Herbstreit: I think he’ll rely on Jaxon Smith-Njigba quite a bit today!
This man saw the future 😂
Don't sleep on Marvin Harrison Jr. he had some critical TD catches that helped OSU, I'm very excited to see what both of them do next year.
MHJ is an absolute monster. Outstanding route runner for his age
His dad is in the hall of fame. What more to you need to know? He gets it from his father.
Breakout Season Coming Next Season? I think so.
Can't sleep on Emeka Egbuka either. With Henderson at tailback, OSU's offense is going to be absolutely ridiculous next year.
He a lethal shooter just like pops
Cant really describe his style, his route running is just so smooth and artistic and he just explodes out of nowhere and is impossible to tackle
Wilson and Olave were like that too, if Ohio State had a good defense they’d be unstoppable
It really is surprising isn’t it, I’m not sure if I have ever scene anything like it. He hits a Deon Sanders gear instantly. Gone….poof…. And the change of direction, the route running , the hands. He might be the greatest wide receiver I have ever seen. We are probably witnessing history.
@@Saidakine Jaxon is a high 4.5s 40 guy, albeit he plays faster than that. He doesn’t have Deion Sanders burst at all- but he Is amazing at stopping starting and change of pace in his routes. He’s explosive without being explosively fast
Yeah I thought he was identical to Olave but after this season, it's apparent he has a different gear with the ball in his hands.
@@08anooge sounds like AB TO me. Didn’t run the fastest 4” but plays extremely fast
He's going to be the best WR in the country next year by far.
He is right now
@@mudslutmusic9052 jordan addison kinda nasty, but he won’t have cj stroud throwing to him next year
Yes he will buddy 😂 cj is a redshirt freshmen
@@_zachmcall Stroud ain’t going nowhere. He going to the draft next year.
@@olegit9342 cj stroud also doesn’t play for pitt..? what do you think i meant?
Welcome to Seattle!
Glad to have him in Seattle, he's going to be electrifying. Go hawks 💙 💚
This guy was simply sensational catching passes today
“I think he’ll rely on Jaxon Smith-Njigba quite a bit today.” If only he knew
Wow what a great kid though. Proud of him being a Buckeye. Looking forward to next year and the rest of the receiving Corp. This was the greatest game by a receiver I have ever seen. No wonder he led the Bucks in receiving. We are going to have another top Draft receiving group next year.
Stroud and JSN just have incredible chemistry. Two of the very best at their positions. Going to bring incredible to watch them next year.
I didn't realize what kinda talent Ohio State had, and to think these 3 dudes (including Marvin Harrison Jr) are all coming back next year.. Could be a championship team.
henderson, stroud, smith-njgmba and harrison are coming back
@@agamer5159 Now if they can just find a defense
Think about njigba wilson and olave with Stroud slinging the rock, best offense in the country
And they have Fleming and the other 5 star too.
@@KINGDXVID_ Fleming could turn into something good
That dude had all his Madden sliders to the right 99 catch 99 speed 99 skill
Man they really weren’t lying when Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave said JSN was the best receiver out of them 3 lol
That fumble changed his entire attitude going forward. Great win by Ohio State.
CJ Stroud throwing for 573 yards, and Jaxon going for 347 of them. Unreal…
Great analysis by Osama Bin Laden
Still hiding in the caves man?
I only want Osama callin my games moving forward
Smith-Njigba running after catches, catching bombs. Catching bombs...you know something about that don't you,Osama?
Idk which performance was better.
Trey Sermon’s 331 yards over Northwestern (2020) or Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 347 yards against Utah (Tonight, in 2022)?
What an offensive display of fire from Ohio State & Utah. But the Buckeyes air raid broke too many records that helped carry the way to a Rose Bowl victory to truly remember, amid the scares.
“I can’t be surprised for what I prayed for” - a true testament of faith. I love to see this in our athletes today. He will inspire young Christian athletes with what he said today.
Amen 🙏
Dude preached! I heard it last night and listened to it again this morning just for that.
Wow
This just really showed why there need to be a 8 team playoff. Ohio state should’ve been in the playoff off eye test alone
fuck no
@@ezntials fuck yes....cinci and michigan over them? if Michigan and OSU rematched it would be a stomping...especially if the weather was a nice clear day where Stroud could throw for 500
If it wasn’t for that fumble he might have 4TDs incredible game from JSN. It’s crazy to think our 3rd string WR just put up these numbers. Olave and Wilson sitting out was the best thing that could of happened for the young WR it’ll give them confidence going into next season.
JSN has been the best wr all year.
He wasn’t third string. He was a starter all year and led the Bucks in receiving.
