Hirano has a thick manual book for her game plan to against Chang I-Ching. I hope next time Chang's coach will prepare same type of research for her player.

And the moral of the story is - don't play in the Oympics if you want to win the World cup! After a very close semi, a comprehensive victory for Miu. Of course her next task is to start taking sets off the the likes of Ding and LSW, but it seems churlish to mention them today. She deserves to celebrate the biggest tournament victory by a Japanese woman in over 40 years.

For those posts that ask where Chinese top players were, well next year as it turns out, they were there and Miu beat all THREE to win the Asian title. OK??

Mima Ito did already beat Ding Ning and Miu is able to beat Mima and they are both still fresh Teenagers,
they are still growing to become so much better, even when they got already won mostly everything...
Mima Olympic bronze, Miu World Cup, both a lot of Tour Open Winner and both a lot of youngest ever Records, both got a Guinness World Record and both did hold a very long time World Rank No. 1 and 2 in U21 and in U18 and in U15.

    • @zxcvbnd
      @zxcvbnd Před 7 lety +4

Miu got used to generating power other than borrowing power, which is very important in top matches. The ability of generating power means she could control the match by herself, other than relying on opponents' faults. This ability was highly emphasized in Chinese National Team. Many non-Chinese top players lack this ability. I think Miu could be jp's No.1 after ishikawa kasumi.
As for Ito Mima, I admit she is a good player. But she used a strange pimples out rubber on backhand. When people studied more about the rubber, Ito would not be a threat any more. This is my personal view for now.

They're not in good shape, and their schedules is very tight after Olympics, both have injuries. They just finished China open, China National Contest weeks ago, and Liu's game is clearly under the influence of injury, few days later it'll be the super league, so they need some time to rest.
