- 48-year-old Shane Strong was last known to be at a family gathering for a BBQ on November 17th, 2021. His disappearance has left Ogden PD with little clues as to where he may have gone. Local waterways - Pineview and Causey reservoirs just outside of Ogden, Utah are surrounded by shear wall cliffs along with exposed roadways were of special interest to the case.

Special thanks to Ogden PD, Weber County Sheriff's Office, United States Forest Service and Utah Department of Natural Resources for their support.

Before food was served that evening, Shane had left the gathering in his orange 1977 Chevy Impala (License Plate: L524F) - believed to be heading back home to where he was staying.
Even though Shane’s disappearance remains a mystery, this is not stopping Doug Bishop and Peter Coughlin, from investigating further into this peculiar case.
This video documents AWP’s search for Shane Strong provided with the latest information from local law enforcement.

Shane Strong has been missing since November of 2021, when he was last seen by family members, according to a Friday post on social media by the Ogden Police Department. His vehicle is also missing. The 48-year-old white male drives an orange 1977 Chevrolet Impala, Utah license plate L524F.

That’s my home town heroes in Ogden Utah. This is how LE should behave, and have set a great example to some of those we’ve seen be rude and disrespectful to the team. Ogden and Weber County did us proud in law enforcement’s response to AWP coming to search our waterways.

They have more than proved themselves and I think cops are starting to get that these guys are the bees knees and they are professional divers and they are set up for success and cops have a wide spectrum of things they do Sooo taking advice or shadowing a group that is set up for this kind of thing it's a huge learning experience for law enforcement and not only that you guys working at your strengths you compliment each other like peas and carrots
Thats so cool to hear that Heavy D and crew were inspired to start searching for missing people after working with AWP. More and more teams are joining the movement which means higher chances of people being found. It’s awesome.
heavy d crew worked with awp earlier on when they first started there are videos on youtube when they started , then something happend and there was just doug and a young crew and jared with some young ones and heavy d went their own way , good to see them back.
It's always satisfying to see y'all working with other groups so flawlessly. I hate the reason y'all have to come together in the first place, but all of y'all clearly know that teamwork is dreamwork.

I hope one day it gets to the point that people will think twice before dumping a vehicle in water. The faster they can find them, the faster they can prevent people from making fraudulent insurance claims. Not to mention keeping our waterways clean. These reservoirs hold our drinking water....
I always love when law enforcement works with AwP. So many officers get upset when Cold Cases get reopened because they have to do paperwork.
You can tell who’s in the job for the right reasons.

I just feel that the Truckie Law Enforcement looked super sketchy by demanding AWP leave the premises. Kind of odd.
Kudos to the production team, filming a task force meeting and making sure the sound is adequate is a very different proposition than filming the guys out on the boat.

Howdy Cincy from ur Wellsburg, WV neighbor ( right across the Ohio River from Steubenville, Ohio). I love Cincy. We had intentions of visiting. My daughter was living in Columbus thru the week for work and would come home on weekends to Fairmont, WV. We never got the chance to stop by when I would visit her. We havent been there since she was a senior in high school. She turns 30 in Feb. Best wishes.

The Tammy Goff find hit me hard. I am an animal lover and has had my share of loving dogs. I sobbed when I saw the dog had run desperately on the riverbank for hours and hours after giving up swimming to find her in the river to save her.
That one got me too. Jared kept coming back to her dog, his intuition that there was a reason her dog was seen on both sides of the water that day. Jared has a sixth sense on the investigations.

I have no doubt that once all law enforcement see AWP as a resource tool, rather than a wedge to their egos, that many more cases will be solved.

Thank you for your service. It was a dive team like yours that was able to find and retrieve my uncle and his friend after their 2 man airplane went down due to mechanical failure near Ogden in 2017.

Refreshing to see law enforcement partner with the AWP experts to finding a missing person. This what true commitment to public safety looks like!
Pineview Dam was where we hung out most. Causy was also nice but much smaller and no boat ramp. I can’t tell you how many emotions I experienced while watching two of my most favorite you tube channels teaming up with Utahs finest and seeing them all looking for Shane together without egos getting in the Way of the work that they do. My most sincere thanks to all the agencies who supported them while they were in town to all the law teams working together to help them and share resources and information. I’m also retired now but I had the honor of working in law enforcement in Idaho at CPD. I’m so proud of the work I got to do with the people i worked alongside. I’m also so proud all who are a part of the puzzle pieces Pierce’s that were present of the Ogden units up at The dam for helping heavy D and AWP to look for Shane’ and his bright Orange car, and finding a couple of cars near the dam in episode one and I can’t wait for episodes 2 and hopefully, more of the gorgeous Ogden canyon and some and my stomping grounds being shown. It’s just such a great feeling seeing Weber County Sheriff alongside Ogdens finest and the Forest Service for all of their support of this civilian team coming in and being welcomed by LE. with opportunity and hopefully they’re setting an example to all other LE agency’s across this Country for seeing them as a resource and for not running them off the Way like we’ve seen happening with other agencies that really could have used their experience in this work and not mangling it up the way we know they do when they are thinking we got this, when they don’t. Editing on my iPhone is not working properly so please excuse my typos and errors and see the big picture. And, I hope AWP and Heavy D got some of our favorites in Ogden like the pizzeria. And so many more cool places I love in my town. Great job guys and gals who are doing groundbreaking work with these teams. You look amazing to me for the way in which this was handled.
