Tropical Weather Forecast - August 14, 2023

It's the middle of August, and as expected the Atlantic Basin is showing signs of life. Look for a named storm or two over the next week.

With the fires in Maui and hurricane season upon us I’m very concerned that the home owners insurance industry will retract even further. If a hurricane hits Florida this year, expects premiums to go up significantly again.
