- Welcome to a first preview of Nucleus. While Native Instruments is encoding the library, we thought it would be a good time to give you guys a first walkthrough of the content that comes with the library.
Please note, that this is a pre-release version that does not yet have the Kontakt Player library tab and a few other features that will be in the release version such as the phrase builder for the choir.
As you can see from the interface, Nucleus comes with two different mix mic settings both of which feature in-situ panning for all instruments:
Classic Mix: which features the raw and unprocessed sound of the original recordings
Modern Mix: which adds subtle processing to make the library as plug and play as possible
Please enjoy and look out for the next round of walkthroughs, tech demos, and demo tracks that we'll be posting soon (including comparisons between the two mix mics). - Krátké a kreslené filmy
For whatever reason the choir really gives me Fable II vibes and I love it.
I am surprised how good this sounds compared to the relatively low size of the library. The sound is breathtaking, well done. This video sold me.
6:05 Sounds so lovely :)
Wow, sounds absolutely amazing! Can't wait!
Now this is an amazing library! Great job 👏
I was so indecisive, but this video sold me. Nucleus, I'm coming for you!
The soloists are so beautiful I shed a tear of happiness.
Do they have solo violin, viola, cello AND bass?
@@percyjohnsoniv1794 Violin, Viola, Cello, Trumpet, French Horn, Descant Horn, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, English Horn, Bassoon, Soprano Angelic and Soprano Operatic.
@@DacianRapist wonderful! Curious of anything you dislike about nucleus? It sure sounds beautiful to me.
true....
Crap. I didn't want to purchase another orchestra library... oh well. Beans and franks for dinner for the next few months.
Beans and franks is delicious so that's a win-win.
@@JustinNathanielAdams plus you will lose some weight , always see the good stuff in life brother! :D
Don't forget SPAM sandwiches!
Nah. We gonna chow bread sandwiches
I just purchased this library. I had researched for months and this library is by far the best for the money. It's incredible.
Does it have solo strings? Solo violin, viola, cello and bass? And any other solos?
@@percyjohnsoniv1794 Solo violin, cello, flute, clarinet, bassoon, oboe, trumpet and horn
Really impressive library. The strings and woodwinds sounds incredibly good😊
Wow, sounds great!
Sounds incredible.
excelente...la orquesta definitiva !!!
I'M SO EXCITED! I HAD TO WRITE IT IN CAPS!!
hey, calm down , you could get arrested for that
Awesome!
These legatos sound great! I have LE right now, but I'll definitely use the credit to upgrade later!!!!
This Nucleus The Orchestral Core, is like Disney Orchestral, i like this library.
Boy this sounds really amazing!
Love it, great job and sound!! I have Jaeger and I'll be grabbing this next! -Fiyastarta
Yeah, you've successfully convinced me...
Daniele sent me over very impressive and all the best with this New library
who is Daniele ?
@@YoungBlaze Your mom
@@metalsnakeheinner3399 what about her, she was amazing
This sounds awesome. A great benefit of Nucleus is that unlike some of your competitors, this library is efficient - in choices made for ensembles/articulation, the interface, and the SIZE on disk.
The size is really important. Spitfire Audio's Albion ONE is about 50GB in size and has half the instruments this library has. Im getting this one
This is a great core Library 👌
Now you should make Section libraries like Woodwinds, Strings, Brass, Percussion, and Choir all deeply sampled
(Have everything to have legato, sfx, ostinato loops TM and basic articulations)
Wait?
Your name is Paul and you are ”very excited” to show this library?
Sure you are not actually working for Spitfire Audio?
Lol
Love it 👌
Haha that’s exactly what I thought as well
xDD
Please make a full brass library that has Legato on Trombone, Tubas, and Cimbasso
You did a great presentation and I don't have an orchestral library yet and when I heard this demo I was thinking of Albion One and then Palette SketchPad, and now Nucleus. Gee, a lot to choose, but I like this one. What is the difference with Palette SketchPad? Is one easier and the other not so easy? Please reply.
