i dont understand why the audience keep on screaming while she was still singing....i think they mistakenly attended the show. one more thing, Applaud when appropriate, refrain from whistling or hollering. General theater etiquette states that whistling and cheering are in bad taste.

This is an outdoor event. Not an actual theater performance. Clapping , cheering are totally fine. This is such a rare event where 2 persons of color are principal casts of the show, whose roles were traditionally casts Caucasian actors.
Probably there's a lot of Pinoys in the audience. You know how we applaud and cheer. It's not poor etiquette (it's not a theater), it's probably mostly cultural.

Lol at people commenting on how the audience making noise. This is West End Live. It's literally a free concert where everyone is on their feet, outside. The vibe is 100% not the same as being in a theatre. If you want to hear a version with less audience, go pay for a ticket to see it in the theatre. Also some applauding mid song isn't always bad depending on what the situation is. As an actor that energy from an audience can be exhilarating, especially in an a theatre setting where you can't get visual cues from the audience on how they are feeling.

There are so many great versions of this song. Lea of course and now Rachelle Ann. My favorite is Ruthie Henshall in the 10th Anniversary concert performance and major props to Anne Hathaway whose rendition in the movie was heartbreaking and gut wrenching. It's an iconic song and there have been incredibly talented women performing it over the years so who cares about comparisons at this point.

At the beginning of the song it was a little blank emotionally for me, but that definitely changed as she went on. By halfway through the song she was really selling it, by the time she reached the end i was impressed
