- Dear readers…
a little letter to myself, on being a reader my whole life and how I struggle on my birthdays.
I would love to hear your favourite reader memories and milestones - even though I am trying to live in the moment a little bit more 😊

👏👏👏 Happy Birthday ❤ May there always be loads of stories on your bookish bucket list!
Happy Birthday‼️(I agree that books make a house a home.)
Thank you 😊 No more guilt over buying books!
This was lovely. Happy Birthday 🎈
Thank you ❤️ Writing a letter to myself worked surprisingly well to not feel so freaked out about turning a year older 😇
This is beautiful ❤
Thank you ❤️
Happy Birthday!🎉🎉 🎂
This seems to be a good time to mention August will be BookTuber appreciation month for me, you can request I read something you want to share or that is meaningful to you. Suggest as many as you'd like I'll choose from those and/or pick a rec I already got from the channel like The Beauty.
Thank you 🥳
I definitely want to recommend a few books that are meaningful to me; I would be really curious to then hear which books make the cut and what you thought of them!
Yippie for The Beauty by Aliya Whitely
but maybe also:
Briefly, A Delicious Life by Nell Stevens
Big Swiss by Jen Beagin
Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi
She Would Be King by Wayétu Moore
Our Wives Under The Sea by Julia Armfield
Beastings by Benjamin Myers
Agatha by Anne Cathrine Bomann
The Deep by Rivers Solomon
(Sorry for any suggestions you may have already read... you read so much, I can't keep track 😃)

No worries "Our Wives UtS" and "The Deep" are the only two of those I've read, The Deep was 5☆ , Our Wives was 4.25☆ I preferred Salt Slow by the author and "Mrs. Calaban" by Rachel Ingles and the movie The Shape of Water told similar stories in a way that was less nebulous and I connected with more. (The Shape of Water book was 1☆ tho)
All of them have been logged in my 2024 document and have an 85% chance of me getting to at some point.

Also from another channels recs I got "Lily Pond" by Hope Ryden which is nature nonfic you would probably like, I'll be reading Journey of the Pink Dolphins by Sy Montgummery bc my library doesn't have Lily pond :/
