I would apologize again for this video being so long... but you guys asked to see them lol. So no more apologies! I hope y'all enjoy seeing that I have entirely too many and too much money wrapped up in the baits I've acquired over the last couple of years.

Just rewatched! Still good the second time around, your collection is impressive.
Thanks for taking the time to make this! Great content man!
Thanks Colin!
Alex thanks for doing this one. It may be long but worth every second. I've only have a few glides on a small budget. I have some soft swimbaits and still expanding on them and this video will help me. My eyes are much bigger than my social security check. Got to pay the bills first and the body is to old to take on any more side jobs. I'm just lucky I can still get out to fish. Keep them coming brother. I'll be watching.
Thank you Tom! It took a long time to edit, so having someone watch all the way really helps out. My eyes are much bigger than my wallet as well, I think that's just fishing though lol.
Awesome video man! That is a ton of money tied up right there! I am finally playing around with the swimbaits this year!
That ABT DD is a great walking bait. I got the Dawg Bone color and it catches everything. I use nail weights under the gills to get that Citizen down deeper and faster. Thanks for sharing
Love the ol Dirty Donk! And thanks for the tip on the citizen!
one of the best videos you have made I just love looking at big baits and seeing what others like/don't like and finding new baits to try! The only color you really need for the 8in or 10in magdraft is the white pearl shad gotten a crazy amount of fish on them.
Absolutely awesome collection Alex. I definitely appreciate you taking the time to share it all with us!!!! And again guess who's jealous 😉........ this guy right here. My collection fails miserably compared to yours !! I'm still adding every chance I get.
Thank you John!! I appreciate you taking the time to watch man! And don't be jealous lol, the more you add the more you forget about haha. I realized that doing this!
Add nail weights to the gills and back fins to get the citizen to sink faster
Man I'm so glad that burrito has been putting in work for you! I'm all excited again since I finally got a decent fish. It's time!
You and me both bro!! And you've been gettin some SOLID fish in, I'm stoked for you!!
@@OklahomasWorstAngler I'm about ready to start some lake fishing. Starting to throw around the whopper plopper too waiting for that topwater to hit full swing
@@dakota364 if it weren’t for this dang ‘front’ rolling in, it’d be on like donkey Kong already
@@OklahomasWorstAngler absolutely! I'm just glad I got my licks in yesterday though 😆
Me over here fishing with a wal-mart special lol 😅😅
Def a few of these baits I'm gonna pick up the Gantarel Jr and smaller Megabass Vitalion BOTH in baby bass color have always caught me fish in NJ...
Thanks for doin it brother! lol my collection is growing too. I'm starting to make my own to save some money. If I get decent at it, I'll send you one to test out.
ps, tungston nails can really help make soft baits fall faster. buy the slowest ROF then add nails to fall to whatever situation you're in.
Thank you bro! And good tip on the nail weights, I'd be happy to test any out too! Thanks again man
Lovely video best ever really enjoyed it thanks 😊 👌
Thank you Janos! I'm glad you liked it my friend
There she is I have been waiting on that haha
Haha took wayyyy too long to edit this monstrosity of a video lol
I like 👍 your videos keep us educated 😉
Really nice collection of swimbaits.
Thanks dude!

Awesome video enjoy every minute of it
Glad you enjoyed it!

Welcome to the Okuma Team!

Thanks Jeff!! I'll return the favor bro
@@OklahomasWorstAngler 👊 much appreciated!
U the man.. appreciate the video I loved watching it.. sick swimbait arsenal
Thanks Casey!! I really appreciate it
We have the same problem Alex, too many options… Where’s the (absolutely killer) “bass” Bucca glide? Got my PB, 10.2 on the crappie burrito earlier this month, scared the crap out of me. Good content man, love the big stuff!
hahaha it's a good and bad problem to have! Congrats on that massive PB too!!!! The glide is in a lake somewhere (sad days) Thanks for taking the time to watch! Took me a few days to get this edited lol
Did you ever do a review on the Blast Bone?
Enjoyed the video!!
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm waiting on a 7'10" mod fast right now. Going to grab a 1-4 fast in a few weeks too
Got em both now! Absolutely love that 7’6” fast. Hey when you get it, use code OKWORSTANGLER and it’ll save ya some money too
@OklahomasWorstAngler thank you will do
@@heatholderinc4961 👊🏻
Thank you
You're welcome!
