  • After putting more than 1,000+ rounds down range with the Wilson Combat XMacro grip module I've had the time to form quite the opinion about it. Honestly it's one of the easiest changes you can make to your XMacro and I have some things to say about it so check out the review!

    Been considering the WC grip module for a while... I've also been considering the Icarus Air grip module. Kinda torn between the two, yet I've also considered getting a standard XMacro grip module and adding the NDZ aluminum Snake Belly XL backstrap. I'm leaning towards something slimmer than my current setup and debating whether or not to make a whole new build or just make a flush fit out of my current setup. I honestly love the Sharp's Bro's grip module especially after adding the VZ grips, but it is significantly wider than the standard grip modules. It started as a SAS and is currently a customized XMacro comped with a ported barrel. With as much as I've already put into it, I'm tempted to leave it as is and begin a new build. If that's what I end up doing, I might even go the route of Shalotec. They're currently offering a 407K for free with a pre-built order (complete upper including the barrel internals, back plate, and sites as well as a complete lower excluding mag release) and 2 mags for the size you order which can be 1 of all 3 options and has the ability to change if you order either of the grip lengths. I believe that's why they call the lower a frame due to it being so modular. I've heard that the grips are designed to perfectly fit your hands more comfortably than any others. Decisions, decisions

      I think Sig has officially surpassed Glock in after market support. There’s so many options now it really can fit any of your needs.

    You said the WC is similar in size to the oem grip with the small oem backstrap?

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  Před měsícem +2

      Yeah, it has a smaller overall size like that. Different shape and grip angle but it’s not a thick grip.

    I don't have the P365 XMacro but I do have 3 P365XLs with the Wilson Combat grips and the tungsten weight kits.
    One is the solid black. The 2nd is laser stippled in OD green and black. The 3rd one is laser stippled in tungsten gray and black but with a P365 XL Spectre Comp slide. All three also have extended mag release buttons and extended slide releases. ♥️♥️♥️

      How do you like the tungsten weight kit?

      @@ShinaniGunz oz = lbs so I think the added 1.5 oz does help with the recoil in such a light weight gun.

    Any issue with the fitment of this setup in the greyman holster? I have this setup and it will not fit my trex arms holster

      Nope this fits great, never had a problem with retention or getting it out during my draw. If you need a new one use code: SHINANI for free shipping.

    First off....good review! thank you....I have a X Macro and carry 15 rounds for less weight and less pressure on magazine. So I am torn on which frame size to purchase. I was thinking "but not sure it will work" of getting the xl frame with my X Macro slide, so it would present smaller and carry less rounds. Do you know if this would work?

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  Před 27 dny +1

      The XL and XMacro both have the same barrel/slide length so it should fit on an XL frame.

    Is the grip also 1” width like OEM?

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It’s really close if it’s not, might be just a hair wider because of how they designed some of grip features but not enough to make you go “dang this is wide”. It just fills your hand better. I can’t find any information on the grip width measurements though which is wild.

    Thanks for the review! Do you have any recommendations to get 15 round mags for this specific grip? Thanks

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  Před měsícem

      I appreciate you checking it out! So the 15 round mags won’t fit you’d have to use the 17 round Xmacro magazines. If you want to use the 15 round mags you can get the WC grip module for the P365 X/XL
