I am in the middle of Vampires of El Norte and I am loving it so far. It gets a lot of flack for not having enough vampires in it so we shall see. And Mexican gothic is so great! I read it a year or so ago and was super into it!

Yes I agree a lot of criticism is for lack of vampires. I personally thought it was a good amount, but I can definitely see where people are coming from. I hope you end up loving it! Both Vampires of El Norte and Mexican Gothic feel very gothic to me, which is why I think I enjoy them so much. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed Mexican gothic as well!
