Everybody's talking about how Qrow is fighting drunk yet nobody seems to notice that Winter is fighting in heels
That's because her little sister has been doing it since Ep 1....
In anime terms being drunk would be far worse a downside than being in heels.
In anime it's a clear distinction, if you're an awkward character girl (like Ruby) fighting in heels would be a comical scene when you cant get a single hit right, if you're a fancy girl (or, in some very specific anime shows, a VERY fancy man) you fight in heels exactly like anyone else fights without them.
I should point out that RWBY isn't an anime andthat it's overall very progressive as far as female character stigmas go, much more progressive than any other show I've seen so far, so idk if it's actually such a patriarchal stigma (I've seen women, including my older sister, who walk around freely in VERY high heels, so maybe that's actually a skill you can achieve. But than again I've never seen any of them fighting in heels...)

Winters - loses awareness (surprised to see her boss), loses temper, escapes 80% of the fight, heavily uses magic.
Qrow - no magic, perfect awareness, calm, controls the fight for the entire time, intentionally infuriates the enemy aware she can't hurt him, all her hits didn't even scratch him suggesting that despite relatively small frame the dude is a fucking tank, and all of that while drunk.
No Weiss, it was not a draw...
Additionally, he didn't use Scythe form once

Winter did get mad at Qrow while Qrow doesn't seems so but using magic and dodging attacks more often is just a fighting style and Qrow's fighting skills doesn't seems to fall while being drunk and both of them didn't really each other.

Can i just say I love how Qrow lives up to his name. Dreary and dull, but perky with his movements and striking with precision. Vic Mignogna nailed the "Dusty old crow" voice perfectly as well.

@@Ezioauditore5678 Also they turned Qrow into a complete wimp, especially that whole arc about that lucky guy (forgot his name) - his death could've been avoided. He and Qrow were both supposed to be elite and experienced Hunters and instead of focusing on the task of bringing down the bad scorpion guy, they just fought with each other, ignoring the imminent threat to both of them AND the threat he posed to all of remnant being in cahoots with dreadlock lady and bonkers to boot. Nah, they fight each other and as a result he dies, which in the first place was just to paint Qrow even more miserable. Idk man scripting sucks. And the stupid Hillary Clinton insert, who also ruins the whole plotline.

That’s my absolute favorite part.
I love how qrow understands the importance of mental battle as well as physical. He ‘made’ her attack first, and didn’t care about how others looked at him when he put his weapon away. He knew it would all make sense in a minute. He’s blunt, and very dryly sarcastic. And only talks when he deems it worthy, instead of letting his anger get the best of him. Complete control.
Like the best martial artists would say.
"Your body can be strong, but if your soul is weak, you already lost".
Which is a fancy way of saying that if you loose your composure, you will likely loose the fight too.

6 Years later and hearing Ruby sound so purely excited is both nostalgic, and incredibly painful to hear. Like a relative who you haven't seen in years only to find out they lost their job, house, and dog. And While they did end up lashing out at you, it was just once and for the most part you really, really, REALLY want to give them a hug.

Qrow’ use of the “I’m going to duel him left-handed” move,
Qrow’s refusing to escalate the fight, and only countering Winter by showing off actual skill when she forced him to (he was holding back the entire time, matching each of her trump cards with minimal effort),
Qrow playing Winter’s political position to show he had more cards to play,
Winter’s continual looks of terror as she instantly is overshadowed by his actual power level,
Weiss smiling at Ruby’s arm bump before resembling she has to be mad,
Qrow’s little eyebrow raise in the elevator,
Qrow’s eternal hate for Atlas…

The fact that he can carry that sword around with one hand, throw it like it weighs nothing and support a fully grown woman on the end of it without showing any sign of strain proves that Qrow is pretty fucking strong.
The Tastiest Onion aura helps, but yeah, they're all crazy strong, crescent rose is a perfect example of that.

Watching this, I realize how much I miss what RWBY was. I don't hate the new seasons, but they feel like they are lacking something compare to this
They are missing Passion.
They're missing Monty's creativity, amazing technique with making fight scenes, and passion for prioritizing story telling and character growth over unnecessary fan service. R.I.P. to the GOAT.
a lot of the fights are missing depth. there’s a lot of times when characters will do certain things, but it has no impact at all. let’s take for example RWBY fighting ACE Ops. there’s a scene where yang uses her gauntlets to boost her speed, but she didn’t actually move in speed at all. most of the weapons don’t even have actual transformations now either. it’s just a blur effect and a new weapon

Coffee he taught the main character everything she knows. He's literally why she's such a badass and why we fell in love with her from the trailer
Qrow even when drunk, has quite an amazing fighting form, he's focused and can deal quite a bit of damage, as someone said in the comments he is very steady and balanced, and was able to hold up winter on this very large blade like it was nothing showing he is very very strong. One thing I definitely noticed, is that he was purposely missing his shots with his shotgun. He definitely was holding back, even with his semblance. I believe if he actually meant to, he would have kicked her ass quickly.

It's actually uncontrollable misfortune. The only time it activated really in this fight was when Winter got caught by Ironwood. Similarly, it activated when Tyrian fell in the house, and when a beam almost fell and knocked out Ruby.

I'm pretty sure he won, and there has been attacks on the people who lied about him.
but because his name got dragged through the mud, he'll unfortunately never have a roll in much anything again. Funimation is easily 90% of the mainstream anime and as long as Sabat is still in charge and he has his favorites like Monica Rial (two ppl who will inevitably be in EVERY anime as a result), Vic will never voice in anime again.