Dude one that I really want to try is the imakatsu stealth swimmer
Yessssss that's a freakin beaut
A fellow okie??? What’s up my guy
What up my dude?! #okiegang
What F5 rod would you go with for glide baits 2-6 oz
How deep do the soft baits running 12/0 hooks run? I really really wish owner would make hooks like the 8/0-12/0 in lighter weights like 1/4 or at least down to 3/8oz. I bank fish so I can't always have baits going straight to bottom getting into thick hydrilla.
Komodo for the win! Even though the handle is on the wrong side :(
🤣🤣🤣 I just call it the strong side for my strong hand lol
Rig a stinger treble on the back of the castaic...
Yep lol, I think I mentioned I was going to... or maybe just thought it lol
You should definitely give the Gigantarel a try. They’re awesome. There’s a guy on eBay out of Alabama called Sheltonsclothing selling them for $30 and they’re legit. He’s got most of the jdm colors too
Nice! I’ll have to check em out, thanks dude!
@@OklahomasWorstAngler absolutely! Awesome content bro keep it coming 👊
I’m here I’m here #OkieBoys
Ayyyyy bro
those super far back treble rigs are fish killers just a heads up. Thanks for sharing
Hey brother I should’ve specified better, we only rigged those up for a certain lake when the fish were just grabbing tails. They don’t stay rigged that way because that’s the last thing I ever want. To kill a fish, at least one I’m not gonna eat lol. I appreciate it!
i was thinking of getting the guide select for 1-5oz treble hook glides, but after seeing this, would u say the ghost code is worth the extra $40? and do u think the Curado 300k is a good pair or would u recommend something else at roughly $200?
110% I think the ghost code is worth it. I love Okuma, I use a lot of their rods. But the ghost code is a superior swimbait rod. The 8’ Heavy would be money. And for the reel, the Curado is perfect. I’ve also added a Revo Beast X and you can find those on Amazon for less than $200 too. I’ve been really impressed with it
I know this review was almost a year ago but I was just curious what rod you used for the Burritos? I’m in Florida and was using the 7’6” Heavy Halo HFX but just bought a 7’6” Shimano Expride B Xtra Heavy for my soft Swimbaits and hopefully it will work fine. Thought’s?? Excellent job by the way
What’s up Ryan! Good to see ya in the comments again dude! For the burritos back then, I really only used my 8’ Heavy Ghost Code. Since then I’ve picked up a 7’6” MH ghost code. It’s rated 1-4oz but it’s a fast tip vs the mod fast. I had zero trouble with the 8ft. I think if you’re throwing not only jig hook soft swims but also your beast hook ‘Weedless’ swims.
@@OklahomasWorstAngler I’ll have to check those rods out they look pretty sweet. Thanks for the reply and I hope you have a great New Years
I’m new to the swimbait game and just got a G.loomis 965 Med/heavy rod and a Shimano 300 MD will that be ok for throwing swim baits?
That reel will be plenty for about any swimbait you want to throw! 965 would be too long of a rod, for me personally. But if that’s a good length for you, then send it! I would just be careful of the load on your backswing
@@OklahomasWorstAngler thank you for your feedback back very much appreciated
Those stingers are way to far back. Will most likely kill any trophy fish that eats those. With a big fish those will end up in their gut. Better off moving those forward, any fish that eat thats bitting tail only are not the fish you want. Not throwing shade just my opinion love the videos!
Opinions are always welcome here!! And to be clear, those stingers are for just around this time of year for 2 specific lakes. Actually coming to the end of the stinger season for me. We’ve got two bodies of water that they will just grab the tail from Sept to end-ish Oct lol. Happened to me two weeks ago on a citizen 6 and 8” Magdraft. But to be clear, those stingers don’t stay during the cold months. As for them being fish we don’t want… it’s worked pretty solid on multiple 7s, 8s and 9s for the guys I’m on boats with 🤷🏻♂️
@@OklahomasWorstAngler ahhh gotcha! I’ve seen a lot of people run stingers far back like that and the fish end up swallowing the whole treble that why I said it. If it works it works man hopefully you stick a pig!
