Well done the ladies & gents at TC, and thank you for inviting me to play on the demo. Love you guys xxx
It was our absolute pleasure! Your playing is awesome! Looking forward to the 0% Talk 100% Tones video!
YEAH ME TOO!!
aye dude
what's that strat you're playing??
Looks fantastic!
@@high2407 Dude. It’s my Ibanez AZ224F with a new scratch plate stuck on it! I hated the pearl white one. And some better tuners too… but otherwise all stock. I’m glad you dig. Xx
@@Jamiemccredie1 What model Duesenberg are you playing there ?
This is why I love the me80. Freeze function. Now when I build my actual pedal board I'll pick one of these. I need volume pedal and freeze function. Beautiful.
I see that all of us plethora x5 users are in the starting blocks for a new firmware 😁
Greaaaaaaaaaaaat! I have been thinking about getting the Plus Pedal for months, but it's so expensive, this is just the perfect solution. I have the Flashback, Hall of fame, Spark, Ditto and Viscous Vibe, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of all of them, keep it up guys, you are the best pedal company ever :)
100% - I've been so close to getting one for the Chapman Stick, but this is just was what I was waiting for.
For those of you wanting to make shimmery sounds happen, this pedal with an octaver in the effects loop would do well together
The pitchfork
@@NoCoverCharge yes, the pitchfork does have octave up/down options
Wil this pedla be available for the plethora?
Well dang. This is exactly the freezer I’ve been looking for for ages. On the list it goes!
Pair this with HOF2, FB2, and Ditto = absolute weapon!!
An incredible soundscape I can’t wait to get one! Great work Scotty!
Wey aye! Me pleasure pet… ;)
Will these be on the next Plethora firmware?
Will this beauty be coming to the Plethora X5?
So, I first thought, this looks really cool. Then I thought maybe it wasn't so useful. Now I'm thinking it's even cooler than I first thought.
Can the send/return be used as a stereo through? Seems like an "end of chain effect" that us stereo rig users would want to pass stereo mod or delay through before it hits a reverb.
As a long time user of both the freeze and the plus pedal, congrats. This looks like a great offering that will help more people bring background drones, sustained tones, layers and textures into their playing. 👏🏼
Hey Samuel, would you mind sharing your opinion on the freeze and plus? Which one do you prefer and why?
@@pipapoo the Plus Pedal is better 10% of the time. The ability to go fully wet for swells and to stack chords on top of each other is beautiful and inspiring. You can control how fast it comes in, how fast it leaves, and tone or number of layers very simply. Additionally, the ability to clear layers or half the volume with the pedal pressure is very intuitive. Finally, there’s an FX loop so you can put whatever pedal you want in there to affect the drone note or the layers you’re sustaining. The Freeze can’t do any of that.
But again, the Freeze does what I need it to do 90% of the time, and it has other benefits: 1. Smaller footprint, 2. Much cheaper, 3. Simplicity, fast, slow, latch, blend: that’s it (so you’ll spend more time playing rather than tinkering with your gear). Just note that EHX has replaced the original clicky footswitch with a soft switch so you don’t get any click when laying in your pad. So buy new or be sure to inquire of used sellers if it has that.
Regardless of culture-Tuvan throat singing, aboriginal didgeridoo, Byzantine chant, Scottish bagpipes, Indian ragas-all music began has biphony: a drone and a melody. Thus, I think every guitarist should have a sustainer for practice alone: it’s such a “game changer” (pun intended) to hold chords and find different how your notes and voicings find their place in that harmonic context.
@@samwisegrangee Thanks alot for the extensive answer 🙏🏻
I would love this on my Plethora. You could make some amazing ambient boards or just some very cool sounding guitar soundscapes.
2 HOF's, 2 Flashbacks+Infinite for an outer space vibe.
A HOF, Pipeline, Corona+ Infinite for a kind of neo surf vibe
A Subn Up, Helix, Flanger/Viscous Vibe, Looper+ Infinite for making guitar sound scapes.
It just has to be on there. It would be amazing
Yes yes yes!
Yes Please!
Well they just updated added alter sound go abd can move oedaisxfron left to right abd Vice verse now maybe they will add this if enough plethora users flood them lol
I think will not, as something like this requires lot of dsp. Plethora x5 cant even set 3 reverb and 2 delays lol
I can already see Andy Othling geeking out over this. Great pedal!!!
question: there seems to be something like a warble and modulation always on, can that be turned off or dialed out with the editor to get a flat smooth sustain?