@@Saidakine He’s our 3rd WR if Wilson and Olave play. Yes he had the best number this season but the main focus when teams played us was always stopping Wilson and Olave. He will be the best Buckeye WR out of the 3 but the focus wasn’t on him this season next year it will be.
@@marleycoldburr no hes the #1 Wr the stats dont lie. Olave isnt close to Smith-Njigbas level give me a break. the only thing he does better is runs faster in a 40 yard dash like that matters
@@will-uq3yr then why were Wilson and Olave always the main focus for other teams when they played us?
Imagine how scary this team would be if they had a defense.
Ik man smh😖
@BROK Georgia’s defense is mid
@@luvcxas not against Michigan they weren't
2:58 I’ve been watching ohio state football going on 20 years, a lot of great quarterbacks have come through. I’ve never seen any of them make that throw.
I said the same thing , stroud really grew a lot this year . His ball placement is something you see out of the greats
I was a doubter, but that throw was perfect.
Said same thing
@@yessiricatchvibes351 his accuracy on deep passes is one of the fist things i noticed watching his highlights, i don’t watch cfb at all really i’m trying to learn the new prospects for the draft
That’s big time fellas he’s going top 5, you can put the farm on it
I’m confident in our receivers next year they all had good games he just had a out of this world game
Like ur profile pic
😂😂 y’all are awesome
He’s amazing man, so good
Future top 5 pick. Love this kid. His talent is mind boggling.
@Davis I didn’t mention Julio Jones lol
@Davis but he was top 6, and AJ Green was top 5
@Davis so was Ja'marr Chase.
@Davis Corey Davis was lmao
Gottem
I'll keep my eyes on him for my fantasy team.
Went to the same highschool, dude was crazy back then.
Caught like 7 tuddies in a game💀💀💀
yessir rockwall high
JFND
Stroud and Smith-Njigba, and Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka and Henderson are all back next year lol
What about Fleming?
@@footballneverstops8143 facts people forget that Fleming was ranked as the number 1 player in the country in his class he's going to be special.
@@KINGDXVID_ It doesnt look like it. Hes got a prototype body and skills but with injuries and whatnot it doesnt seem to click
Can’t wait for the Michigan-OSU game next year
JSN had the catch of the year in this year's game.
Him and CJ will be an insane duo next year
I'm impressed by this QB's ball placement.
he has different style than Ive ever seen, he moves at full speed constantly...not with sharp moves, but silky smooth style. It definitely works and is good inspiration for young guys.
This young man is truly special, what a talent!
He's going to be great in the NFL. Can't wait to see what'll he'll do next year at Ohio State. Same with Stroud and Henderson
He won't be able to deal with the press and physicality at the NFL level but hell of a college player
@@bsstyle123 I think he'll be more than fine in the NFL
@@bsstyle123 Tell that to half the nfl receivers who are the same size as him lol this comment is hilarious
Ohio state home of the best receiving cores in college football
Bye bye LSU hello OSU
He was dominating despite having Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson as the veteran first and second options, imagine what he will do as the big vet in the WR room and as the first option for Stroud...its gonna be a crazy run these two go on next year. And he's only 19!!
They were both out for this game the announcer literally says it in this clip(0:50 a few seconds after this they say it)
Stroud is unbelievably accurate at times. And can make some incredible NFL level throws.
Njigba reminds me of Hines Ward. Not the fastest or flashiest, but when you need a catch in the most crucial times, he is your guy. Also, runs great routes!
I love that it came in a win.
Congratulations young man 🙏🏿
Proud of my bro man doin great things
0:09 things that aged amazingly
He could’ve had 4 TDs if he didn’t fumble short of the goal line
I was so torn watching this game, because my grandma lives in Utah and cheers for them, when we're both huge Ohio State fans at the same time. Glad it was a close one to say the least!
Thanks for the highlights! Great game for Jaxon(duh) besides the fumble!
Wow that is awesome!
the amount of talent osu has is ridiculous
Utterly insane
He had some great plays and stats but I guarantee that the first thing they'll talk about in the film room with the coaches is when he fumbled.
Insane
With wind and fire out earth had to go crazy
Crazy good game
What a hell of a game the greatest Rose bowl of all times
Man raised to the occasion when his fellow receivers bailed on him
Not bailed, made the right choice. Look at what happened to the QB in the Ole Miss game. He played, was going to the draft, and destroyed his ankle. He might ruin his career because he decided to play. I would make the same choice if I were Olave or Garret. If it were the CFP, I would play.