@@DLR2234 I know exactly what you’re talking about bro. And I wouldn’t have rigged my own this way, if I hadn’t seen it work lol. One thing is for sure about me, I never want to see a 4+ pound bass die because of me. I don’t wanna see any die because of me lol. But if I have a small one bite the bullet… more food for the bigs
@@DLR2234 The bigger problem is not them swallowing it but the treble catching their gills. It is lethal every time. Even 2lb bass can engulf an 8" swimbait, so I don't think fish not getting the whole thing is reason enough to risk killing giants.
On the other hand, we used to keep every bass no matter the size so it really doesn't matter. LMB have become an oddly protected species despite there being no shortage of them and plenty of wildlife departments across the country stocking them. This does not apply to small lakes and ponds since they aren't stocked regularly at all(in most cases).
What company makes that swimbait rod with the white reel seat sorry if I missed it
All good dude! That’s from F5 Customs. The Ghost Code
I'm looking for a new mag draft and live in Ohio. Do you like the six or the eight?
I started with the 6" but now that I have more experience with bigger swimbaits, I would say get the 8"
Swimbait rod is about the only rod I don’t have yet. Been looking at getting a setup in the next month. Been looking at the Cashion 7’10 heavy mod/fast 1-6oz with a tatula 300. Any thoughts on that combo for something I can cover a wide range of baits?! Also considering their 7’8 MH mod-fast 1/2-3oz rod. I keep going back and forth on these two. Realistically the 7’8 1/2-3oz is probably where I should start, but I look at the 7’10 being able to throw 1-6oz which seems like the better option. Especially considering the avg bait is gonna be pushing the 2 1/2-3oz range from the jump and I don’t want to be underpowered immediately. With that said I don’t live in the south where 7lb bass are like 3-4lb bass here. Thanks for any input if you see this. I know it’s months old now
Man I'm sorry I'm just getting back to you. Regardless of if you've gotten the setup yet or not, I would definitely say to go with that 7'10" Cashion. You answered the question without knowing it lol. Once you start throwing those 2-3 oz baits... they'll eventually feel small and you're going to want to go bigger, trust me on this... I use to think a 6" Magdraft was big... and now I'm throwing Balam 300's, DRT k9's and ghost, DEPS 250 etc... Now for those 2-3 oz baits, I think you'd be golden with a Tat200! That reel is slept on because a lot of guys are throwing 300-400 size reels, myself included. But I have a 200 size reel on one of my 4 Swimbait setups now because, sometimes those 1-3 oz baits just don't perform as well on the bigger reel and heavier line. So, in conclusion, I'd say get the more versatile rod (you'll get another) and start off with a 200 size reel. 15-18lb Flouro is the sweet spot for those 1-3oz baits. I throw up to 4oz on 18lb
Just seeing this video.great stuff. I wanted to comment on your reply to the above cashion rod question. You, sir, took everything right out of my mouth all the way down to the tat 200 slept on suggestion and the fact that big baits become small baits as soon as we use one to hook a few. EXCELLENT advice and so glad you took the time to respond to your above viewer questions. Class act sir- tight lines from Maine to OK@@OklahomasWorstAngler
@@MaineYyak thank you brother! I appreciate the words and support 👊🏻 definitely need to do an updated version of this lol. So much more learned and bait selection much smaller, but purpose driven.
@@OklahomasWorstAngler my baits have also gotten more on purpose rather than just getting everything I think I'd like to try and never really learning the ones I have. Guaranteed they all catch, but I'm more interested in getting solid with my style rather than learning very little about all of them. It's been revealing that soft baits are really where it's at for me (I own 50 glides by now haha) so I have a lot to cull lol. Such a fun way to spend time learning though. Have a good day brother - keep on slaying em
The working class bait isn't a winter time bait as you discovered. The winter time swim baits are gonna be the wedge tail swim baits
No doubt! Had a lot of success with that style too 👊🏻
@@OklahomasWorstAngler I agree, for winter go vortex tail. But, let me add that Owner does make that 10/0 beast in 3/4oz for dragging deep during summer. There’s also a vid from Mike Gilbert that shows how he gets his 7’s deep by inserting a tungsten nail weight horizontally, behind each pelvic fin. Behind, inserted into it. Much love from ArlingtonTX.
@@CA-sl2xw thank you dude!!! Definitely gonna play around with em more and get time in with em. Good lookin out 👊🏻
