For many people, having this choice gets them into modern gaming without the ridiculous PCMR buy in costs seen in the current market. This option aids to getting them started. 🥰👍
Is sad that before one of the point of PCMR was that you can have a more power setup with the same cost of a console, now with a the console price you get peanuts.
You can build a gaming pc way cheaper and probably better lol
@@Rolly.Polly. cap, you need atleast triple the price of the series s to match its power.
@@Rolly.Polly. do share the build for this price
@@Rolly.Polly. not at the moment unfortunetaly
It's a budget build if u take the lights and desk out of the equation. And I think 75 for a keyboard is a bit over the top for a budget build. But no one can complain about the series s. What a machine. Bang for your buck big time. Can't beat it. I've bought one for on the go gaming. Love it.
For sure this is a great solution - I got the Series X and still rock my old 7th Gen gaming latop (with 1050ti) for older titles and the Series X for the new stuff. Gaming Pass Ultimate is the way of the future!
If I didn't already have a stronger PC I'd buy a Series S, great little machine for the money. If you pay MS a little fee you can unlock developer mode and install emulators, just store the games externally on an HDD which is fine for older games.
Agreed, let's see how Sonys version of Gamepass unfolds in coming year.. if they proceed
@@darthwiizius you don’t even need to store roms on a hdd for Xbox
@@HalalHistory
Yeah but you don't need anything faster for stuff up to the gen6 console era. Just plug a 4TBHDD with a cache in then -go download a tonne of stuff- legally rip your discs and carts onto the drive hehe and Bob's your mother's brother.
Hahaha back to back. "We love wood on this channel" "let's bring the third leg into the picture"

saw this comment exactly as he was saying it 😂
This is EXACTLY what i was looking for
100 percent this is a great move, although with how cheap really nice Tvs are these days it would make more sense to stick with the couch/TV console set up and forego the desk, unless you only play FPS games and want that mouse and keyboard with high refresh rates.
Depends on what the tv is, some tvs have ghosting to them.
Yea I use a monitor for my Xbox and the games I play the most are, fortnite, forza horizon 5, halo infinite, and minecraft sometimes. So have a desk with keyboard and mouse and being closer to the screen is great (although sometimes I connect it to the tv to play forza)
Mouse and keyboard sucks on Xbox, it lags for some reason and a lot of games don’t have an fob slider so it gives you headaches
Fr like idk if I should get a pc or ps5
@@iwantanxbox8765 you can link consoles?
I watched 1000 videos and this is the one that helped me the most. I will definitely try this out and thank you so much for sharing all of this to us.
Series s is undeniable value. It’s essentially a 6500xt and a 3700x for 300 bucks! It’s offers nice 1080p performance and some light games can even get 1440p with a 4k example being ori and the will of the wisps. Don’t sleep on the series s , ridiculous value at 300 bucks
My conclusion was it’s basically a 8 core 3600 and a newer cut down 5500xt, it’s still a beast for the price tho and is the cheapest way to get into current gen gaming.
@@uniqifyy2771 yup , basically a 3700x and 6500xt
I was very surprised when I found out Mass Effect LE is 4k30/1440p60 on the series s
Thank you so much, I’ve been searching for days for a nice and simple setup and here it is delivered to me on a silver platter
Can I use the monitor without a pc just my ps5???
Did you cop?
@@KayCelone yes.
So glad that I can rely on you to have awesome videos for me to watch during my lunch breaks! Much love all the way from Texas ❤️🔥
Love my series s tbh, using it with the gigabyte m27q and it’s great for playing halo
I have that same exact desk. Using it right now. Honestly the best money I’ve spent setup wise it’s so good
i can’t catch the name of the desk to save my life what’s the name?
Thanx dude I was playing forza on quality but because of this video I gave performance a try. Its a noticable difference especially if you are turning sharply. I dont think I can go back to quality now.
The setup u built was very good value for money and in this current pc price climate is an awesome option for people.
An affordable setup my prayers have been answered
Love from 🇳🇿 New Zealand
picked up a series s for the living room, would of preferred to get another pc in there but these gpu prices are insane so this will do for now, so far I am very impressed with the performance this thing has for the price
This helped me out a lot, looking into making a good gaming setup for yt and streaming. thanks for this, keep it up ur doing great!
That’s good but one question why on console 💀
@@Limicky i didnt watch the full video, but i didnt even notice its console i thought it was PC lmfao
@@kn0cksfn318 same I I didn’t finish so idk ima just finish it
I was waiting for an Apex Legends test 😄. Great video as usual, I’m thinking of turning my third bedroom into my office/gaming room (have to quietly get rid of the guest bed first 😉)
I’ve tested this like two days ago but not with a keyboard and a mouse. Yeah, I’ve been thinking about getting an extra xbox for myself just to do what you did on this video. I was quite surprised to see sharing stuff I did few days ago but let’s go! We can save sm money if we do this 😁
The xbox series s used to have a 120 fps mode on halo but they for some reason removed it, I hope they bring it back.
