I've had my MacBook air for 8 months now and have been amazed by the performance over my previous laptop which was also a MacBook air that I purchased 8 years ago. The quick load, responsiveness and ease of use is satisfying. I rarely play games on Apple laptops but have been pleasantly enjoying Evony on this one which plays flawlessly -- I did encounter glitchy slow down and Sporadic response time only to find the problem was with their server not my laptop for which they compensated me with free in-game power-ups and currency after they resolved the issues. I ordered my MacAir with 16GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD.It serves my daily needs for online banking, shopping -- payment of bills, checking email accounts and general web browsing. It is definitely worth the price for the upgrades and I only had to purchase a relatively cheap adapter for when I charge my cellphone( I keep my phone close at all times ). I like the products that Apple has introduced later in 2021 but I am more than satisfied with my current laptop.

The 2020 M1 Air is a great computer. Had mine for a year and never had one single problem with it. Fast CPU, bright, clear screen, incredible battery life. And it's a wedge shape for a comfortable typing experience (which the new Air won't have.) Grab one while you can. So many great deals out there right now.

Hello! I am a graphic and web designer, and little by little I am getting into the audiovisual world. As a designer I mostly use Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and XD; and personally I edit 4K videos in Premiere and later I would like to do an After Effects course. Currently I have a MacBook Pro 13” from 2016, i5 dual-core and with 16Gb of Ram, and the truth is that for some design and photography or video actions it goes quite slow, it heats up and the fans turn on very loud. Some time ago I thought in buying the MacBook Air M1 with 512gb and 16gb of ram, but now I have doubts with the new models. Yesterday I ordered the 14 "Pro with the M1 Max, 24 graphics cores and 32gb of Ram. Do you think it is an unnecessary waste of money and that the Air with 16gb will be fine for me? Thats definitely right! Blender will reduce the battery life but thats very good, on the 16inch Macbook Pro I would only get like 4 hours with that kind of use! You wont get the 18 hours with applications like that, if you just watched youtube for example you would get like 12-15 hours

@@Techkhamun Thanks for replying Mike. First of all it's the 8 core GPU version I am interested in, not the 7 core GPU, but as all the M1 MacBook Air videos out there are about the 7 core GPU version I have wanted to see/hear if the extra core makes any difference. As for how long and what I will be using it for, as long as possible (I bought my current iMac, the Dino, in November 2007! It's the Mid 2007 20 inch version with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM and 640 GB HDD.) and I will be using it mainly for a mix of graphic design, photo editing and a bit of light weight video editing. I am choosing a MacBook over a "fixed" desktop due to traveling more often recently.

Get 16gb. I have a 1tb external hard drive that backups my files automatically using apples time machine. So you just plug-in your external hard drive and you don’t have to worry about a thing. Also, be aware that storage is always easy but getting more power is hard. Just be organized with your files. Save as much files as you can on the cloud like google cloud. I only have 256 gb and I still have room a year after. What I do every year is clean up files every now and then to make room.
