Matt and Trey are kind of a tough on them selves when I was a kid me and all my friends played the first N64 South Park game all the time, on co op and death match.
these guys are actual geniuses. Every departure from their long running, successful and beloved show has been a home run. The South Park movie is a classic, Team America was the funniest movie released in 2004, Book of Mormon probably the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful plays to hit broadway in a decade...now this, which had gotten great reviews, and sold really well. The only thing I can think of that wasn't so hot was the "That's My Bush" TV Show, which had a hilarious premise, but got old fast, and was promptly cancelled. Funny, because while "That's My Bush" was being produced, South Park was undoubtably in it's golden era; the very, very best episodes were made from 2000-2004. The episodes that came out while they were doing 'Mormon' kind of...well, sucked blue balls, on the whole.
I believe it will since they been doing so much hands on for the game. When they focus on something it comes out great. The show, movies, and Broadway they have done are amazing because they were having such control and hands on with the projects. So there no doubt in my mind that the stick of truth will be awesome.
I mean these guys have created movies, tv shows, broadway musicals, and now what appears to be an amazing south park video game ! These two are incredible!

I respect the fact that they are taking their time polishing this game. I just wish they would stop making promises with release date when they are most likely going to postpone release again. They should do what CDPROJECTRED did with cyberpunk 2077 and tell the public it's ready when it's ready instead of promising a release date.
It would have come out last year but I think THQ going bankrupt had something to do with it. I don't know what they went through, but transitioning to another studio to work on it might have made the release date pushed back.
It's clear Ubisoft understand and respect Stone and Parker- and for good reason. They deserve every ounce of respect they get, and keeping the game in development until it is absolutely 100% complete is the right thing to do. It's rare to see Ubisoft doing this kind of thing, so it really shows what influence this duo has.
don't listen to them you gay fishes, take your time, being a gay fish requires time, perfection, dedication and you will end up with quality. South Park is one of the few TV shows worth watching. More educational than the news or a church.

Which I thought was decent. It was the only game at the time that captured the look of the show, even if it was limited.

No. The old south park game didn't have Matt and Trey directly involved. They merely sold the rights. This one actually has almost complete influence from the writers. They've actually spent ALL their time in making sure the punchlines are perfect and fall in with usual SP standards.
Well, they exposed THQ and said they were rushing, I honestly can't wait for this either, but Ubisoft said it was no where done when they got it from THQ. So it should be out hopefully October-December, somewhere between there

Can't beat a bit of free dlc! plus, it was originally only going to be 4 month wait as the game was originally set for release beginning of March - in hindsight I would have waited for a firmer confirmation of release, but now I know if I forget about this for a while it'll turn up when it's ready - i can concentrate on the last of us and beyond two souls now :)
