the much improved TT-01.
“We used to dream of days like this” as the last line as the video fades was perfect.🔥
amazing how I can stay engrossed from start to finish 👍😎 thanks guys
awesome collection and cool guy for showing us around. too many great RCs to choose but i have to say i really like the still in box farm king @40:15 lol
That black VW van. 🙌🔥🔥🔥WOW
I have few of 1/24 scaled Tamiya plastic models and 2 of 1/10 scaled RC (TT-02 & XV-02). When I see this video, I'm like 😱
So cool of Doug to let you film his collection. BRB, let me see if I can buy something on your site.
Only a portion is listed! More to come!!
Thanks for sharing! That is a awesome collection. Always cool to see some of the first 25 cars.

Very impressive collection, but those shelves... Can we get a link?
I agree, would love a link to those shelves.
Came here to ask about the shelves also. They look like they might be IKEA?
Yes, IKEA. I have the exact same setup :) it’s about 8-9 feet high and mine is set up to hold about 60-65 cars. Love them. Easy to tear down and move too.
I looked at IKEA and they seem to be the IVAR shelf unit
