Your temperament is what sets you apart, Phuzzy. A genuinely good human and it shines through in your play style. I remember your video where you were doing hourglass and your opponent gave up mid battle and you helped them and talked them through how to do it without just taking the easy win. This is a similar instance where civility and grace reign supreme. I salute you, good sir.

I love your attitude. You wanted to be nice and make friends on the sea, protected their loot, gave them chances until you sank. They made their decision, so you sank them. Most people, often including me, would panic and fight back on betrayal or get mad for the backstab. You just let them do their thing, but came out victorious. You really have admirable resilience.

I love how the other sloop saw what was going on and went "Wait, my friend is in trouble! and came to lend a hand."
but you had the grounds easily. Those guys refused your parley and when diplomacy is thrown out the window, you got no other choice.
They chose poorly and clearly hate facing consequences. Their sinking is celebrated.

Say GG on a won fight and they get so mad,try to help them and they have no mercy,I don't get how they can be that toxic when nobody is enforcing that for them.Luckly there are so many nice and sportive people in this game,with this other kind of players a sink and "well done" will always be the first option.

I rarely attack anyone without provocation and I'm rich in gold, ships, and an impressive amount of commendations. I've even made a few friends.

I don't think the whining they did at the end is necessarily toxic, but the way they handled that whole situation is precisely why I tend to skip the preamble and I don't give breaks to people for connection or game issues, especially if they were the initial aggressor. Part of never trusting a pirate is recognizing that people aren't going to return the courtesies you pay to them, and I am happy to accept loot freely delivered to me, because, you know, pirate.

These kind of players are the reason people wanted safer seas, and the reason we don't get many new players. They make the game worse for everyone
yea i had quit sea of thieves for 3 years because i would often play solo and run into this but now i’m back bc of safer seas :)

My take: they did nothing wrong by attacking Phuzzy. It's a sandbox and they can do this, just like Phuzzy decided to don't sink them when he could. The problem for me is: they got salty about being attacked too and that's really cringe. I'm glad Phuzzy sunk them, specially with the help from another crew.
Yes it is a sandbox, but there are things that are simply a dick move. Like sinking solo slooper with no loot, grade 1 flag and of the ship doing pve, while in a full crewed brig. Just because you can take candy away from kids doesn't mean you should.

May I suggest in situations like this where you help someone out: give an ultimatum of having them say 'thanks' or sink... I would assume these people had no clue why you helped them and felt cornered/set up when they came back from blackscreen. Requesting a 'Thanks bro' at least gives you a reason to be on their ship and I believe you'll yield better results for content and prevent yourself from feeling burned by doing a good deed.
These POS’s sink Phuzzy in a 2v1 after he saves them then they get extra pissy when they sink in a 2v1. Go figure. 🙄

Phuzzy needs to learn there is a difference between toxic and playing the game how you want. Yes this guy is very uncooperative but this doesn’t make him toxic.

You wonder why people want to quit playing games with non-optional PVP. I usually don't even get a chance to be nice, and the only communication towards me is negative. Just why? Never an olive branch, real alliance, cooperation, positive communication, or sportsmanship. Its only chase down and KOS, regardless of loot. As a solo slooper, I can only fight off a three man brig (that berates me every chance they get) for so long before giving up.
Kindness doesn’t always get repaid, so be careful who you give it to

Very literally the exact reason I show absolutely ZERO mercy on the seas. You want mercy? Go play safers seas. “Connection issues”? That’s called “free loot”.

To be honest I don't find fun role-playing the part of "the nice pirate no matter what until you sink me". I get pausing the action because they were stuck on black screen, but once they were back on their ship, and knowing they were hostile since before, don't reclimb that ladder unless it is to murder
I can’t be the only one who sees no issue with what happened right? Phuzzy wanted to help these guys, they didn’t want the help so they fought. You can’t control how people play the game. Also no toxic voice or text so seems fine to me?