Will this be added to the Plethora?
TC Rocks ! What a Great Demo.. I really gotta check one of these out.. There is so many cool tones to set a Soundscape !!
When will this be featured on the plethora x5?
whatever it is, please but it on plethora, because I just got one for christmas and I love it :)))))))
Would love the crescendo on it
@@adamberg8546 Would be cool, but I don't think they'd do it, because they're only adding pedals from their toneprint series, not from the chunky pedals like the crescendo.
@@Fabian5150 that's right. The Plethora is, effectively, five Tone Print engines. The Crescendo, Cinders etc. are (mostly) analog pedals (and the chunky range are mostly tuned Behringer plastic pedals put in a metal box, with a few component changes to improve the sound, or at least that's what Tore said!)
Can this pedal do auto swell. Like so I don't have to keep my foot on the volume pedal. My feet don't rock back as far as other people's seem to. It hurts.
I am so jealous.
Maybe I should save up for that.
Nice nod to Hamstead there. Best tremolo ever!
Agreed! Everything recorded through a Hamstead Artist 20 + too. You can see it mic’d up in the background x
Oh man, need it! Great playing!
Great demo! Question: under the reverb tab, what does the LoColor do? Can I filter out the low-end from the reverb tail? Is it a high-pass filter basically? Thanks
I think I didn’t quite understand it… is it a freeze pedal (with some more options)?
Basic question. Can this be used simply to provide extra sustain as a compressor without the drawbacks?
Beautiful! Add to the Plethora X5 PLEASE!!!!!!
I just ordered one of these, and it's on its way. Can't wait to start experimenting with it!!
Sounds awesome 👏🏽
Ok, got this pedal and really trying to figure it out. Only a “Quick Start” button instruction sheet available in box and online. Searched for a product manual, nothing. Thought mine was defective until spending way too much time to figure things out. Not everyone one is part of the video culture, guess we are forced to be. Not crazy about this one, may go back.
Will it pick Bass signal as well? Aka suitable for bass guitar..
Love this! Can’t wait to get it
Sounds great!
Please please please add this to the plethora!
I would actually consider buying the Plethora if this was added.
What? TC? Are you really putting this pedal on the next Plethora firmware update? 🤩🤩🤩
Another Request for Plethora update to include this!
🔊Bill Nelson / Bebop Deluxe sounds in a pedal‼️Amazing‼️
Infinite Sample Sustainer > ISS > International Space Station. Not sure if this was intentional but the resulting sounds quite match!
Hey TC if you read this : we BASSISTS need a Toneprint dedicated drive pedal with clean blend. I've tested your Mojo and Dark Matter but they lose quite a bit of low end and have no possibility to mix the clean signal which for a lot of us is a NO GO. Would be great to have a 3in1 overdrive / Distortion /Fuzz with the toggle switch. Thanks!
SweetWater just got it in stock, I got the notice, I made the purchase just now. I’ve been waiting for it here in the US with bated breath. I look forward to getting it in a week or so. Thanks TC for this cool pedal!
What did you think of it?
BEAUTIFUL!!
Please add this pedal to plethora x5 🙏
I want to get rid of my ehx freeze and superego🤣
I love your pedals ❤
Love the purpose of this pedal, but I have some questions:
1. If you’re running the Infinite pedal in an effects loop, should it go before or after a delay pedal?
2. When I hear sustain, I can’t help but think of a sustainer pickup, similar to what comes on a Jackson PC-1. Does the pedal provide that capability to make the note similar to a sustainer pickup?
From the original SFC to this; you guys never fail to conceive and excite👍🏼 Impatiently, seriously awaiting…
EHX designed this years ago. It’s called the Super Ego or the better one Super Ego +..
@@jamiemorgan4146 not quite the same though ....
Updated again (06/2022): what’s up with this, have you pulled it from production, or are you correcting the manufacturing errors that the first batch had? Inquiries via social media were not responded to other than, keep an eye on social media (lame). So far, no good.
Updated questions (04/2022): When is this shipping, and what’s going on with TC?