I been using the Govee bars and light kit for a while now with the camera and it works perfectly. You definitely missed out on showing it off, maybe it was defective or you didn’t calibrate it.
Thanks once again for your beautiful work
Them light bars work very well on a TV iv seen a mates they are not for small monitors and has to be Calibrated with the pads in the box to work properly but good vid as always
This is the cleanest setup i ever seen!
I loved this video man! Was expecting a pc but that setup was nice ;!!
I got a cheaper desk from eBay for around 100 or so and it's great tbh it came with a outlet under a monitor riser type of shelf headphone rack and cup holder even had cable management system where you basically just wrap the cables around 2 clip like things
Do you need a pc for a monitor or just Xbox and ps5
Bro u helped me so much I just need a monitor to get a whole inter gaming setup thanks to u
Nice 👍🏽 gonna get console setup like this, I have a really good looking and good preforming pc setup but I want a console one so this is the way I’m going.
Totally agree with you on the music, I listen to hospital radio, Forza 4 was so good to listen to, this one I’m constantly changing stations ☹️
I'm currently building my first gaming pc so I've been binging your vids, damn did I get read at that minute point 😂
Btw, thank you sm for sharing all your knowledge
same loool
BRO tysm bro this helped me a lot I was in IKEA Netherlands when I was watching this vid so thank you so much tis helped me
Might do something like this and wait till the the Nvidia 4XXX series comes out or even 5XXX for when budget gpus can compete with the series S
One thing that I actually need, A detailed step by step tutorial of where to buy parts and how build a PC,"in detail"
the headphones u put in the setup are litterally the ones i have on my haead rn
This a good video because
not everyone is rich and look very clean with one monitor
good job
This is really a nice setup sir!
This is pretty much exactly what my brother did! It works great
Does an Xbox one work for the monitor or just Xbox series s
Nice enjoyed this
Great content!
You have such a great personality! Very fun
Aww
@@PcCentric lol
Awesome video! 👍👍
Tbh, I’d still aim for a PC just because you could get a ryzen apu and slap a card in later. You can even get a cheap benq for like $100 and still use the computer for everyday stuff. But I like the idea of this. I think I’m gonna pick up the Xbox series s and make a similar setup for my deaf brother in my room. He plays my Xbox one all the time anyways. I do like the idea of everything readily available. Everywhere you look has a series s.
massively considering this, all i have done today is find pc builds that are the same quality and they are near enough £1000 - this is nuts - you have sold me on the series s i think...
I have a g203 mouse for my first build and I love it!!
ayo ty. now ik what desk im gonna get
I’m on this setup and till I get a pc but for now it does the job.
Always dropping stuff on my foot too, feels
Love the setup
thanks mate
This is amazing
Nothing wrong with iiyama monitors. I have the ultrawide 34" red eagle and it's first class 👍🎮
Does it work with the series s I just want to be sure
@@frenchlover279 it should work with any device with hdmi 👍

Hey Centric 👋 great video just what I'm looking for I would love to take the plunge to a gaming pc but it I'd seriously expensive this is exactly what I'm looking for I have a ps5 digital and a g3 monitor 😀 can you pretty please do a top 5 keyboard and mouse for console video
By this video you got a new subscribers
happy new year :)
nice vid mate
Love this vid
Good review!
best setup video ever
Just bought an xbox series s on offer up for $150 and it works perfectly
This is cool. I’m trying to setup my twins gaming room and I have no idea what to buy
This video made me sub
it would be a good buy for some one who has another device such as a laptop of office pc but honestly i think its just better for convinience if you just buy a gaming laptop
I've given up on PC gaming at this point in the game. Can't find a decent priced build, so the series X and ps5 will work for now. Glad to know you can use mouse and keyboard on the Xbox.
Series s / x and ps5 offer some really nice performance especially considering their price! The series s is readily available and for 300 bucks offering nice 1080p performance it’s undeniable value
Mouse and keyboard doesn’t work for every game unfortunately
Whatever you do don't buy a pre-build, parts are usually old and you'll have to upgrade in a short time.. I'd recommend building your own buying parts bit by bit.
@@idkwhyibothered I just built myself a $750 PC, I got a 1650 super for $220 on Mercari. The i3 10105F for 90 bucks on Amazon and a nice B6 b560 motherboard for like a hundred bucks. The whole thing was 750 and in this market that's pretty freaking sweet . The i3 10105F will be just fine for now but I can easily upgrade to something like an 11700K in the future when games are more demanding and I need more cores. So I have a nice entry level price now with some upgrade room in the future and PCIe 4.0 support with my mobo. Pretty sweet
Can you do a video playing Quake on the Nintendo Switch with a mouse and keyboard?
