Thanks to Lydd Kart Shop offering A&D in their fleet of Rotax Max karts at a very affordable price, a group of us Club100 racers and I got to experience the completely bonkers performance that Senior Rotax karts have to offer. Plus an unexpected test session in a DD2 which required a brain recalibration to deal with it's straight-line performance. What a ridiculous ice breaker for the 2021 season!
Coming up next week: the beginning of my first full season of car racing, with Mckee Motorsport in MSV Trackday Championship!

Hey Joe! Are you racing YDC at Lydd this year on in O/D categories? Kerb usage is a bit different between these and Club100 along with a few lines marginally, especially the last corner
@@RaceDreamer I will be racing in the ydc for Lydd this year in the lights, I know that cones can be a bit of a pain on the exit of the chicanes as represented in your video last year so I reckon it might be better to stay off the kerbs on the exit maybe, although I’ve never raced at Lydd before and I know there is a massive head wind coming down the back straight so I’ll be sure to utilise that to my advantage, what about overtaking opportunities? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks mate

How much did the day cost in total?
I think Lydd Kart shop are still charging £110 for an hour's driving in Rotax Max and £150 for the DD2 as far as I know
