Vanessa, you're my favorite online English teacher because you're the best ❤. I love your accent because is quite understandable for me. The English language contains a bunch of different, rich accents worldwide just like any other language. I knew that there are several English accents within the United States 🇺🇸 because many people in the country are used to see and define objects and habits around them in a remarkable, weird way and certain things of their daily life, of course that's pretty common depending on where they're from. It could be so tricky to understand some accents like the Texas's one because of the richness of vocabulary and the insanely complicated way of speaking English to foreign ears like mine and I think even Americans themselves from everywhere else may have some problems to catch it. In a hypothetical case I would ask them: Can you speak up a little please? I understood nothing 🥺.

Your accent developed in that way because you have gained a good speaking skill in order to teach people from various region especially when you were in South Korea. You are habitually aware of your student's comprehension of understanding you. Local people doesn't care whether you understand them or not and they just use the language in their comfortable way. But after having lots of non-English speaking people as your student, your accent got that spotless vibes and standard tone in your day to day conversation. Your both children also needs to learn the standard English first. After they grown up they will pick the locals slangs up into their brains easily.
