As someone with agonizing dust allergies, I cringed at the “plant” wall. 🤢
You do realize you can wash them right? And if you get good ones can vacuum on low setting. I have 3 critter nation cages put together and one part i have the bottom covered cause my rats like to forage in it plus it’s easy to remove and rinse down and all I do after is blow dry lightly. 5 mats takes me 10 minutes to clean with water and white vinegar
@@newname3021 Too much trouble. When I say I have severe dust allergies, that means Im not supposed to even have things hanging on my wall like paintings, or a dust ruffle on my bed, or carpet, let alone a plastic jungle lol.

I learned very quickly after moving out on my own that I buy things for my house based on how easy they are to clean and dust. I started off with such beautiful decorations/ knick knacks and then one day, I went through my entire house throwing out everything that was too time consuming to clean weekly bahaha! If you cannot tell, I hate dusting lol! I was spoiled my entire childhood by having a house keeper twice a week so I never considered how simple or hard certain things were to keep clean, especially with pets!
Same!!!! Except My mom had a small business where SHE was the cleaner for other people. So when I moved out, I quickly learned to have much much less stuff so I didn’t have to clean every single day.
@@MA-zg2pz Awesome! My mom also had a small business (healthcare!) It takes a truly hardworking, multitasking mother to start up and run her own business :) Sounds like both of our moms are/were great women (I sadly lost mine to COVID the end of 2020 way too young)

The last one is pretty cool. Most all of the others remind me of retro coming back. Some we had when I was growing up in the 70's/80's.
Whenever I see wood trim added to a wall, I think Cool, a lot of dusting!
I remember growing up in a house where the biggest bedroom had a giant ass mirror across the wall. I used to do dance so it was the perfect place to practice. & the living room had a wall with 3 long panel mirrors so I would practice good posture for orchestra & band.

@@alphastar9618 oh wow i lot actually. By the time in 4th grade i knew how to play violin, viola, cello & bass. 5th grade i started learning how to play the clarinet, harmonica & piano. I still play the violin & harmonica to this day.

You can’t go wrong with a simple accent color. We painted one wall a different color and it made the room look fantastic! If we ever want to go back it will only take about an hour to change it.

I had a friend who lived in a big, multi bulding apartment complex and each building was 4 stories and 4 floors of different apartments. His apartment managers didn't allow tennants to paint any of the rooms a different color, but they did allow tennants to paint accent walls in the bedroom(s) and living room.
Accent walls tend to make things look nicer than blank white walls which helps the apartment complex rent out your apartment easier to whoever moves in after you leave. So they allowed accent walls (paint only) because it also benefits the apartment complex, too. So, it's really not all that out of the question for your apartment complex to say yes to an accent wall. Just take detailed pictures of the wall and the carpet below the wall you'd paint beforehand so they can't keep your deposit by saying that you damaged something when you painted the accent wall.

Unless you will love it for years and is your personal style DONT DO IT! The trends are currently transitioning and all of this will be associated with the decade we are separating from and will look outdated quicker. Create a personal style and you'll save money on trends :)

Board and batten, or any kind of wall moulding, actually increases your home value.
I can love my room, but get unsatisfied with it after a year, so I change it up. so I'm fine with trends like this.. 👍

As someone who has a ton of fake flowers and those plant “sheets” everywhere... spiders and other insects love to live in them if you are not cleaning them like everyday. I learned the hard way 😅

This is the kind of thing where it looks good now but trying to sell this 20 years in the future is going to be like trying to sell orange carpet or popcorn ceiling. It does look cool though! I just doubt the longevity of it.
I would argue they already look pretty bad. Like maybe they got the inspiration from actually good designers but these dupes are roughhhh. Some design trends most of us just can’t afford to copy and shouldn’t try 😂