@@willborland7137 that's unfortunate for Matt corral but you don't know you are getting injured until you play the game. You opting out is fine but I still think it
Is a very disloyal/disingenuous to your team and coaches. And imo playing in the Rose bowl or any other top bowl is very prestigious even if it isn't s CFB game
@@ASN_JAY ok but olave and Wilson both played in the CFP before and how is it disloyal. Fans need to learn how to look at it from a business perspective and not an emotional perspective. Wilson and Olave are investments since they declared for the 2022 nfl draft. I’m gonna do anything I can as a businessman to protect my investment 💯🤷🏾♂️
That duo is going to be elite
This is definition of NCAA 06 create a player
He reminds me of Juju - smoother/more efficient, but smaller/slower. He fumbled just like Juju though.
Incredible!👀
God bless this young man.
Rockwall Texas Own!!
wow 347 yards and comes across as humble and grateful.
The sound of the crowd on that last catch gave me chills 🥶
Unbelievable!!!!
Dude a living cheat code
The funny thing is Jamison Williams was Alabama’s best receiver.
I cannot wait until next year to see what he and CJ does.
If he hadn't fumbled that one in the end zone that would have been one of the craziest receiver performances I've ever seen, granted he did do amazing and I give him credit for that.
Dude legit put up madden numbers like I did in madden 07 superstar mode
His run after catch is elite for him not to really be a speed demon. He does everything fundamentally sound but at full speed
He would’ve had another 50 yards and a touchdown if he never fumbled….
The yards counted
@@CrankingItWithJeffToobin They do? That's interesting. You would think they didn't.
@@jorger7723 why? he was established as a runner and picked up those yards before he lost possession of the ball
@@jorger7723 How would you account for those yards? A 30-yard fumble? No, he caught the ball, ran for a while, then fumbled. He gets credit for a reception and the yardage until the point he fumbled.
Lmao what makes u think it didn’t,if a running back did that u would say it counts ! What’s the difference between a RB and WR ?
GOOD JOB REPPIN THE B10 OSU
I bet Jaxon's mom lets him drink Kool Aid on the white carpet.
Congrats kid awesome performance.....Go Buckeyes!!!!!
The amount of trust these two have in each other is ridiculous
Congrats been a fan of you always especially since me and your dad grew up best friends love you buddy
Glad they had him available.
I had a feeling this was going to be a higher scoring game because of OSU's defense.
Still a crazy game
Way to go...
craziest thing is this dude was the 3 option all year lmao next year he gets to be the head honcho fsfs
One word: Monster. Nobody can stop that man, and mark my words… Stroud for Heisman 2022
Wow awesome
NFL Wide Reciever draft is a bout to be crazy
They’re only freshmen
Future Giant right here
RHS represent!!
This guy is who I wanted the saints to draft this year but I didn’t know he’s not eligible, this guy is going #3 overall next year , Tua going #1 next year‼️‼️
Tua? What year is it
@@cambrown2652 Taulia Tagovailoa. He’s playing for Maryland, Tua’s brother. Amazing QB
@@cambrown2652 lol his brother is amazing but I was talking about the dolphins to my buddy when I typed that. I meant Bryce young going #1
@@dwaynecarter3080 hahaha ok I gotcha. I was like shit did I go back a couple years
Smith - Njigba is such an incredible athlete
Buckeyes will be stacked next year...
Pretty excited about Ohio State's football season in 2022. It's a GREAT time to be s Buckeye!! ❤️🏈🎉
That Nigba was going off
Jaxon Smith-Njigba... that has got to be the coolest name in all of sports.
Does this include the fumble yards before the half?
Yes
No Olave/Wilson, no problem
He was getting more targets than both of them even when they were healthy. This kid is special.
This guy is amazing. Let's not forget 3 of Utah's starting 4 CBs were out though. But still, your backups have to do better than give up this many big pass plays. The Utah offense sputtered though. Their final possession of the first half and first possession of the 2nd half could have given them a 3 or 4 score lead, so kudos to Ohio State for adjusting to them after giving up a huge first half.
How loaded is this offense for next season? Pretty freaking loaded
GO PRO
YAH😍😍. Rose Bowl champion again 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️. 😍🙌
I'm a Michigan fan, typically I root for the Big Ten regardless in bowl games, but my roommate is a Utes alum so I had to cheer for Utah. I told him Smith-Njigba was going to have a big game, but it looked like Utah was going to hang up 63 so I thought okay this will be exciting to watch at least, and Utah will win. But it just got ridiculous in that 2nd half.
The buckeye offense is nasty and this is mostly backups. If Ryan Day can Pair a good defense with this offense they are gonna be 🔥 next season
OH‼️‼️
This is why I love college football better
Herbstreit’s first comment was very prophetic.
This was the most exciting game of the New Year's Day games, all the other ones were either boring or blowouts