4:37 Hasta la vista, baby !
I have this library and have to say that it's nice but not as good as Spitfire's BBC SO but... The sound design and percussion and choir parts of this library are amazing!
Hi everyone, Could this be the ONLY sample library I need to score films for a company I'm working for? Thank you. I'm very new in film scoring, moved from a corporate job.
can we grab and export MIDI notes into DAW ?
amazing...Do you offer student price?
Did they make any new recordings for that or are these just newly packed samples of their other libraries?
It's a lot of new content: woodwinds, choir, soloists, tonal percussion, sound design
6,16 Alien flutes ?
除了弦乐铜管木管以外都是亮点,打击乐合唱都很好
So it seems like Albion 1 percussion is pretty dynamic depending on how hard you strike the keys. Is Nucleus that way? I don’t have Albion 1 or Nucleus. Trying to decide which to get
Albion One does not have as much instruments as this library. Im down selecting between Palette and this.
Oh man, Guys.... this library is sooo awesome. I bought it last week........ Please could u make more Details for this library & more instruments, extra patches or separated Libraries (+Solo Trombone, Tubular Bells, Cimbasso, Triplets, LEGATOS, Mic positions, nice piano articulations, Rips, FX, runs, etc.) it sounds fantastic. like it more than Jaeger. the only thing I don't like so much are the percussions (not the samples itself). the instruments could have more sound, it's for my taste a bit too percussive & thin. The timpani sounds a bit like a old Ludwig timp with a very thin drumhead. needs a bit more substance. thx, NUCLEUS ROCKS
Yes unfortunately like many other libraries, the Timpani does not have a good tone, more of an impact. The only Timpani I've liked is the Kontakt Factory Library Timpani. Even specialized Percussion libraries like from Spitfire sound like this.
I'm a beginner, and I think the sound is amazing. I'm concerned about the exclusion of legato patches for every instrument and ensemble, and the lack of various mic positions. It almost feels "too" lite. Not out, but not totally in yet. I would pay $2-300, but $449? Albion 1 offers much more, including 4 mic positions, at the same price. Just not sure if the raw sound is convincing enough, although it's pretty darn convincing.
Albion 1 might be good for beginners. However, it lacks choice of individual instruments.
By the way I was able to acquire an educational discount for Nucleus, so I purchased it and honestly couldn’t be happier.
@@NHockerJazz so would you recommend it for a beginner?
@@marvinschluckauf6783 If you're JUST starting out, Nucleus Lite is only $99
can u free hand play the strings on the keyboard or is it all pre programmed melodies
if i use this with the free kontakt 6.1.1, it doesn't have this 15 minute demo thing, will it?
It wont
Pressure settings compatible (Ableton 11) ?
What are the differences compared to Jaeger? What would be the main reason to buy Nucleus or Jaeger?
Jaeger has more articulations, mic positions and a pretty dope solo vocalist,...although it doesn't contain woodwinds, choir or solo instruments,...so they actually compliment each other, though Nucleus is probably the better all in one package for film scoring
damn here i am still running Symphobia 1 and 3
One does not simply abandon Symphobia.
@@imp.1785 lol man you never lied! I love the horns in symphobia!
Not really much reason to switch then, symphobia still holds up :)
No solo Oboe?
What is the difference between this library and Jaeger? Which one is better?
IMHO the strings sounds much better (violins specially), has a choir, woodwinds and solo instruments (jaeger doesn't). Without processing sounds much better than Jaeger... and is cheaper. The Jaeger is only better on the number of articulations.
Both share the best of both worlds.
Nucleus aims for that Hollywood sound while Jaeger aims for a more modern sound, also suitable for trailer music.
For sure! And what I really like about Jaeger is that you can process your samples the way you want because of the very dry sound. But Nucleus seems to have more resources.
@@neotemplate And jaeger has Merethe
@@earthquakemusic3923 oh yes! Best solo vocal EVER! Has sound design too (braams, hits, etc).