Excellent, really looking forward to this! Question: has TC equipped this with an adequately robust foot switch? Sure hope so! In the past, I’ve had issues with them failing.
My first thought when watching, also is it a hard or soft touch /click type switch.?
Looks like a weak point to me.
New switch. More like a plunger. No click.
So, a Behringer Superego Plus? I can dig it.
A tc electronic g force rack unit in a tone print pedal would be awesome. All the presets from the g force can be beamed into the slots of the tone print pedal and tweaked with the knobs or through the app🤷🏻♂️🙏!!!
Looks like a fun pedal! 🙌
Love this concept TC! Nicely done
I love TC and Electroharmonix (been using EHX since 1980; TC since 1990s).
This pedal is similar to the EHX FREEZE pedal, but took it 100,000 miles forward.
I’ve been waiting for a pedal like this 👍👍 TC Electronic
You could’ve had the ehx superego plus years ago..
ditto x4 plus 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 i‘ll buy it immediately!!!!
I love TC - Big fan - Have several of their pieces - Butthisvideois 90% talk! If you got it under the hood....Let the machine speak!
🔊Awesome, well done🚀
Woah I love it!
Gonna need to get a hollow-body now. So smooth.
Fabulous!
Wow, amazing!
Received mine today 😃
Anyone knows what the two dip switches inside the pedal do ? I guess one is for the true bypass, what about the other? Thanks in advance !
Love!!!
Cool! Is it coming to the Plethora X5?
Will you be adding the INFINITE SAMPLE SUSTAINER to the Plethora X5?
I can't wait for a mini version of this pedal.
Excellent tutorial but I have a query with that Pedal can you make the sound emitted by the Ebow or the Fernandes Guitars, as does the Guitarist of the band U2 The Edge in the song "With or Without You?
An ebow is better for that effect.
Or a feedbacker type circuit
You could play a nice D chord with shimmer, hold it with this pedal and then play the lead line with ebow over it :)
For a pedal that does that better than the Ebow ( I have both), the DigiTech Freqout is the one.. It’s an Ebow pedal with more and easier to use.
Cool pedal and very, VERY tasty playing. =)
How does it work with an acoustic guitar? I'd love to see/hear some samples.
Is it possible to make a toneprint that just uses the reverb, but no sustain effect?
Looks like a nice EHX Superego / Superego+ killer... but it don't seem to have the thing I like the most from the superego pedals which is the auto freeze mode, unless I missed it. May have to try this one sometime!
I love my superego, but the included reverb and overall size of this pedal are super appealing.
Yeah I'd love to get my mind changed on that if there is auto triggering. But I'm not hopeful since TC always miss an obvious feature or two.
@@Merlincat007 Same.
A day late and a dollar short.. Superego + 👍🏻
Superego has auto triggering.
I used to achieve this same pad with a Trinity set to kill dry and a Ditto. I guess this at least puts it in one pedal
I'm interested by the fact that it has a momentary switch mode. I could make glorious noise with that. Wait...it's has reverb built in, too? I could use this to replace my Arena.
I LOVE TC Electronic!!!
Getting one of these. Anyone know what Gretsch model he is playing here?
I love those david gilmour licks of slot 2 😂
Круто! Пользуюсь педалями ТС, очень нравятся.
I’ve been a musician all my life, but guitarist only two years and change. So far, every pedal I choose other than the Ibanez tube screamer, is tc electronic. I’ve tried the BOSS pedals, I always compare when I shop, and BOSS does the job, but the tc electronic effects have heart.
Ehx or tc or both 🤔? I will go with both sustain pedals
great view, great pedal! but what really caught my eye is that beautiful duesenberg guitar - what model ist that?
Does anyone know the sample rate and bit rate of the recording on this pedal?
Im pretty sure it may be 48khz 24 bit :) no other format acceptable in 2022... but i could be wrong
Love that Gretsch
Can this pedal freeze the sound? Like al freeze the sound? Like a pedal Electro Harmonix FREEZE Sound Retainer...
I didn't understand because this guitarist on the video plays so fast...
Awesome!
Yes Please.
In Canada.
Will this be added to the plethora!?
Really great, but does it also work on Bass?
Yeah but can it do it on a wet Tuesday night at Stoke?
