She had very little time to pick and rehearse a new song. The orchestra was not available. She called her guitarist-friend, who flew-in from Manila, to accompany her song. They had one night to rehearse and this was the result !

You were not the only one KZ impressed. A Great Big World was highly complementary about KZ's version of their song. If I got the story right, KZ was having trouble working with the band on the show to get the arrangement of the song the way she wanted it. So, she called her friend Makoy the guitarist back in the Philippines and had him catch a flight into China the day before the show. I think it worked out brilliantly.

I think this is the one with the wrong audio. So if you notice, her voice is not in sync with the instrumental. Wrong timing. There is an existing video with the right timing.
