Eva as Glinda and Rachelle as Elphaba.
What a concept.
YASSSSS
Zaldy Garlan Jr. I think Rachelle should be Glinda though because I feel she has a higher voice and is more girly
Amy Leigh Well Thanks for sharing your insight! I just thought that Rachelle has a more raw way of using maybe because of her pop background in singing and I think her voice fits a little closer with Idina Menzel. On the other hand, Eva, has a soft voice which makes a better character for Glinda, the way I heard from Kristin Chenoweth.
Either way, I’d be glad to see them perform Wicked in broadway. 😊
Zaldy Garlan Jr. agreed they are both fabulous singers either way
Amy Leigh what ? Rachelle have a darker tone and more raw than Eva! Eva voice is light and perfect for Glinda
It makes me so happy to see Asian representation in the musical Theatre community 💪🏼
Talia S Lea slonga was the first Asian to get a tony award
There has always been Asian representation in musical theatre?
@@Chaneloweenz But not as much as there is now, thats a fact
Adami no it’s always been there lmao
@@Chaneloweenz just because it's been there doesn't mean it's been easy to find or that many Asian people are in lead roles and ocrs in theatre. It's becoming more diverse than it ever has
nothing but respect for my favorite eurydice and eliza
sam HADESTOWN
Yes Kim-Eponine-Eurydice
Gigi-Fantine-Eliza
a Chinese-Filipina and a Latina-Filipina. you got the common factor there which is equivalent to great voice.
pnoysuede rachelle is pure filipina
@@jonasdimaano3923
No filipino is pure and no one is pure(im talking about our DNAs).. because we are all mix.. though rachell obviously both have filipino parents..
pnoysuede pinoy power
@@kritikasampleone7457 It's always been the excuse of so many just for them to become biracial. 😏 Once your parents are born with Filipino parents that have both Filipino parents too, then they are Pinoys. You can only include yourself in the category of biracials if you still have at least 25% of foreign blood in you. In Rachelle's case, her Dad is half Filipino, half Chinese and her Mom has Filipino Mom and Dad so technically 100% Pinoy and that makes Rachelle 75% Filipino and 25% Chinese.
Every Phillipino I know can sing
When Fantine and Eponine compare their lives in heaven
Savannah Is Not Voiceless seven: the long awaited sequel to six the musical
And realize they’re practically the same since both led tragic lives
Rachelle was well loved by the people from the UK and the rest of Europe. Now she is set to leave West End to pursue Broadway. Thanks people for loving our talent, she is making the Philippines proud! She had gone a long way! Hope she will be as successful in Broadway as she was in West End.
the hell?
esperemengoling!
She’s coming back as Eliza!
Saw her as Eliza on the west end in April and she was phenomenal her burn had me S H O O K 💞
Isn't west end same as broadway?
Stop comparing these women to Lea... they are they own people with their own talents. Comparing other performers does nothing and means nothing.
Kris Haynes agreed, they have Lea’s stamp of approval you would think that would be enough
Well said and correct .
P R E A C H 🙌
And they’re only compared to her bc they’re Filipina, imagine if we compared every single white American singer
@@baeah3021 Almost every Kim, Eponine, & Fantine has been compared to Lea regardless of skin color.
We got Eurydice and Eliza, in the same song, both trained with Lea, both broadway legends, both Filipinas, my dad is now crying, and my weave has been snatched
An exceptionally complementary Fantine and Eponine vocal pairing.
Jedd the Jedi they were both in Miss Saigon together!
Two powerful Asian women performing two beautiful songs gorgeously blended together.
William Einbinder Particularly Filipinas. :)
Eva has such a gift in bringing life to a character and making it seem like they are real people standing in front of you. It really just feels like Eponine singing her heart out in front of you. And Rachelle's voice is full of so emotion and heartbreak. These two ladies really killed it.
KIM AND GIGI!
EVA AND RACHELLE!
😍😍
Mother of Dragons
Eponine and fantine💓
Two Queens
Filipinas be slayin the game.
Both are amazing! Rachelle has honed her voice technology and deeper in rendition of her songs. Eva will go a long way. Lea started in the West End at Eva's age - 17 - when they both played Kim in Ms Saigon. Eva will bloom even more. All the best to both!
bcc bg eva will bloom even more than lea? Well, then eva should have her own Tony from her owmn musical and not from ms saigon, be a Disney princess, record an album in the US, be both Eponine and Fantine in future Lez Mis anniv, be a very respective and established superstar in her native country and so on and so forth then tell me if eva will bloooommmm ever more than lea shabu ka pa more leche ka
joseph252007 Think the poster meant Eva will bloom in her own right and have career of her own. She may have started out a bit like Lea but she’s forging a career of her own and not copying Lea nor should she.
joseph252007 Jesus Christ, stop constantly comparing Eva and rachelle to Lea
Also by the way! Eva is doing very well,She originated the role of Eurydice on broadway!!
@@joseph252007 is english your first language? if it is, maybe you should take some text interpretation classes. I'd help you a lot.
The “blind“ at 1:20 gives me chills every time
Rachelle ann go is really amazing. The girl can do any genre. This girl has so much to offer. Keepsafe always shin.
I’ve realized that if a person has filipino blood or even just a speck of filipino DNA, U KNOW THEIR DAMN GOOD
Eva is breathtaking
[Inspired by West End Live 2016]
1:Fantine 2:Eponine
[I Dreamed A Dream]
1: I dreamed a dream in time gone by,
When hope was high and
life, worth living.
I dreamed that love would never die,
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Then I was young and unafraid,
And dreams were made
and used and wasted.
There was no ransom to be paid,
No song unsung, no wine, untasted.
[On My Own]
2: it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to
myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us
2:I love him
But when the night is over
(1:He slept a summer by my side)
2:He's gone
The river's just a river
(1:But the tigers come at night)
2:Without him
The world around me changes
The trees are bare and everywhere
The streets are full of strangers
2:I love him
But every day I'm learning
(1:I had a dream my life would be)
2:All my life
I've only been pretending
(1:As they tear your hope apart)
2:Without me
His world will go on turning
1high/2low:
A world that's
full of happiness
That I have never known
[I Dreamed A Dream]
1:And still I dream he'll come to me,
(2:I had a dream my life would be)
1:That we will live the years together,
(2:So different from
this hell I'm living,)
1low/2high:
So different now
from what it seemed...
1:Now life has killed the dream…
I was lucky enough to see both of these lovely ladies in Les Miserables, front row, about 2 meters away. Beautiful and talented x
oh, you mean the spit row. lmao
Oof this is old but idk if it was intended or not, but "lovely ladies"
@@nevvvo780 I was going to say that
LOVELY LADIES SKDJDJDJ
I get chills every time I listen to this. Both of their voices fit so well together.
When this pops up in your recommendations!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
honestly two of the most beautiful voices i've ever heard. pumped to see them both on broadway. can't stop watching this.
At the end of the day it comes with a common denominator for both of them ... A blood of a Filipino...
THEY ATE THAT
Yes. Yes they did. Couldn't have said it better myself
I REALLY had to make an effort trying not to cry in the school cafeteria. Holy moly. I’m sooo proud of these two insanely talented women representing the AAPI community💪🏾✊🏾✨💕😍
