Great video Adrian, you love your fish. That wee weight really gets the lure down in to the narrow gaps quickly.
Back from Menorca now, we’ll have to meet up.

I hope you did your scones the proper way when you came over the border!
Things seem to be picking up wrasse wise on the south coast of Cornwall after a slow start.

So when you get hit do you just let the lure stop to allow a second hit and hopefully hook up I’m ready for switch up from LRF for a while Wrasse and mullet watch out lol great video Adrian

Yeh exactly. Unless the rod tip keeps pulling over they are just stunning it. Wait and they will 95% of the time then come back and run with it. If you see the line tightening or the rod tip pulling around hit it. Great idea to have a bright braid to help you see what’s happening.

Good video buddy... BTW, are those Wrasse good eating? In Malaysia, the Wrasse here are pretty good... 😜

Nah not very nice. Some do eat them but they are under a lot of pressure here.

Adrian great video not finished watching it yet. I saw you hooked up with brendan or are looking to in the culm. I fish it from time to time in friends with brendan. Theres another section of the culm to go at to. Back to the wrasse in new to the game (bass fished on lures for many years amongst all the other fishing types a bit like yourself). I hear that wrasse are territorial so my question and thinking is do they move up with the tide away from their holes and places where they live and then return? I guess what I'm trying to guage and spots will be different but I'm my mind low tide would logically seem a better state of tide to target them? Cheers Jon

They do move from their holes as the tide floods to feed over the reefs etc they live on. I have caught them on all states of tide but I see your thinking. I think they feed more aggressively when the tide is flooding though. My mate prefers low tide though using the same logic as yourself.
