What surpass motor is that ? 2440 4500 kv? Very fast...i am thinking you would have gotten 45mph plus with a good 3s...which for the tiny car is like 120 mph out of a 10th scale imo...if i loke my first one i am getting i may buy another and make it brushless once i know what parts are needed...i think stock its a 15mph car...for me a 25 mph on 2s would be my target...thanks for sharing

Ok I'm building k989 for speed now. Any suggestions you may have for me? Or ideas.
Nice!! They are so small and fiddly. Get metal locking diffs. Try to find mini oil shocks, that would be the only thing I'd do different. The k989 body is bigger and better to hold more stuff under the shell that's for sure 😄
@disciplinerc I ordered 2 different sets of shocks and they do not hold oil.
@@papotv85 I found the same, if you put 1m weight diff oil in or some heavy grease it worked for me a bit 😄

How do you set your gears up mine always grind or something nomatter how i try setting them up its always off and what wheels and tires did you use
Gear mesh is tough to get, but get easier with practice. A bit of paper in between the pinion and spur should be able to pull out without tearing or much resistance, it's a good guide. I'm sure sure where I got those wheels from tbh, I think I searched for 1/28 rubber wheels on Amazon and they were the first ones that popped up 👍
@@disciplinerc yea i had to order two sets of gears as the first they sent portion of money back as i thought i could use but the gears werent even straight so ultimately ate up my diff aswell ordered a new set of both diffs and gears il try the paper trick if these new gears have issues, i think i jus ended up with a bad product of gears ultimately being one wouldnt even fit the rod i had to open the hole slightly but then it cracked 😂
Think you'll need too make or buy some foam tires for this & getting some wide mini-z awd wheels all around.
Getting some like foam handle grips for like those kickbike scooters or getting some unglued mini-z foam tires from kronos or similar. GQ racing seems too sell mini-z awd wheels with foam tires as well.
For gluing foam tires, a thin rubber cement after scuffing up the rims with some sandpaper so it has some proper bite into the wheel should work well.
Wonder how far you'd be able too push something like a carisma gt24t, comes with a 8000 kv motor stock & does 22 - 24 mph on a 2s lipo out of the box just switching too the lipo cutoff mode. (3s is not useable on the carisma gt24 stock electronics unless fire is your goal.)
Yeah foams for sure, been making some notes on how to improve for the next rebuild 😅

I was looking for the links for the wheels, I checked all the comments and I just can't find any.
Could you be so kind and let me know the scale of the wheels? They don't look like 1/28, but they completely change the way the car looks like (altogether with the wheel arches removed).
And I thought the stock motor was too powerful for its stock gears and diffs.
