This shows the function of a Sinar Shutter.

From the manual:
- To keep the mechanism free of strain, store or transport the shutter with its blades open and with the shutter speed selection lever set at 8 second.
- Never touch the shutter blades.
- Never lubricate the shutter blades.
- To release the shutter by pressing the button on the cable release, first press that button gently until you reach the pressure point, then continue to press it slowly and all the way.
- When making multiple exposures, always allow an interval of at least 4 seconds between individual exposures, otherwise the shutter may operate inaccurately or even fail to operate properly at all.
