      @@forestercroatia - You're 100% right. I work in Heavy Industry, as soon as you cut back on maintenance to save that little bit of money, things start breaking, and that usually cost more to tear out, and replace, then maintaining it would have cost in the fist place. Work Safe.

      Unfortunately, no amount of maintenance will stop a derailed track. Concept is great, don't get me wrong. It does have it's cons though. Won't disagree about going with tracks. There's a lot of wear going on there. Cheers :)

    Yes they are building them and its basically a track jack as us west coasters call them, a little hard on undercarriage but will go almost anywhere a lot of the guys up our way say they use the track jacks to pull wood down to where the rubber tired skidders could get to, because these things will follow leveling bunchers around on the really steep stuff. But are very useful if used in the right spots

      @jaredreeves4257 Před 2 lety

      The tracks knock off 30% of its top-end speed. The independent oscillation on each corner puts every bit of that power to the ground. Its smoother to operate as well.

    • @KCCC326
      @KCCC326 Před 4 lety +2

      Robert Jones it is cheap and easy to put on tracks, getting a tire truck to fix flats is expensive and time consuming. Plus the chains are super expensive and get pulled apart in rocky and stump covered terrain, and when loose cause expensive axle damage. If these are durable enough to last, they have real practicality. Also depending on their weight to traction ratio
