One of my all-time favorite quote comes from Matt Stone. "I used to be a 1600 SAT math nerd. Now I'm a rich guy making jokes about midgets and puke and lactation." LOL
Matt is such a sweet heart. Was always the first to answer the really awkward questions, in particular the one with the guy trying to sell a script.... Class act
I remember reading somewhere that Trey said Matt is always the one to deal with Comedy Central and take meetings about censorship etc. because he can handle confrontation well. Kinda shows here lol, Trey seems more abrasive while Matt seems a little more affable and like he could get even the most corporate people to chill.
They are explicit about the roles. Stone is responsible for 90% of the business side and Parker is responsible for 90% of the creative side. Stone will readily say his role in writing the show is almost non-existent. Beyond the writing, Parker does all the voices (works really hard with accent and voice coaches), the directing, the song writing (which he loves), etc. However, the dynamic he has with Parker I believe is still important to creating the best product. As far as abrasiveness. Parker is way more abrasive and impatient. Being abrasive does not mean you enjoy or are good at conflict. It especially does not mean you would be better at handling negotiations. Stone must enjoy aspects of the business side and Parker has said he hates the business side. Otherwise, the partnership would not work.
Stan's house is in-between Kyle and Cartman's. It's symbollic. Stan is the most human character, who we are supposed to relate to the most. Kyle is good, Cartman is evil, and they live next door to him just like an angel or a devil on either shoulder
It's something I noticed while I was playing the game because they make you choose a side. I also noticed that ultimately, what side you choose doesn't matter... because each side equals an extreme. There have been lots of stories where holy powers actually make things so pure that being a bad person is against the law... and those extremes are equally as wrong because they're trying to control you. In the game, both sides are just trying to utilize your powers for themselves.
Tbh I do remember watching this at the time and both the abortion clinic and the Terrence and Philip fart gurus seemed so insane and specific for Trey to just make up on the spot that I had to assume he wasn't kidding. But it was a real toss-up.
At family guy panel, you can see Seth and cast poke fun at the awkward people asking questions. after you see that, you really get perspective for how patient and nice Trey and Matt are being here
I think his ( and by extension, anyone who does this ) thinking is "This embarrassment is temporary, and means nothing compared to if it means I get my career off the ground." However, they don't realize that there are physical barriers and protocol ( ex. twelve lawyers, etc etc. ) which prevent them even touching a script. In the end he just look like a desperate asshole, which if you're at a job interview ( in which case what he's doing kinda is ) the very LAST thing you want to appear is desperate! Networking is everything...not desperate Comicon pitches.
South Park is sooo fucking hard to resist. Matt and Trey are simply geniuses. I'll never forget my time being exposed to South Park as a kid, and I thought "Wow!" it was so incredibly insane to see Kyle talking to Mr. Hanky. These days... they always attack modern topics with such a crazy perspective, but in the end we all know it's sadly true. Mad geniuses of our time.... please don't kill Butters. : )
It's so hilarious that almost everything they said about the game is true, and everyone laughs at what they say as if they are jokes.(Like Terrance and Phillip teaching you the last dragonshout)
The true measure of comedic talent is: can the person in question be funny in a room or in a normal everyday conversation? Trey and Matt are just talking to fans here and they're still fucking funny as hell. True comic geniuses.
That's not exactly true. Some of the most popular comedians have had their material written by someone else. They don't do standup themselves because they don't have the stage presence or timing that the people they write for have. So sure its an amazing talent to be funny in front of people while unscripted but I would never say its the true measure of comedic talent.
That would be awesome, I imagine the logistics of that would be a bit nightmarish, especially since these two said they would kill themselves if they did another puppet project lol
I don't thinks it all of the sudden sucks because google bought YT, it's because people looked at it more than just this tiny website where you may upload videos as a hobby. When people realzed you can earn a living off it that's when more "Professonal" videos come from, whether it be an informational video, an entertainment video, or just something someone decided to upload, if it brings in more people the website becomes bigger and more popular.

Chef can't be in the game properly for 2 reasons. 1 - The actor who portrayed Chef was a Scientologist and left the show after South Park made fun of Scientology. 2 - The actor passed away shortly after. So they could only use snipets from old shows, just like they did in the show.
yeah they did the same thing they did for the Super Adventure Club episode with Chef. Just use recordings that make sense to use at the time in the story. I mean nothing really to explain here....

Yeah, or they only behave in a "holy" way because of corruption, and are actually far more evil than those they condemn
