It takes a braver heart than mine to paint over those checks having seen all the effort that went into painting them in the other video. Though it's a beautiful result in the end.

Thanks 👍 Once you've intentionally painted over areas of your nearly finished minis a few times, it stops being scary :)

    Amazing work!!
I'm really enjoying the new format of showing more of the process. It definitely helps for us who are new to the hobby.

Glad you enjoy it, I'll try to do that for beginner level and introductions to things but some intermediate and advanced content needs to be clipped down or it becomes monotonous.

      @@CamoSpecsOnline that's exactly what I thought and I believe it's a good approach.

I've been trying to find a "niche" that felt right to my desired miniature painting. This looks great! I prefer natural transitions and muted colors, coming from a 1/700 world and LOVE oils.
    Thank you!

Every time I'm about to weather over some fine detail I've painted, I have to take a deep breath. After that first dab with a sponge though, it's easier to paint bravely.

It does take a bit of confidence to know it will come out better.

Did you clearcoat the checkers, details and decals again before you started the weathering? Or did you just start weathering when you finished?

I didn't spray another clear coat over them but you could if you wanted to.