Do the built-in reverb and modulation only apply to the sustained signal, or to the "dry" signal coming through when playing over the sustained sound? Or is it set in the TonePrint app?
From the video it sounds like the external FX loop only applies to the sustained sound, is that right?
You can setup the reverb to be on justthe sustain signal, just the dry signal, or both via the TonePrint App. You can also decide if it's always active or just when you actvate the sustain effect. The external FX LOOP is only active in the sustain signal, for creative sound design ;)
@@paulscott6134 Thank you! I've just watched Phillipe (?) demonstrate that on his CZcams channel, Pedal Platform in his video "TC Electronic INFINITE Sample Sustainer TonePrint Tutorial | Deep Dive"
Beh ringer superego.
Intro sounds like the video bill frisell made showing off the ehx freeze
We need a stereo in/out version for synths. Please.
Or get two of them, and adjust each differently - endless fun ensues.
Yes, stereo would be huge. Pun intended.
@@MikeWh but it seens that it have stereoi n and out
I think synths work in mono too
Yep. It would have been cool if we could have chosen between using the 2nd set of jacks for either Stereo operation or for the FX Loop. But TC never seem to take the next logical step with any pedal, unfortunately. Luckily there is the Hologram Microcosm which freezes in stereo among a million other beautiful things. It is expensive but imo very worth it as the only stereo granular/glitch pedal I know, plus a ton of looping, reverb, filter, delay, and more options, and presets!
Fabulous! A great combination of Freeze/Sustain and various modulation, can't wait. Will you be releasing this for Plethora X5 too?
EHX has one for years
@@phenixreturns
I have the Freeze pedal, this does a fair bit more than the Freeze. It has most of a Hall of Fame reverb in there, plus modulation such as a Through Zero Flanger, it can control the amount of signal sent out to the FX Loop and the amount that comes back from the FX Loop, and it can apply the built in reverb to the Dry signal, even when you don't have a sustained sound.
Also you can stack 1, 2, 3 or infinite samples, and so, if you are stacking three sounds, when you add a fourth, the first sound goes away, so you can do chord triads and keep modulating through them as two notes from the previous chord are held when you add the new one on top.
@@makingmusiconline2309 You can do that kind of stuff with EHX Superego and Superego+ if you want the effects. But the cool thing about the T.C pedal is you can save different variations of it with the toneprint app etc.
I hope they do for the Plethora
@@makingmusiconline2309 u know there's an EHX Superego Plus which is a double upgraded Freeze with a whole Multi-FX section right?
Wow! I'm searching for something like this!
Ready for a new and improved version of the nova delay with midi capabilities and more preset banks
This^
Getting one ASAP!
It’s basically a Freeze with shitloads of extra spice! I’ve had a ehx Freeze on my wish list for a while, but now I’m definatly getting this!!!
TC-fanboy out!
Ok, but also be aware there is the Superego Plus (doubly upgraded Freeze) from EHX which has most of the same features plus some unique ones.
Or Digitech FreqOut? Similar?
@@fritsvanzanten3573 Not really. The Freqout produces feedback once you stop playing.
@@fritsvanzanten3573 No.. I have the Freqout, it’s incredible, but doesn’t do what this or the better EHX Superego Plus does.
very cool is it ok with U-PHORIA UCM204HD ? FOR MY AKAI MPK Mini ?
I think this might be for me!
What a beautiful way yo sell us another Freeze pedal. M gonna try it and see if I can change my Superego
Hmmm... Hooking this up with my MD500 in the loop seems interesting... Put slicer, leslie or tremelo on the sustained note/reverb must have lots of potential
Great idea! Of course (I believe) this is only mono with mono send/return, so you'll lose the stereo leslie ... you *could* split the send though, send it to the MD500 and also back to the return, and then mix the stereo output of the MD500 back in later in your signal flow ....
When can I order it in the Netherlands?
Kind of reminds me of the GameChanger plus pedal.
totally! i have that pedal. it's really nice once you add a pile of fn pedals to the fx loop. would love to do a comparison vid of them
Paul Gilbert will get this pedal now to use with his MojoMojo 😗 I want it too
can't wait for the end of february - to buy it used for 100
Gosh dang it TC, giving me GAS with every new announcement
😄🤣
TC, guys, I'm supposed to be saving money, c'mon. I beg of you.
Don't ever stop.
