I like your personal and professional style! Not a lot of unnecessary chit-chat. None of the "Look at me, I'm wearing the latest Designer fad"! I appreciate the simple "Here are some design ideas you might be interested in." Thank you so much! I subscribed last week.

So hoping this channel picks up steam quickly! Excellent tips on accent walls with great visuals. Will forgo the graphic "peel and stick" wall covering - trends disappear too quickly leaving the homeowner with the task of removal. Thank you!

YES! This is exactly the sort of calm, pleasant and well-presented video I needed to address my interior design concerns. I just bought a condo that still retains its mid-90s "golden oak everything" appearance and I'm doing a lot of updating. The living space is quite bland and I want to create some interest that doesn't focus on a television. I like the idea of installing a sleek gas fireplace into a section of natural stone or large, dark, matte surface tiles. The only uninterrupted surface is a long wall opposite the picture window. That wall is taller, though as the ceiling is slanted toward the window. I didn't want to do the entire wall - just a vertical section wide enough to accommodate the fireplace and I'm concerned that the feature will overwhelm the space due to its height (~13'). I have a roll of brown butcher paper and I might simply hang some up in the space for a couple of days to see how it feels before proceeding. Thanks for the great videos!

So glad you enjoyed the video! I like your ideas for the feature wall and hanging the paper ahead of time to get a feel for the scale is a great idea. I'm partial to natural stone myself and I think it would look great. If you did it in a similar color to the adjacent walls it wouldn't be so overpowering but the texture and subtle color differences in the stone would provide enough contrast to keep it interesting. ~Liz

That's the thing I struggle most with. I'm choosing colors for all the house and there are so many beautiful colors and combinations! I want them all 🤣😂🤣 In my home office I want to put 3-4 colors, green, blue and yellowish, because of my peacock art. The fireplace is a living art in itself and I don't know if I have to put some colors around. Very helpful videos 🥰🥰🥰

Hi Meggy! I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful. If you want your peacock art to stand out but you like bold color, think about selecting one color from the artwork for your walls and allow the other colors in the pieces to stand out in contrast. Same thing with the fireplace. Too many colors will overwhelm and not allow these focal points/accent pieces to stand out. ~Liz

Hi Hazel! You're so welcome. I'm glad you got some good ideas. I think the grasscloth would look great with artwork. You can use the same strategy with it as with the Paint + Art option. Let me know how it turns out and thank you so much for your support! ~Liz
