Caesarstone Student Designer Competition Awards Ceremony 2023

The Caesarstone SDC 2023 culminated in the highly-anticipated awards ceremony held at Battery Park, V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The level of talent in this year’s entries was incredible - and the judges had their work cut out for them when selecting the top 9 finalists, as well as the top 3 and ‘best presentation’ awards.
Attended by our country’s leading industry experts, guests were treated to a beautiful day out in the sun with DJ Kixi and DJ Ready-D playing fresh beats to accompany the festivities.
The brief’s theme of ‘Amplify’ was sewn through every detail of the day from oversized spoons to dish up the food to the quintessential Cape Town Gatsby strutting its stuff with an abundance of exciting flavours. The dynamic team at Studio H created a fun, interactive, and fresh event that left everyone wanting more!
The winners were decided! Congratulations go to:
1st place: Theo Magwira (Nelson Mandela University)
2nd place: Marlet van Zijl (Design Time School of Interior Design)
3rd place: Nakedi Phefadu (University of Witswatersrand)
Best presentation: Zac Setzkorn (Nelson Mandela University)
