- Despite presidential intervention, it appears the gladiators in the political impasse in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, are bent on fighting to the finish. The State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has vowed to keep the camp of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike restless and match him fire for fire. Governor Fubara issued the warning while declaring the purported list of the People's Democratic Party, PDP Caretaker Committee members for the State circulating on social media as fake. Meanwhile, the State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tony Okocha dares Governor Fubara and accuses him of plotting illegality. Okocha vowed that the people of the state will resist his moves.

Nigerians seem to forget the issues at center of Rivers States conflict between Wije and Fubara. When armed robbers disagree on sharing of loots after armed robbery outing guns are drawn and threats issued. Wike and Fubara are products of bloodbath of electioneering robbery. Wike hijacked ballot boxes with guns that brought Tinubu and Fubara to power. Unfortunately, Wike’s reign as Rivers has been cut short. Wike did same to Amaechi, and Amechi did alike to Odili. It’s a recycling political nemesis. The chicken always comes home to roast.
What dud WIKE Want again in River state ? He was local government chairman, 2 Times as a minister, 8 years as Governor, Chief of staff to River state governor, Amechi. What did Wike really wanted.

The people of Rivers State are for the governor. Okocha who is the errand boy of those in Abuja, they are wasting their time. The governor was not hasty. Wike who has ruled the state for 8 years should have allowed the governor to govern the state instead of bossing the governor like a councilor. Wike and Tinubu will never tolerate just one week of what they are doing to Fubara.

I think the other guest is right about Wike misreading Fubara. During the campaigns, Sim was very evidently uncomfortable in the videos. Each time Wike tried to raise his hands, he did not do it with joy. So, these things should not be too big of a surprise.

@@obianan8883 , the case of the authentic house of Assembly is at the Federal Court of Appeal, PH after judgement by Justice Omotosho of Federal High Court, Abuja that recognized the APC defected House of Assembly. The case will end up at the Supreme Court where the authentic House will be laid to rest. That's when we shall know whether Gov. Sim will re-present the budget or not. For now, Gov. Sim has been advised by his advisers and supporters not to uphold his agreement with the President on re-presenting the budget.
