  • In this video I show one way to get started learning how to use Carveco software by creating a welcome sign from start to finish. I use 3/4 inch MDF for its easy carve ability. I will show how to create seperate files to enable the use of seperate bits.
    I highly recommend PWNCNC depth stop collars and the link to them is below

      There are many variables involved such as safe z settings and travel speed during rapid moves

    Great video! Question, you did your xy with a vbit in the lower left corner. If you then changed bits with say a tapered ball, would that be a problem since the diameter of the bit was smaller?

    • @Hinkleshop
      @Hinkleshop  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching
      I think I understand your question
      Basically you are wondering if you can use a tapered ball instead of a vee bit
      If that’s the question
      Then yes as long as you choose a v bit tool path strategy it will work
      The walls of the letters will match the taper of the bit

    • @michaelsweet8327
      @michaelsweet8327 Před 5 měsíci

      Thank you so much for the reply. Basically, yes, that answers it.
      My question since getting this longmill using gsender has been if you create a catch all tray, (yes, the one I made from your video) and not have a touchplate, could you start the project with the 1/4” endmill in the lower left corner using the paper method to get your initial xyz.
      Then, when changing to the vbit, just reposition the vbit and get the z from the same place, not the xy, leaving that as originally created with the first 1/4” position. Sorry for the long description, but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a video explaining that.
      Your videos have been super helpful, thank you for that!

      It may be the finish depth setting or the 90 bit used has a larger profile than what Carveco is being told you are using I ran into that with a bit from amana that was larger than the one I programmed

      When you are creating the tool paths and you click to select a tool a drop down should appear on the left with sub drop downs that show the tools available if that is not the case it would appear you have a software issue contact Carveco support and they will get that fixed