I love your videos 😁
i think even more budget-y is an xbox one x-s i use an xbox one s and it works very well honestly even after 3 years of serving me
Hey man i don't know much about pcs and couldn't get much help from Google so just gonna ask here
Is i5 11400f and rx 5700 a good combo??
This is noice, I have never seen anyone build a PC with a gaming console, so this was something new. Honestly, if I had a Xbox 1, I would make a build like this, but I still have my Xbox 360 lmao. Good thing I got a PC😎😂
It's just an xbox series s mate

Please can you do a video of everything we need to do once we’ve built a pc for the first time
Jaytwocents already did that it just look up what to do after building pc and his video should be one of the top results
replace the keyboard with a red dragon k552 much cheaper and works extremely well (mines works fine after 2.5 years of intense use)
For a $70 keyboard you should take a gk61 it’s just the best for it’s price
This is pretty much my build. Series S with LG24GL650f, cosmic byte firefly mechanical keyboard and zero-g gaming mouse. Only thing missing is a headset for which I'm using a regular JBL wired earphone as I can't find any good headphones thanks my own nitpicking 😂😂
Is buying the mouse and keyboard really worth it? Because not a lot of games on the Xbox Series S support keyboard and mouse.
Should have went with a 27” 1440p monitor for a little extra. 1440p 60/120hz is the series s bread and butter.
Cool video
The best “pc” if you don’t have a lot of money, but It would be great with the series x because is literally a mini pc
Dude… I have the exact same setup my family has been giving me for presents for like the past 3 years
This is my setup lol, the series s/x is dope
can you make a video about which games you can play with a keyboard and mouse on xbox
dude you have on that setup the same mouse cool
Bruh if I had the money, I would buy this RIGHT NOW like LITERALLY RIGHT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
You have to activate 120fps in the game settings too
Your setup looks cool
I just came back and how in the world did I comment this from 2 weeks lmao
My gf wants the option of playing Xbox games but only wants to play keyboard and mouse. I think I just found what she needs! Great video!
I have a series s too as well as a PC, I recently upgraded my graphics card to a 3060 and I'm using a 144hz Samsung odessey G5. I was a console gamer for a loonng time this year I built my first PC and I barely use my consoles anymore it's hard because I'm used to higher refresh rate now 😅
Thought about selling ur console?
@@issasimpson nope
@Reaps awesome
next year im getting two thousand dollar budget, should i get two monitors or one?
Is there by chance any links to this stuff? What did the total cost come out to?
Would this be ok for my first “pc” gaming setup. I was thinking about going with the xbox bc you can still use mouse and keyboard and then save up for a pc
If u want a “pc” set up then this really isn’t anything buy a console using a monitor instead of a tv, so if that’s wut u want then yea, keep in mind u won’t be able to play many pc exclusive games tho.
Hey man what’s the name of the gaming monitor you using is it fast for cod on consoles?
I have a question do u connect the keyboard and mouse to the monitor or the Xbox
Tbh this is a great help the only thing I would say is if you want to play games like war zone Fortnite etc they keyboard isn’t the best for its price as there are much small, easy to press and overall better for space keyboards such as the GK61. Just saying.
How do consoles deal with screen tearing or do they not?
Just a tip, when selecting monitors, make sure it is compatible with consoles. I have a 1440p144hz ASUS monitor and a PS5. I have no way to actually use the 120hz capability of the PS5 with the monitor as it is not supported with consoles on the monitor. When connected to my Sony A90J tv, the PS5 works just fine but when connected to the monitor, it only works at 1080p60hz no matter the game. I have contacted support but they said there is no way of manually turning on 144hz no matter the name or make of the console. Also, if you play keyboard mouse, NOT controller think twice before going in for a console rather than a PC. I do play keyboard mouse and can’t play most games that I like as they aren’t on console(such as CS:GO or Valorant which only run on PCs)
have you tried a displayport to hdmi 2.0/2.1 adapter? that might work.
You need a monitor that supports hdmi 2.1
@@eyeballpaul-iq2qs you only need hdmi 2.1 if you want 4k with 2.0 you get 120 fps on 1440
The best games are on console
@@promo130 Depends on personal views
to get 120 hz go in to a game thats optomized for series s and in the games settings there should be 120hz
I have the series s and I play on the hp omen x 27 inch I play 1440p at 120hz and it’s really good I decided to get the series s while I wait on the graphics cards to come back in stock now I will say this if you get this series s please get it with a qhd monitor it pairs with it better that way
what does he do to all the pcs that he builds? does he sell them or give them away?
this list should have came a month ago so I could get all of this for Christmas.