So will this only work in kontact or can I use it in fl studio aswell?
You can use kontact in fl, can't you?
The note velocity is note taken in account in sustain articulation...IS there a way to fix that on fl studio?
Did you ever find a solution or answer?
@@percyjohnsoniv1794 No but I believe it's possible as you can add the pitch wich is also not taken in account without adding it in the configuration
3 years late, but there is - it's done by modulation. I believe you need a MIDI controller to automate the Mod Wheel, however, so unless you own one I'm not sure it's possible.
Seems like an alternative for the new BBC spitfire library but with less articulations. Sounds amazing... still not sure if I should wait for the bbc or grap this. Intro Price is on the run...
The BBC one will sound a bit more realistic, but this one has a really solid workflow and playability.
@@dancegod1691 ok I just bought it in the last second. We will see if I regret it... Already have Jaeger, Ark1, Ark3, css, csb, novo, forzo
@@chrisr1241 hows it going with this so far?
@@YoungBlaze hi, yes it sounds good no question and the solo instruments are outstanding. But I struggle a little bit that there are no different mic positions. Hard to combine it then with other libraries. Some legato articulations are missing too which is a shame. Honestly I tried to get a refund it but the support said that this is not possible
@@chrisr1241 Hey Chris. Blending should be easy in particular with the Classic Mix as that's kept totally raw (just a mix of the mics that were used during the session). The room is a bit drier than the other libraries you mentioned above so we'd recommend playing around with the settings on your reverb plugin to blend all of those libraries together smoothly. Since this is an entry-level product, and to keep it at an affordable price point only the most commonly used instruments for lead melody writing have legatos. If we had included legatos for everything, the price point would have been significantly higher which would have defeated the purpose of the library: affordable, small footprint, and entry-level. As with most other sample library developers, we cannot offer a refund for it once a product has been downloaded.
What’s is CC?
Is this the first “all in one” type of library to contain soloists?
I honestly think so. Can't think of another library that does it.
Well damn! Originally I was thinking of getting my hands on Ark 1 but these soloists kind of have me sold. Thanks for the info, man.
If you want even more patches (soloist from every section, ensembles from every section, perc, choir, bonus instruments) check out Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra. It has it all, for 149$. Sure quality is down, but you can still get sth good out of it. Check out this Spotlight: czcams.com/video/xXNiE7DKzIg/video.html
This seems a bit too similar to Albion One. With very limited articulations, maybe this is best for trailer work? Not really orchestral mockups. At least not anything that I would do aside from trailer music. It's a great all-in-one though, and would make a great first library for anyone.
You should try it! It works incredibly well for orchestral mockups.
I wonder how it compares against Albion 1
@@davidvalens3337 Listen to the demos for both and compare them yourself. The modwheel controls on this are pretty damn expressive and it's pretty compact, but imo the reverb is a little less realistic compared to albion. Compare the reverb of this to BBC orchestra and it's not even close to as realistic. That said, at the end of the day I could see this being more inspiring.
This library seems to have much better Brass. The issue with most of these all in one Libraries is the brass never hits that high dynamic. Albion One, Orchestra Complete, Metropolis Ark, they all barely go above MF, maybe F. Nucleus seems to finally reach it, and sounds good.
@@justinbeamon6624 isn't Ark FFF?
This software lags a lot, it does not synchronize with the other plugins ..., it is not like jaeger that if the sound is synchronized or not delayed.
As far as I can see, the range of instruments (Strings, brass Woodwinds) is little short in low and high ranges, why?

@@henrikpetersson3463 and your cleverness ? Yes it does
Florent Magere 😘
How do you think they were able to make this 20 gb?? They have to sacrifice somewhere. This isn't meant to have every articulation for every instrument. It's made for mockups and general writing, which vast majority of the case is simply longs and shorts.
@@justinbeamon6624 thanks for the update.
I just leave my opion, some other libraries do the same AND provide articulations, but thanks i guess.