Best part is, Qrow wasn't even trying. He was DRUNK and she still couldn't get an edge on him, whether by actual fighting ability, using dust, or those runes she and her sister seem to like so much.

other thing that should be noted is that his semblance is misfortune. actually, the fact that ironwood came so conveniently might just be the earliest moment of his semblance in action.

Nah, I think Winter wasn't giving her all either. I mean, she was pissed, but given her semblance, which I take is very similar to Weiss', she was not going full summoning turbo there. Besides, Qrow's semblance is missfortune, so, she just had bad luck. Also, if you see the complete fight with Tyrion, a similar sequence of events took place. Up until Ruby interfered with the fight, Qrow's semblance was acting in his favour, but then, him worrying about protecting Ruby got him stung.
Still love how quickly Ruby switches sides, man I miss this show

I remember showing my friend this show and saying season 3 is where it takes a turn and starts to get "dark". Then at 3:11 when Qrow breaks the light pole I said "see told you it gets darker" the look of sheer disappointment and realization of the joke on my friends face is something I'll never forget.

Damien Loxely Mercury and Emerald are cowards, that's why they work for Cinder. They're terrified of Salem, and don't actually want any part of the action fighting for them. Sure, they might be bad guys now, but they might turn good later on.
For some reason i don't see that coming. They are pretty much unredeemable at his point.
It's written as irredeemable and I do not wholly think that they actually are. They've done terrible things, but you can see that they do NOT like Salem or anyone else part of her group save Cinder and while I think that they will not join the good guys, I will at least hope they simply leave her when things start to go bad for Cinder.

Mercury probably ran away because he was afraid Qrow might recognise and attack him. Then when Ozpin questioned him, Qrow would blow Murcury, Emerald and Cinder's cover.

Looking back at this fight after the Qrow VS Tyrian fight, either Qrow was sober when he fought Tyrian, or he was holding back on Winter

I think he was holding back here since other than Winter being angry there was no real threat here while Tyrian is crazy and was ready to kill everyone there
Qrow had been drinking and he had been holding back, the cancelled scythe transformation was him taking off the kid gloves. Even in the Tyrian fight Qrow was beating Tyrian, even though his weapon was unsuitable for the situation. If he hadn't been distracted by RNJR he'd probably had killed Tyrian

To be fair, Cinder was fast enough to keep up with Raven, someone physically matched or at least close to Qrow more than likely. And overall stronger thanks to maiden powers. So even if we did get a fight with them zooming around it still likely would have been in Cinders favor.
Ah, the difference between the OG Monty Oum style and the new style. Personally I like the new style better, the fights are slightly more grounded and we get to see the little differences in the way the characters fight, the Crescent Rose has weight, Yang gets to show off more kickboxing, etc. But the original style didn't have any focus on reality. People zoomed by in the blink of an eye, movements were sharp, and things got ridiculously over the top on a regular basis. A lot of people miss that.
@@longingsoul1 plus Qrow easily dodged it and he’s drunk btw. Qrow was superior than Winter by far plus Qrow and Raven was even until Raven was shown to have maiden powers. So Cinder could’ve easily catched Winter since she can keep up with Raven and honestly Winter wasn’t that nerfed.

@@viran5192 I don't care, he's still a good character, I actually loved what they did with him in Volume 6, with his alcoholism and actually tackling the dark side of addiction, I applaud them for that. At the core, Qrow is a tragic character to me, yes he's badass but his character is what keeps me invested in where they're taking him, same with the rest of RWBY, I love the badass fight scenes but ultimately its the characters that I am invested in.

For me they just gave him more depth as a character rather than being the cool drunk uncle, and they actually tackled his alcoholism and how damaging that can really be.

Hearsay and Twitter aren't the law. As far as things go, Vic Mignogna is innocent and anyone who thinks otherwise has a mental handicap and can't think straight.
Lack of evidence isn’t a sign that it didn’t happen either. That’s problem with these types of allegations and why victims don’t usually come forward about it. It’s because if they do, they’ll be called out as liars because they can’t “prove” it.
People will only accept it as true if they see the assault happen themselves. But assaults, more likely than not, happen behind closed doors, meaning no one but the parties involved will ever know the actual truth.
So, saying that Vic is innocent is just as bad as automatically assuming he is guilty. Fans only know his public persona. Who knows what he’s like when the camera is turned off, or when away from the public eye? Generally speaking, every person’s public and private personas aren’t always the same.
Investigations are being made, and there’s a lot we, as the public, don’t know regarding what’s being divulged about the case. If Twitter/YT/Social Media is the only source you’re basing your verdict on Vic, then you don’t have the whole concrete picture to say for sure whether the guy is innocent or guilty.
Moreso, you can’t say for certain whether “the bad things people are saying about him” are true or false. The fact is: We don’t know because we weren’t there.
@@lazybun3006 all the photos they have used so far so show that vic is "guilty" have been debunked by the person who actually took the photo and there have screenshots of a private facebook group scheming on how to make vic look bad and all because he was in dragon ball z and some people didn't like the movie. of course the screenshots could've been falsified but to have the people who have their photos with vic stolen and had anime news outlets twist the photos into their disgusting narrative only to have it debunked, that's evidence to show all those allegations were most likely false. usually i'd like to put my stance on allegations on hold until more comes out, but all there's more evidence is pointing to these allegations being almost all false than there is substantial evidence to prove him guilty. testamonies are not real evidence as people can lie

If there was word going around would you believe it? If you do, that says a lot about you. Even if those witness testimony were true, why now? All of a sudden this blows up after a movie that made good money? Timing is weird and it left an open window for allegations to come flying through. Think about it.
