    Song: Shankara Srigiri
    Raagam - Hamsanadi
    Taalam: Adi
    Composer: Swathi Tirunal
This beautiful song by Swathi Tirunal portrays Lord Shiva in the form of Sankara. Sankara was the Lord of Srigiri, also known as the Holy Mount Kailash. With ashes covering his body, the three eyed Lord Shiva wears a garland of rudraksha around his neck and dances in the Chitra Sabha (one of the five auspicious stages) along with his Bhuta Ganas and loyal sage, Bhringi. As he dances, the anklets on his feet make the sound “janana janana,” which you can hear within the Jathis (rhythmic syllables) of this song. The last section of this song expresses how Lord Shiva’s intoxicatingly beautiful music and rhythm penetrates his devotees hearts, specifically portraying how Padhumanabha holds Shiva in his heart.
