I love how they have one explosion sound, one glass breaking sound, one electricity sound, that they just constantly reused.
Also nearly every burp sounds the same, and most of Homer’s D’ohs are the same recording.

It gets even better. After the explosions they are both parachuting down and one of them says, "This is what happens when you take money out of defense and put it into healthcare." To which the other soldier says, "Just give it a chance." Then when they landed they started beating the crap out of each other.
That mentos and coke grenade scene is priceless.
Actually that was pop rocks. There's a story about how mixing coke and pop rocks could cause the stomach to explode.

y7eah the ira bombings were referenced a lot here that's not shown overseas that's why we have a famous drink that will get you killed if you dare order it in ireland called the car bomb.

@@milesrowe9228 I’m guessing you’re American so just in case you don’t know the history of it, during the height of the Northern Ireland troubles during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, the IRA (Irish Republican Army) bombed pubs, clubs, shops etc all over England. So the exploding fish and chip shop is a reference to that.
The provisional IRA was involved in the troubles. The Irish Republican Army (aka the older IRA) were the army of the democratically elected government of Ireland during our war of independence. Different kettle of fish.

I remember being a kid when that Pop Rox and carbonated soda would explode rumor was going around. One of my babysitters knew it was completely wrong and ate some Pop Rox and drank a bit of coke to prove it to me. I spent the rest of the night worried he was going to die.

We never hear about them for the rest of the episode, since it shifts to the plot of Homer losing the Venus di Milo gummi, finding it stuck to the pants of the college girl who babysat Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, and the media circus and women's rights protesters accusing Homer of being a sexist pig for groping the college girl.

I thought they were still in France and watching Jerry Lewis movies (at least that's what happened on the episode where Homer uses Lisa to predict football wins). Apparently, their getting arrested at the end of the Bart goes to France episode didn't stick.
